Compared to the Greek & Norse, the Egyptian gods are very different & unique. All myths have similarities but the Egyptian gods with their animal forms, rebirths, hierarchy prove to be much different. There's a good chance the magic system might come back too.
I think that there will be no companion mechanic in the next gow so to make up for it, they will have to introduce another mechanic, which like you say, is going to be magic. Plus, the pantheon itself seems to be much more magical if you will, then other pantheons especially norse. I just hope gow brings back the spectacle and mythological fantasy that it has been clearly lacking in the last 2 games.
@@rgtemple Yeah agreed with a lot of your points. I do think these newer ones have mythological fantasy but they're definitely lower on the spectacle compared to the ogs.
@@Comicbroe405 I'm playing gow 1 as I'm writing this and the difference between this and the norse ones is huge. Spectacle and epic stories is what made gow special not some emotional crap like ragnarok. I have faith that egyptian mythology and its supernatural nature will bring back these features (including magic) that made gow unique.
One other Egyptian Goddess that Kratos should be wary of is Sekhmet, the original Eye of Ra and a goddess of war and destruction. She was called the Lady of Flame and her breath was said to create the deserts. She was believed to be the fiercest warrior and hunter in the Egyptian pantheon, so it’s not that hard to believe she’d give Kratos the fight of his life. She was actually so chaotic and unruly that Ra replaced her as his Eye with Bast.
If egypt is the next pantheon to visit, and we do meet Anubis, id like for him to be a nutural character. In the original mythology he is a protector of graves and the dead, he does his job. Hollywood has had this habit of making death gods into villains, especially in movies like 'the mummy' and 'the pyramid', so id like to see a mainstream piece of media do him justice. If people really want a boss fight with a jackal headed god, why not use the war god Wepwaret, Anubis's brother
One potentially interesting idea is Kratos being in Egypt during its invasion by the Roman Empire, which would include the two pantheons warring against one another with Kratos stuck in the crossfire. I also think it would be a fun idea to have the voice actors for the Greek gods come back to voice their Roman counterparts. Maybe even have Athena be the reason the Roman pantheon exists in this universe.
@@tylerleach8796 The whole plot of GOW in norse era is weak if we compare to what they did to the greek era. The Ragnarok event was lame and misused. The blood bath in Greek era made sense for everything the gods did to Kratos, but everything that came up next was poor written and rushed as shit with a failed attempt to justify the killing spree. They even turned Kratos into a vegan peacemaker that needs something to trigger him to kll Lmao.
I think that the Egyptian pantheon would be an excellent chance for the writers to dip their toes into exploring the idea of syncretism, not just of the various Egyptian gods themselves but also of foreign deities being identified with Egyptian ones, possibly either as immigrants to Egypt (such as my idea regarding Artemis having moved to Egypt and taken on the identity of Bastet or Sekhmet as Re's top agent, the "Eye of Re") or as part of some kind of ritual which literally fuses gods together, whether perpetrated by another god or even by humans with vast and ancient knowledge of magic, philosophy, and metaphysics, since Egypt was, even to the ancient Greeks, frequently regarded as an ancient land of mystic knowledge, hence why they adopted some Egyptian gods into their own worship, most notably the cult of Isis.
True and if Kratos is the main protagonist for a game or series of games set in Egypt we can easily have him deduce early on his new traveling companion and ally Bastet is in reality Artemis with the former Greek Goddess of the Hunt and the Moon, turned humanoid feline Egyptian Goddess of the Sun, the Moon, Healing, Protection against Evil, and Perfumes actually not hating Kratos as she reveals that working for her adopted father Ra/Amun-Ra as "The Eye of Ra" and protecting innocent mortals as well as benevolent deities, and neutral deities from those that threatened them whether it be disease, vermin, evil spirits, or monsters has tempered her personality in that while she's now more gentler including trying to be a good mother to her son with Ptah the heroic lion God of War and Knives Maahes(who in GoW6 will still be a young boy learning how to fight and hunt from her, and how to craft knives and weapons from his father Ptah) she's not afraid to unsheathe her claws and knives/daggers and fight if she has to. With Kratos mentioning to his biological half-sister that sadly this seems to be a situation where the only way to protect innocents is to unsheathe her claws, and knives/daggers and unleash her feline fury upon the monsters and villainous deities threatening them.
" Pretty much all Egyptian gods are related to war one way or another." The same could be said for the Nordic pantheon. It slightly irks me that Tyr is treated as the singular God Of War, when he's specifically the God of Single Combat & Justice. If anything he's more like the God of Duels, and Trial by Combat. But hey, the divergence from mythical accuracy begins with Kratos himself, so whatever
Now thing is kratos has already met the god Thoth and the egyptian gods already know who kratos is and what he did in greece and didnt want to fight him cuz of it but thoth helped guide him on the path he is now on where he controls his anger and is somewhat more peaceful
I do wonder if devs will go the route of reversing the nature of deities in game (such as Persephone, Hades and Baldur) - if we get a story of Set being a good guy (whose nature of chaos would represent efforts to free oneself from tyranny of gods in GoW universe), and Kratos actually joining forces with him, that could be quite interesting. Also, it might represent the attitude towards Set during Assyrian reign in Egypt, since Set was very popular amongst Assyrian ruling class (they merged him with their god Baal, or so I heard), and later became demonised as "foreigners' god" (there is in fact possibility that negative view towards Set came from this time, and before, he was respected as representation of strengh in positive or neutral way)
Chance to make father-son relationship deeper. Kratos learn form horus and osiris relationship . Also Kratos caught on civil war just like game of thrones. Kratos must take side.
