,thanks for a great video westy and nice clear filming. However, we are off for a week's fishing and it is going to be a very very cold water fishing trip. Weather today is minus 4 and snow so I don't hold out much luck and also the lake is only 3 feet deep !!!!! I was always told by other fishermen that you only feed sweet pellets etc in summer and use spicy stuff in winter so I don't know how much truth is in that. Anyway better pack me thermals etc. thanks again westy and keep up the great work.
Class vid as always! I think Im going to bite the bullet and get on the bank next week, you've tempted me too much! Defo going to be trying these corn wafters I think!
Had a great summer fishing at Gingham. One of my favourite fisheries. Pike fishing on the canals for me over winter though. Need to keep moving to stay warm ❄️😂
Great day’s fishing 👍. This’ll be my first winter fishing using a method feeder, so a great thanks for the heads up with the tips. Priority being a flask of coffee 😂
Hiya, great video. I ask you about winter or cold-water fishing & you gave me good advice. I went out last weekend & in 4 hours that's all the time I had, I caught a 17lb & 18lb carp in the margin. I am going out early Friday & will take you advice. Thank you for your time & making great video's.
Main change I make is to use less Oil based baits and attraction. Lower oil content pellets too. When the water is colder, alcohol based flavours dissolve much better 👍
Just watching the Cold Water Method Feeder Fishing, because I was going to have a go next week and needed some of your very informative tips. I was thinking to ask you on how long you were approximately waiting between catching. Allowing for editing. And just as I was typing the question, you up and said 20 to 30 minutes between catches. As always, fantastic video full of some great tips. Thank you and stay safe. Say high to your net caddy for me.
Don’t be scared of leaving the feeder in up to an hour in winter mate, I have often had fish after around 50 minute. But if you are getting constant fish keep the feed going in, speed it up to 25/30 mins like I did here 💪🏻🎣
Matt,I have watched every video you have posted and would appreciate your advice. As a handicapped angler (carp),could you tell me the lightest,strongest,3 metre landing net pole,Thank you..👍
went gingham few week back, was catching bream. caught a bloody big one too. was sure the carp had been stolen haha, went back this weekend when it was colder and got 5 carp on the method feeder.
Had the mics for a while but I have just got the media mod for the go pro to connect them up properly. A bit more effort but definitely some better shots 👍🏻🎣
Quality advice! Any advice on bite alarms? Just picked up a korum opportunist rod and daiwa baitrunner in the sale at Angling direct. Didnt really need any new rods but wanted what westy uses 😅
@Bob-sh9sw l love his videos, but I am a senior on a budget. Fishing tackle and bait is a multimillion pound business. Not everyone can afford fancy baits, especially seniors.
In winter I’m not afraid of leaving the feeder in up to an hour, I have had plenty bites around the 50 minute mark. However 30-45 mins then move the feeder untill you find the fish 👍🏻
Fished Ginghams a few times. I find that fishing bomb & pellet (10mm preferably) just on the single feeder rod to be by far the best method & just pinging in a few pellets every few mins. Those micros on the method feeder just attract the pesky bream. Personally I think using two rods on such a small place where the swims are so small & so close together can be counterproductive.
I have been waiting for this video ! Great timing with the cold snap. Just what I need . It’s been freezing the last two weeks

100% full hot flask is the most important part of winter fishing 😂

Quality shot 😊

A very busy day Westy. Brilliant.
went gingham few week back, was catching bream. caught a bloody big one too. was sure the carp had been stolen haha, went back this weekend when it was colder and got 5 carp on the method feeder.
I think it will be a good winter fishery due to its depth ❄️❄️❄️
@exactly. Was pretty busy for the time of the year, because of the deep water. I’ll be there again soon.
Great vids we need get some more specimen fishing👍
Next year brother
@ can’t wait mate👍
New mic? If so i like it haha
Had the mics for a while but I have just got the media mod for the go pro to connect them up properly. A bit more effort but definitely some better shots 👍🏻🎣
@WestysAngling yeah the camera angle today is good also, much more profesh ha 👍🤣

I’m in the market for new alarms myself, my Sonik ones aren’t the best. Once I get some new ones I will review them
@@WestysAnglingespecially after I trashed one. 😩
I use cheap ice cream topping sauce in strawberry and caramel flavours. Seems to work for me!
Not really supporting westy there with that comment are you 😂

Nothing wrong with that buddy 💪🏻 ignore the above comment. Watching my videos is all you need to do to support me !
What method feeder do you use mate? I’ve used a couple now and each one feels to have its disadvantages
My own in 35g - 5 for £9.99

@@WestysAngling I have 30 of your feeders now ! Well stocked up but superb quality for the price
Get those drenabenas on the hook
Hi westy, just wondering the last time you have gone to brookside was the lake still very weedy or had it died down a bit, thanks !!
Weedy ! But probably isn’t to bad now. There will always be some weed there. Its why big pva mesh bags do well 👍🏻 gives you good presentation
How long do you leave between each cast ace?
In winter I’m not afraid of leaving the feeder in up to an hour, I have had plenty bites around the 50 minute mark. However 30-45 mins then move the feeder untill you find the fish 👍🏻
@ thanks ace 👍
I fish 3 rods on method feeders
Not on Ginghams u wouldn't. It's tiny & the swims are only about 5 or 6 meters apart
@darrenbluer27 don't go there?
Fished Ginghams a few times. I find that fishing bomb & pellet (10mm preferably) just on the single feeder rod to be by far the best method & just pinging in a few pellets every few mins. If it had been busy we would have only fished one rod. But we had over half the fishery to ourselves. So no issues.