There is a lot of about realm of the dead in Egyptian mythology, it's described accurately and I am 99% sure GoW will explore it. Either Kratos will be freeing souls of people to save Atreus what will result in bringing disasters to our world or he will be escaping from there.
Maybe in the GoW verse the OG Greeks Norse Egyptian and Hindu Panteons are much stronger than all the gods we have seen in the GoW games if you actually know their feats for example in the greek myths Hera created the milky way galaxy with milk from her breast Zeus once moved the entire world with no effort a different occasion he challenged all the other Olympians to pull and indestructible rope against him and humiliated them and claimed that all of them combined were weaker than him and he could prove it he said "they were closer to being humans than they were to being like him" and none of them picked up the damm rope and similar things go for the other mythology
Not sure why Kratos would ever leave Midgard, he knows he's on a path to be revered. Unless he gets word of Atreus being in trouble in Egypt he isn't going anywhere.
Aside from Atreus being in trouble I could also see a new pantheon coming to Kratos, purely out of fear. They may have gotten word he’s killed yet another pantheon and fear he’s coming for them next. So they take initiative and sneak attack him leaving him close to death and everything he rebuilt in Midgard destroyed. Leading him to exact revenge.
@@Italian_Ricanwouldn't that be too similar to the nirse saga? Kratos lives his life peacefully then gods come to attack him and he fights back. I would make it a little more complex. Ragnarok and the destruction of greece fueled the primordial chaos that the snake apep takes his power from. During his daily (or nightly if you will) fight with ra, he defeats him and takes control of him to lead the egyptian gods, corrupting some of them. Horus starts a revolt but is no match, forcing him to seek the help of the godkiller himself. So, kratos would come full circle. From destroying a pantheon for revenge, ending into the destruction of his land. To saving a pantheon, ending in saving a land he has no connection with
@@docomega7862sure it would be a bit similar but we pretty much know for a fact that a new game is in development. The setting is still up in the air but it’s a safe bet they are at least considering a mythology change. I don’t think they have plans to stop the series anytime soon and I think they’ve mostly told the story that they wanted to in Norse so either this game or the one after it is about due for a change. We gotta remember too that they never really explained how the fuck kratos even found himself in Midgard like makes enough sense he’d wanna leave Greece but they didn’t explain much. So we could end up in a situation where kratos/atreus is just in Egypt now and they don’t really elaborate
My theory is that kratos travels back to greece to fix his mistakes there, and he has to go through egypt to go to greece and in egypt the egyptian gods attack kratos
Maybe Kratos changes the mind of either Amun or Ra and breaks up what couldve been something catastrophic for every pantheon? He either goes to Egypt for something else and is met with this or he goes for Amun Ra specifically to stop him because they felt the Norse Realm shaking. Thats where he meets Roman/Greek gods too?
I really hope this is where they're headed! The Egyptian gods honestly freak me out a bit, maybe from watching all the Mummy movies lol. Nonetheless I would be stoked to see even 3 of the gods you mentioned!!
imagine Kratos going to Egypt in search of his son, and he fights many gods and enemies, and he meets Anubis and fights him only to discover that its actually Atreus
@@_Nonnez_ yeah but the same thing happened to Atreus, he is part Norse part Greek and that also took away Loki being his own character, which is not a bead thing
One mythology I’d really like to see is Mayan instead. I really don’t know a ton about their pantheon of gods but I know that they exist. Mostly think the jungle setting and their cities would be really cool. Plus people are sleeping on the Mayans and forget about them. Japanese is cool too but we see it so god dang often
If not egypt they would probs do japanese. Its popular and would be different from the other games. If not that then Mayan/Aztec would be cool. Celtic I feel is to similiar to norse and theres not much known about it
ngl I really want them to visit Hinduism since its extremely vast with several gods, but yea if literal scaling is taken into account Kratos might become irreverent quickly
I like the idea of the next god of war being about Roman pantheon invading the north timeline wise it also makes sense as Rome would have already conquered Egypt
funnily enough I've also had an idea of an Roman (and even Christian?) pantheon entry first happen with the Roman pantheon invading Egypt in a cliff hanger scene
So does that mean Atreus and Angrboda will be finding the remaining Jotuns in Egypt and then they encounter gods and beasts from there while Kratos and Freya are trying to unite the 9 Realms?
What if they switch it up and make two Gods the ruler of Egypt so you would have to fight two All Father Gods and rulers of a realm? Making the game challenging and the game vastly different in how they tell that story!
Phobos the God of Fear is the twin brother of Deimos and they are the sons of Ares and Aphrodite in actual Greek mythology Deimos is the God of Dread and Terror
What if Santa Monica turn things around? Like Horus would be the villain and Sett would be some sort of an ally? They did that in Ragnarok, so maybe they'll do it again??
I think atreus would fit nicely in a game involving egypt due to him having annaffinity for languages and his ability to shapeshift wich would make some cool plot points
If Kratos really does go to Egypt, I feel like a fight with Sobek is pretty much inevitable like you said since the writers will definitely have him bring up the fact that Kratos killed his kin and he wants vengeance. Ammit is most likely going to happen to and that will be the big fight similar to Hraezlyr and Kronos.
I hope we get Tyr as a travel companion he can be Kratos tour guide as he’s been to Egypt before and who knows maybe he’s on good terms with some of the gods there probably Anubis since he stated that he had to go to the Egyptian underworld to regrow his arm. Tyr and Kratos can be diplomats to the Norse lands
@@garrettjackson1451 Hopefully yeah. I can tell you right now Anubis will definitely have no quarrel with Kratos whatsoever, especially after hearing that he’s allied with Týr. The whole “Any friend of his is a friend of mine.” type of deal.
@@cwolffe510 plus in actual mythology Anubis is a really chill dude much like Kratos he’s a calm and reasonable person but I think the Egyptian gods would mistrust Kratos at first due to murdering the Greek pantheon since the last time Kratos went to Egypt everyone knew who he was but when he showcases he’s not here to bring them harm they will change their minds
@@garrettjackson1451 Yeah I can see that especially with Horus. I can imagine Set is gonna try some crap and Kratos will agree to help Anubis and the other gods stop Set and in return they help him find whatever he came to Egypt for.
I would prefer to see Bastet/Bast as Kratos's traveling companion and secondary lead heroine and given how Sobek is usually seen as a more violent antagonistic deity in Egyptian mythology I can easily see the pre-fight dialogue being this: Sobek: "So we finally meet Kratos now I will have vengeance for my kin so arm yourself and prepare to fight murderer." Bastet: "What are you talking about Sobek? This man is a gentle soul who is helping me protect the innocent from a great threat. If you have quarrel with him over a past crime against your kin then please forgive him as now is not the time to let hatred and vengeance cloud your judgement concerning our current predicament." Sobek arrogantly laughs: "Why am I not surprised that Ra's little pet cat is letting the plight of the so-called innocent is making her blind and naive to the fact the man she travels with and claims is a gentle soul is a murderer who slaughtered my kin in cold-blood. And besides this doesn't concern you cat so step aside and let me take my vengeance or you will join this murderer in death." Kratos: "Leave her out of this I'm the one you want as yes I did kill your kin but your kin attacked me I was only defending myself but that was in the past we must focus on the present situation which is the threat your land is facing so I ask you please step aside so me and Bastet can stop this threat." Sobek: "LIAR! I will not step aside as I will avenge my kin that you slaughtered in cold-blood so I demand Kratos that you draw weapon and fight but know this the river will run red with your blood as my kin are finally avenged. And as for you cat this is your last warning step aside or you will join this murderer in death." Bastet: "Damn it. I was hoping to avoid a fight but it looks like it can't be avoided" unsheathes her claws and knives/daggers "hope you can forgive us Sobek but you leave us no choice if you won't peacefully let us pass then we will have to use force to make you." Kratos draws his weapon: "I was also hoping to avoid this outcome but you have left us no other option if combat is the only way to get you to let us pass then so be it. I am sorry for slaying your kin just as I am now sorry for what is about to happen but know this like your kin you chose this fight so your blood spilt in this river is on your hands not ours as we gave you opportunity to let us pass in peace but you let hatred and vengeance blind you so when our blades are at your throat just remember you chose this not us." Sobek draws his weapon and calls upon the Nile to encircle Kratos and Bastet: "The only blood spilt into my river will be yours and the blood of the naive cat murderer" summons numerous crocodiles "come brothers and sisters watch as this day the murderer from a foreign land who slaughtered our kin, and the foolish cat he travels with will pay for their crimes against us with their lives as their blood spills into this sacred river as our kin's vengeance will be satisfied with their blood and their lives!"
Personally Im really conflicted on seeing Kratos visit Egypt, sure it’d be really awesome but typically GOW’s point is to invert history and make the good guys villains and the villains good guys. Like Odin and Loki trading places from a morality perspective. Why this bothers me is apparently most of the Egyptian gods are pretty chill and it’d kinda suck to see them vilified. Anubis for example is commonly made a villain in media anyways even though he’s extremely good natured, so either GOW would have to play it straight and accurate or invert and undermine the actual lore.
I’m guessing that the timeline of the next game will be between GOW 3 and 4. It will give the developers more freedom in storytelling and game mechanics. No weapons, abilities or compagnons from the previous games, character building and a new look for Kratos.
You forgot that Kratos is a Greek god which means that he gets stronger every year infinitely, the sixth game could happen decades later so they wouldn't be much trouble especially since when he was young and fairly weak (compared to him now) he still took out an entire pantheon of gods thousands of years older than him.
hello captain! I wanted to ask you if in your opinion there is a space in a hypothetical god of war set in Egypt for the character of Artemis, who as you well know was rejected in Ascension, I would see her very well being in part lioness.😊
Hey nice dude. I was just saying the same shit but never would I have expected other people to be talking about the Mayans too. I think Mayans would make an even cooler and more unique setting than Egypt and I know Mayans have a full pantheon of gods even if I don’t know loads about them. The Mayan setting would be sick with all the jungle and huge Mayan cities
I also wonder how Kratos will act in the next game, if there is ever another with Kratos in it. The last game ended with him being the champion of the people and setting out to fix the things Ragnarok damaged or messed up. Wonder if he'll want to help more or be the same
I think they'll run into Apophis one of the major boss. First in the shape of a man, then in the shape of a giant cobra. I think though they'll also run into Thoth (god of wisdom and creator of the Ancient Egyptian language). He won't be a threat, I think he'll be a guide or mission giver. And we also know he's associated with Athena.
Egypt theme is more interesting. I mean. Like Kratos recover osiris with collect all osiris body. Find book of death. Find book of knowledge. Find 5 aspect of life. Spnix puzzle. Help ra on sun boat through 12 house. Free shekmet from Hathor form. So much fun.
Honestly I would love to see Kratos go toe to toe with sekhmet. Given that she two is a violent deity with a serious temper that brought absolute destruction to the world.

I’m commenting all the Major Gods that could be cool in the Egyptian God of War game (that you didn’t mention): Anhur: one of the many gods of war with the ability to transform his weapon into different weapons and to command animals, Maahes: all around badass Lion warrior god with the power to control the weather and knives (imagine him creating blades from thin air or making it rain blades think HELA or Loki from the MCU), Montu : God of war was a skilled archer with sight of a falcon, Ptah: God of Craftsman (could be the Brok and Sindri of this game), Bastet cat goddess, Hathor: goddess of women and the sky (Had the power to manipulate any man or woman or beast), Shu: god who had super human abilities speed/strength/agility, Thoth his mind was his weapon, Imentet: goddess associated with the underworld and had power over fire (held mighty power enough to destroy other gods), Menhit: Warrior goddess depicted as a lioness who was extremely fast and could strike hard, Neith: a goddess sometimes associated with war being depicted as a fierce warrior with many arrows and also associated with the creation of Egyptian warriors weapons, *Nekhbet: a goddess depicted as a vulture had the power of transformation often into a mighty griffin to protect the living, *Geb: god of the earth with powers of earthquakes and manipulation of the the earth, *Nepthtys: GODDESS OF DEATH DARKNESS AND DECAY also was a god of magical spells (SOUNDS DOPE TO ME!), Sekhmet was a lioness goddess who was destructive and violent often said to protect the pharaohs when leading into war, *WADJET: a Cobra goddess said to have powers including poison and control over fire, Wosret: Not much is known of her though her name means “The Powerful”,
Just something I want to put out there for Set he was god of war , chaos , lord of the red desert and god of foreigners so what if Kratos is Set in Egyptians mythology that would be something considering the color Red was strongly associated with both of them. Also Set was know has a hero before being portrayed has a villain so there is a lot of materiel if they go that way for a trilogy .
I hope that at some point kratos will be able to have a dream or vision of lysandra and calliope to find peace within himself i think that maybe if through the egyptian underworld perhaps he could even see them again
well Atreus a shapeshifting trickseter god Like Seth..they called seth god of foreigners too and he could change his form to animals that are not in egypt at all.. I THINK ATREUS CAN BE SETH that explains why he was so violent After all he is son of Kratos.. and if Kratos lose Atreus I Want to see what happens to him We will see that destroyer again?? or he is tired of fight?? even for Atreus's revange...
The only thing I worry about an Egyptian setting is the lack of diverse settings? I’m not knowledgeable enough about the country but would we only be visiting desserts, pyramids and an occasional oasis? Norse saga had the benefit of the 9 realms which effectively acted as different settings to offer diversity to the world and our journey.
While talking about new gods from new lands that Kratos and the heroes could befriend or face off against, in my opinion, something else that's very interesting is considering what characters could become the new protagonists if or when the original characters' stories and journeys are completed. Something almost like an in-universe reboot or spinoff.
The developers say at the end of ragnorok, when you find real tyr, his movements are a clue. He’s seen doing what’s clearly tai chi and meditating. My money is that the next game is somewhere in Asia… 🤷♂️ guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
I'm surprised u didn't mention Anhur bc he's another of God of War and Menhit is his wife plus Ares is his greek counterpart so I feel Kratos and Anhur encountering each is likely(If Kratos goes to Egypt).
Here’s some different factions of groups they could incorporate into the Egyptian God of War game (whether that be for missions, collectors achievements, or other achievements like the Valkyrie, puzzles, etc): •The Aai: Consists of 3 guardian deities in one of the divisions of Tuat aka the underworld. •Cavern Deities: Consists of the deities tasked with punishing the damned in the underworld usually by beheading and/or devouring them. •The Ennead: is the extended family of deities produced by Atum during the creation of the world (consists of Atum, Shu, Tefnut, Geb, Nut, Osiris, Isis, Set, Nephthys) •The four sons of Horus the four gods who protected mummified bodies and canopic jars. •The Gate Deities: Many deities guard many gates of the underworld…spells and knowing their names are part of passing through. •The Hours of the day deities: powerful deities represented by every hour of the day. •Hours of the night deities (same but for night).
Each mythology might grow closer to understanding this “higher existence” that Athena was talking about, Egyptian mythology is older than both Norse and Greek so it could be
You should do this same video with all the other possible pantheons as well i really want kratos in Japan or something wild but I think that’s because I wasn’t a fan of assassins creed Egypt
I think the final GOW game should be with god, as in god, god. That’d be a cool way to tie everything together if they were the one manipulating everything from the shadows.
@@gameofender4463God isn't evil and wouldn't be defeated by Kratos or anything along God being below Kratos if anything Kratos would give his life to God (meaning he turns to God and stops sinning etc)
@@kayvisioned Hahahaha. What a load of rubbish. God is a vicious, bullying tyrant. Kratos is a far superior, moral god than god. Matter of fact most humans are too. God should kneel to us not the other way around.
My issue is I don’t love his combat. It feels exceedingly goofy to me that instead of a proper melee attack he hits people with his bow. If it did focus on him I hope he picks up more weapons. I’m not exactly sure what an Egyptian type weapon for him to gain would be but there’s at least options
A cool theory is that Atreus searching giants in Egypt may lead to the creation of the gods by putting the souls into the animals they can morf like Jörmungandr since most gods are therianthrophic
I think Santa Monica knows that we want Egypt and I think they also know that the majority of people wouldn't care as much about an atreus game. For this reason I think they'll use Egypt as a reason for people to be interested in an atreus game unfortunately. That and atreus being an animal shape shifter going to a land of animal gods I guess just makes sense as much as I'd rather it be kratos
Set is also god of the desert and foreigners, this is part of why he was considered evil, Egypt was partially conquered by the Hyksos in the 16th Century BCE and as foreigners they took Set as a patron deity. This also meant when they were defeated Set came to be associated with chaos and evil. One being who would be on this list if he was actually considered a deity is Apep the embodiment of Chaos and Darkness, coincidentally this is who Set has to fight every night so that he didn't kill and eat Ra.
I can see it going two ways. The first and most straight forward way is that the Egyptians go on the offensive. Kratos has now killed off two pantheons, he's personally slighted Sobek himself, so he's a threat. Whether its of their own free will or related to the alluded "higher plane" stuff related to Athena and Odin's research that they manipulate or request it is up in the air. The second, and a bit more complex option (plus honestly, better) would be internal politics of the Egyptians and how they want to deal with him. If Amun/Ra/Amun-Ra remains a benevolent deity, he could be coming in peace, its better to appease or negotiate with Kratos than risk his own kingdom of gods fighting him. Kratos in his efforts to turn over a new leaf as of the end of Ragnarok, would likely accept this, it certainly would be a nice change of pace to have a fellow king be down for peace, and prove Tyr had a point about coexistence. Then it can go two different ways. 1) Set, acts against these interests and instead starts a war. He may even kill Amun/Ra/Amun-Ra. He could have two motivations, the simpler he's making a power grab or the more complex he truly is trying to redeem himself as Amun/Ra/Amun-Ra's protector after all this time and he refuses to have him appease or negotiate with Kratos. 2) Still someone starts a war/civil war amongst the Egyptian gods, but its not Set. Whether he's set up as a fall guy (given his reputation, they could, like the video said, Set was only really tolerated after his power grab because he was too useful as muscle to protect Ra from an even worse threat than he ever was) is debatable. It could be Sobek because of his need for revenge or throw a big curve ball of Osiris or even Horus making a power grab over their father/grandfather because they find his rule lacking for x, y and z.
Just watched gow3 cutscenes and heard pandora say the gods called her a monster. Do you think that pandora is part of Kratos and when Heimdall says, “monster” signifies this? I remember them also saying pandora was neither life or death something that Kratos might be since he can’t die right? Idk some random crap I thought of
I have two theories. 1: Seth is non other than Atreus/Loky. They are both gods who's power's are intrinsically linked to animals. More over, Orus is likely to be one of the mane antagonists in a "god of war" game witch would tie nicely to his rivalry with Seth. When you think about it, Seth is basically Egyptian Loki; an antagonistic god who uses trickery and cunning to get their way. 2: Atum is one of the Demiurges. Perhaps even Monad itself. In Egyptians myths, Atum is the primordial god from witch all others originates. A stark similarity with what Odin has seen within the breach. The fused names could even suggest that Ra is gonna end up stealing Atum's powers (or at least part of it) to become Atum Ra, the final antagonist of the Egyptian "god of war" games.
I think any gods of wisdon/knowledge should be approached with caution due to kratos/atreus's past interactions. The main god that rules the pantheon might not be as manipulative or scheming.
Here’s the Minor Gods that could be cool in the next Egyptian installment of the God of War games: Apophis: God of Chaos and thee most evil of the Egyptian gods who had an army of demons, Am-Hem: fierce dog headed diety who described as the dweller of the lake of fire in the underworld and as the devourer of millions, Apep: A serpent diety who was the personification of Chaos was said to battle Ra every night in the underworld, Apis: Bull diety said to have the power to give one power over the four winds of the afterlife (whatever that means), Asclepius: Was a Greek god that was worshipped in Egypt god of Surgery and medicine (perhaps could connect to Kratos’ past some how), Baal: Storm god, Ba-Pef: little is known about this underworld diety with the head of a ram, Deneen: Dragon god, Gengen Wer: a celestial goose god who protected the egg containing the life force (could be a wacky weird addition to the game), Harmachis: Sphinx god Heka: Diety that was the personification of magic itself. Hu: god and personification of the spoken word (could be cool fight where he is like Syndel from mortal Kombat using his voice as a weapon), Petbe: God of revenge (could be an interesting story/plot device), Sepes: god who lived among the trees (maybe a poison Ivy from DC comics inspired character) Sepa: a Centipede god would be a crazy looking character and fight all those legs eeek, Setcheh: A serpent demon, Shezmu: god of oil and wine also slaughters condemned souls, Uneg/Weneg: a plant god (another character that could be like Poison Ivy from DC), Anti: Malevolent Hippo goddess, Anuke: war goddess Besna: Goddess of home security (could be someone you fight if you sound off an alarm sneaking into a building), Hedetet: Scorpion goddess, heater: Knife wielding warrior goddess, Hert-Nemmat-Set: goddess who punishes the damned in the underworld, *MAFDET: A PREDATORY GODDESS WHO DESTROYED DANGEROUS CREATURES, Netrit-Then: Axe wielding god, Hetemit: Goddess of destruction,
Honestly it would be a huge game.. bc you’d have to introduce Atreus in the Egyptian pantheon at the start n bring kratos back to egypt bc he was already there in the comic.. it be a good way to explore both stories in different views
i remeber for my feeling it felt so long before they released gow ragnarok and now im allready seeing some new content for the other possible game insane how fast time goes
I just cant imagine playing god of war without mimir on my back anymore and atreus or freya next to me i hope the plote developes into the direction that atreus finds out about kratos past in egypt and saves some more giants and gets kidnapped so kratos comes to his aid
I’d be most afraid Anmett. Especially if she’s able to do what she did in moon night when she devoured souls. Insert the most famous meam and quote from powers except anmett does it on her own with out assistance of another magic slash supernatural life form.
5:45 yeah…. Except Hippos. A full grown male hippo swims comfortably through a group of Nile crocodiles. Said group will most likely disperse when they see him coming. Boss moves.
Alright, im gonna be the guy that pisses everybody off. I think its more likely we wont be playing kratos in the next game. First, kratos has no reason to venture to other lands, he left greece to flee the destruction he caused and the reminders of his past, now in Scandinavia he has embraced his life there and seeks to rebuild the realms with mimir and freya, so unless this were a prequel series he would have no reason to ever venture to egypt. He would likely wish to stay in a land that harbors happy memories, as happiness is kinda rare for him. Two, atreus is currently on a journy to distant lands searching for the souls of the jotunn as they apparently left the realms to escape odin and may have ventured to other lands to hide. Three, unless we were playing as someone like atreus the plot might not have as much suspense or drama as we all know kratos would be able to tear everyone to pieces.
Not me, and I agree with what you said, like kratos destroy 2 pantheon of gods and I guess it's more then enough too for him, he enjoy his life on Scandinavia, got cool weapons, very good close friends, that can call brothers abd sisters, abd I bet Freya x Kratos will happen
I think Atreus should go to the Mayan/Aztec pantheon. It’s a mythology historians don’t know a lot about like Norse. Quetzalcoatl is also believed by some historians to have been a Viking sailor so it could be made that Atreus is Quetzalcoatl in the god of war universe
I think Ra would be the more likely choice, as Ra is the more commonly known Egyptian God. Plus you would then get into Apep who would be known to Kratos by the Greek name Apophis.
Now, please, this video for other most known pantheons. Its a very interesting topic and you can be sure that they'll bring you much views, likes and comments. Interaction will be through the roof my friend.
Compared to the Greek & Norse, the Egyptian gods are very different & unique. All myths have similarities but the Egyptian gods with their animal forms, rebirths, hierarchy prove to be much different. There's a good chance the magic system might come back too.
Maybe Kratos battles the Egyptian gods and Atreus the Japanese gods.
@@gameofender4463 Interesting. If the next game is a solo Atreus one then I really do think him dealing with the lesser pantheons is a great idea.
Good take if Sekthmet on Hathor form. So there is reason to explore map to unlock shekmet
And even Ra himself couldn't stop her through force.
Spartan rage is now available
@@rileyowen7245 lmao literally all It would take too. 🤣 just like all the other gods fell to it.
why is she a female and not a male? looks like feminism existed in ancient times too no wonder why they worshipped imaginary beings
Agree. I hope they make Kratos death. So anubis will act like athena. And help him recover osiris body and Overthrow seth
@@danurkresnamurti3598oooo that would be interesting - to have Kratos aid the good gods in defeating the bad gods.
yeah it really makes sense for him to just be neutral
One potentially interesting idea is Kratos being in Egypt during its invasion by the Roman Empire, which would include the two pantheons warring against one another with Kratos stuck in the crossfire.
I also think it would be a fun idea to have the voice actors for the Greek gods come back to voice their Roman counterparts. Maybe even have Athena be the reason the Roman pantheon exists in this universe.
Super cool idea!
Cool ash idea. Maybe they could let T.C Carson be Mars or Jupiter? Idk but it's a great concept.
So the franchise turn into that shit now? Jump into a mythology, kill almost every god there with a weak motivation and jump to another? Laaaaame!
@@mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm3153 what? Dude, the hell do you mean "now?" Weak motivation? Dude, have you even played the games?
" Pretty much all Egyptian gods are related to war one way or another."
The same could be said for the Nordic pantheon.
Hope he sees his brother and other dead friends we’ve met along the way, wouldn’t mind the boat captain either😂
But Egypt dont have propecy thing or catalyst. IMO Kratos in duad is for Ra or meet Osiris
More like 10 Egyptian Gods who should fear Kratos…
Only because they will be heavily NERF no way kratos will stands against them
Maybe in the GoW verse
the OG Greeks Norse Egyptian and Hindu Panteons are much stronger than all the gods we have seen in the GoW games if you actually know their feats
for example in the greek myths Hera created the milky way galaxy with milk from her breast
Zeus once moved the entire world with no effort
a different occasion he challenged all the other Olympians to pull and indestructible rope against him and humiliated them and claimed that all of them combined were weaker than him and he could prove it he said "they were closer to being humans than they were to being like him" and none of them picked up the damm rope
and similar things go for the other mythology
@@Force-Multiplier I mean obviously. For the sake of these stories they have to do that. I'm sure the devs know that too.
@@kirayoshikage9218no they won’t. The gods are always stronger in god of way if you know the lore. Such as Helios being far below Zeus

Egypt has a plethora of gods to choose from, a game in this setting has a lot of potential
Mannnn, i want a very old school, bloody game if they ever (or whenever rather) drop this !
I'd like to think that Egypt would be a prequel to Norse, so we will see the old style Kratos
imagine Kratos going to Egypt in search of his son, and he fights many gods and enemies, and he meets Anubis and fights him only to discover that its actually Atreus
Or he tries to make peace with them but they don't want peace
Weird...
Yea no
Why would you want a Norse kid to suddenly be a Egyptian God??? That's so weird!!! Plus it take away Anubis being his own character!!!
@@_Nonnez_ yeah but the same thing happened to Atreus, he is part Norse part Greek and that also took away Loki being his own character, which is not a bead thing
Aside from gods, I’m curious about which mythologies they’ll go to if it’s not Egypt. Top 10 potential mythologies for future games maybe👀
Cory already said Egypt is next. We can also assume Celtic is next and Japanese
@@josuemelena1478source?
Hey kaptain kuba I'm a big fan of your channel always watch God of war content about theories
A Ra and Amun doing the fusion dance 😂
If Deimos were ever to return. This mythology is where he should appear.
@Kaptain Kuba the problem is that Kratos has only one fear he didn't want to lose atreus. If something happens to atreus then Egyptian gods are done
1:34 YES please
And your video give me a great hope for the next game
Egyptian mythology is one of my favorites, and Kratos would have alot of problems with this pantheon, especially Ra.
amun,ra,khnum, atum.khepri are same god with different role, depiction, name and powers but yeah we mostly call him amun-ra.
I think atreus would fit nicely in a game involving egypt due to him having annaffinity for languages and his ability to shapeshift wich would make some cool plot points
Also Egypt have Ba concept.
I would prefer to see Bastet/Bast as Kratos's traveling companion and secondary lead heroine and given how Sobek is usually seen as a more violent antagonistic deity in Egyptian mythology I can easily see the pre-fight dialogue being this:
Sobek: "So we finally meet Kratos now I will have vengeance for my kin so arm yourself and prepare to fight murderer."
Bastet: "What are you talking about Sobek? This man is a gentle soul who is helping me protect the innocent from a great threat. If you have quarrel with him over a past crime against your kin then please forgive him as now is not the time to let hatred and vengeance cloud your judgement concerning our current predicament."
Sobek arrogantly laughs: "Why am I not surprised that Ra's little pet cat is letting the plight of the so-called innocent is making her blind and naive to the fact the man she travels with and claims is a gentle soul is a murderer who slaughtered my kin in cold-blood. And besides this doesn't concern you cat so step aside and let me take my vengeance or you will join this murderer in death."
Kratos: "Leave her out of this I'm the one you want as yes I did kill your kin but your kin attacked me I was only defending myself but that was in the past we must focus on the present situation which is the threat your land is facing so I ask you please step aside so me and Bastet can stop this threat."
Sobek: "LIAR! I will not step aside as I will avenge my kin that you slaughtered in cold-blood so I demand Kratos that you draw weapon and fight but know this the river will run red with your blood as my kin are finally avenged. And as for you cat this is your last warning step aside or you will join this murderer in death."
Bastet: "Damn it. I was hoping to avoid a fight but it looks like it can't be avoided" unsheathes her claws and knives/daggers "hope you can forgive us Sobek but you leave us no choice if you won't peacefully let us pass then we will have to use force to make you."
Kratos draws his weapon: "I was also hoping to avoid this outcome but you have left us no other option if combat is the only way to get you to let us pass then so be it. I am sorry for slaying your kin just as I am now sorry for what is about to happen but know this like your kin you chose this fight so your blood spilt in this river is on your hands not ours as we gave you opportunity to let us pass in peace but you let hatred and vengeance blind you so when our blades are at your throat just remember you chose this not us."
Sobek draws his weapon and calls upon the Nile to encircle Kratos and Bastet: "The only blood spilt into my river will be yours and the blood of the naive cat murderer" summons numerous crocodiles "come brothers and sisters watch as this day the murderer from a foreign land who slaughtered our kin, and the foolish cat he travels with will pay for their crimes against us with their lives as their blood spills into this sacred river as our kin's vengeance will be satisfied with their blood and their lives!"
Imagine kratos fighting the seven sins or meeting Jesus before he was nailed to the cross

A video on the mayan gods would be cool af
And we also know he's associated with Athena.
that sounds so badass!!
Apophis would be crazy
Egypt theme is more interesting. I mean.

Reminds me of what roschach once said “I’m not stuck in here with you, you’re all stuck in here with me”
I’m commenting all the Major Gods that could be cool in the Egyptian God of War game (that you didn’t mention):
Anhur: one of the many gods of war with the ability to transform his weapon into different weapons and to command animals,
Maahes: all around badass Lion warrior god with the power to control the weather and knives (imagine him creating blades from thin air or making it rain blades think HELA or Loki from the MCU),
Montu : God of war was a skilled archer with sight of a falcon,
Ptah: God of Craftsman (could be the Brok and Sindri of this game),
Bastet cat goddess,
Hathor: goddess of women and the sky (Had the power to manipulate any man or woman or beast),
Shu: god who had super human abilities speed/strength/agility, Thoth his mind was his weapon,
Imentet: goddess associated with the underworld and had power over fire (held mighty power enough to destroy other gods),
Menhit: Warrior goddess depicted as a lioness who was extremely fast and could strike hard,
Neith: a goddess sometimes associated with war being depicted as a fierce warrior with many arrows and also associated with the creation of Egyptian warriors weapons,
*Nekhbet: a goddess depicted as a vulture had the power of transformation often into a mighty griffin to protect the living,
*Geb: god of the earth with powers of earthquakes and manipulation of the the earth,
*Nepthtys: GODDESS OF DEATH DARKNESS AND DECAY also was a god of magical spells (SOUNDS DOPE TO ME!), Sekhmet was a lioness goddess who was destructive and violent often said to protect the pharaohs when leading into war,
*WADJET: a Cobra goddess said to have powers including poison and control over fire,
Wosret: Not much is known of her though her name means “The Powerful”,
Just something I want to put out there for Set he was god of war , chaos , lord of the red desert and god of foreigners so what if Kratos is Set in Egyptians mythology that would be something considering the color Red was strongly associated with both of them.
If Kratos is the one to go to Egypt, which deities might see him as an ally and grant his access to their powers?
well Atreus a shapeshifting trickseter god
Like Seth..they called seth god of foreigners too
and he could change his form
to animals that are not in egypt at all..
I THINK ATREUS CAN BE SETH
that explains why he was so violent
After all he is son of Kratos..
and if Kratos lose Atreus
I Want to see what happens to him
We will see that destroyer again??
or he is tired of fight??
even for Atreus's revange...
Im pretty sure that the game developers will find a way to make him stronger than the 10 gods
I wonder if the next installment will be called God of Mischief...
Anubis could be a birth that seems like a combination of hel and fenrir...
You forgot the one time set pluc out horus eye
While talking about new gods from new lands that Kratos and the heroes could befriend or face off against, in my opinion, something else that's very interesting is considering what characters could become the new protagonists if or when the original characters' stories and journeys are completed. Something almost like an in-universe reboot or spinoff.
i hope if kratos meets menhit and tyr(again) they talk about ares
The developers say at the end of ragnorok, when you find real tyr, his movements are a clue.
He’s seen doing what’s clearly tai chi and meditating.
My money is that the next game is somewhere in Asia… 🤷♂️ guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
I'm surprised u didn't mention Anhur bc he's another of God of War and Menhit is his wife plus Ares is his greek counterpart so I feel Kratos and Anhur encountering each is likely(If Kratos goes to Egypt).
Hell yeah! waited for this video a long time

I really wish the next god of war game will be in japanese mythology
I’d love to see kratos either team up with and fight konshu
Here’s some different factions of groups they could incorporate into the Egyptian God of War game (whether that be for missions, collectors achievements, or other achievements like the Valkyrie, puzzles, etc):
•The Aai: Consists of 3 guardian deities in one of the divisions of Tuat aka the underworld.
•Cavern Deities: Consists of the deities tasked with punishing the damned in the underworld usually by beheading and/or devouring them.
•The Ennead: is the extended family of deities produced by Atum during the creation of the world (consists of Atum, Shu, Tefnut, Geb, Nut, Osiris, Isis, Set, Nephthys)
•The four sons of Horus the four gods who protected mummified bodies and canopic jars.
•The Gate Deities: Many deities guard many gates of the underworld…spells and knowing their names are part of passing through.
•The Hours of the day deities: powerful deities represented by every hour of the day.
•Hours of the night deities (same but for night).

My issue is I don’t love his combat. It feels exceedingly goofy to me that instead of a proper melee attack he hits people with his bow. If it did focus on him I hope he picks up more weapons. I’m not exactly sure what an Egyptian type weapon for him to gain would be but there’s at least options
"go to town with the cat claws" Kuba AYOOOOO
Besides egyptian mythology i would like to see maybe celtic or perhaps chinese mythology i think those could be very interesting
Set vs Kratos would be fun.
Ngl Kratos couldn’t kill Egyptian gods because a lot of the gods have died and then just kinda came back because they where gods
I'm just on a saga of watching kaps videos all over again
Can you please make a top 10 Egyptian God allies??? Because I think Thoth would be a amazing potential ally for Kratos and/or Atreus!!!
Just watched gow3 cutscenes and heard pandora say the gods called her a monster. Do you think that pandora is part of Kratos and when Heimdall says, “monster” signifies this? I remember them also saying pandora was neither life or death something that Kratos might be since he can’t die right? Idk some random crap I thought of
You should do a series of these.
Hey those are pretty cool
I think any gods of wisdon/knowledge should be approached with caution due to kratos/atreus's past interactions. The main god that rules the pantheon might not be as manipulative or scheming.
I wondered if Heimdall is scared of these gods so much fear he feels is put into him he would back the hell off? 😅
1:55 Sisters of fate: am I a joke to you?
Here’s the Minor Gods that could be cool in the next Egyptian installment of the God of War games:
Apophis: God of Chaos and thee most evil of the Egyptian gods who had an army of demons,
Am-Hem: fierce dog headed diety who described as the dweller of the lake of fire in the underworld and as the devourer of millions,
Apep: A serpent diety who was the personification of Chaos was said to battle Ra every night in the underworld,
Apis: Bull diety said to have the power to give one power over the four winds of the afterlife (whatever that means),
Asclepius: Was a Greek god that was worshipped in Egypt god of Surgery and medicine (perhaps could connect to Kratos’ past some how),
Baal: Storm god,
Ba-Pef: little is known about this underworld diety with the head of a ram,
Deneen: Dragon god,
Gengen Wer: a celestial goose god who protected the egg containing the life force (could be a wacky weird addition to the game),
Harmachis: Sphinx god
Heka: Diety that was the personification of magic itself.
Hu: god and personification of the spoken word (could be cool fight where he is like Syndel from mortal Kombat using his voice as a weapon),
Petbe: God of revenge (could be an interesting story/plot device),
Sepes: god who lived among the trees (maybe a poison Ivy from DC comics inspired character)
Sepa: a Centipede god would be a crazy looking character and fight all those legs eeek,
Setcheh: A serpent demon,
Shezmu: god of oil and wine also slaughters condemned souls,
Uneg/Weneg: a plant god (another character that could be like Poison Ivy from DC),
Anti: Malevolent Hippo goddess,
Anuke: war goddess
Besna: Goddess of home security (could be someone you fight if you sound off an alarm sneaking into a building),
Hedetet: Scorpion goddess,
heater: Knife wielding warrior goddess,
Hert-Nemmat-Set: goddess who punishes the damned in the underworld,
*MAFDET: A PREDATORY GODDESS WHO DESTROYED DANGEROUS CREATURES,
Netrit-Then: Axe wielding god,
Hetemit: Goddess of destruction,
Honestly it would be a huge game.. bc you’d have to introduce Atreus in the Egyptian pantheon at the start n bring kratos back to egypt bc he was already there in the comic.. it be a good way to explore both stories in different views
God of War 6: Kratos goes against a bunch of furries
i remeber for my feeling it felt so long before they released gow ragnarok and now im allready seeing some new content for the other possible game insane how fast time goes
I am wondering what Thot role will be for the next games...
Will he be friend or foe?
I think Ra would be the more likely choice, as Ra is the more commonly known Egyptian God. Plus you would then get into Apep who would be known to Kratos by the Greek name Apophis.
would love to watch the cook book video lol
Now, please, this video for other most known pantheons. Its a very interesting topic and you can be sure that they'll bring you much views, likes and comments. Interaction will be through the roof my friend.
