How are you? 🌿In today's video, I explore some ideas from Francine Jay's book "Joy of Less". Is there a book you would like me to read and make a video about? 📚 Wishing you moments of calm and joy for today! 💫
I would love to learn more. Sometimes when I read these books it overwhelms me. I don’t want to go through the whole house. We did 2 years ago when we moved. Some things I thought I would keep ended up not working and I live differently than I imagined so I needed to buy some things too. I agree it’s a balance. I don’t mind taking care of inherited furniture. I think about the person who wanted us to have it and the good memories. It’s a comfort not a distress.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely understand how overwhelming it can feel to tackle a whole house at once, especially after just having moved recently. We experienced the same thing that some things we thought we'd keep ended up not fitting the way we imagined.❤
100% agree with all these points, and thrilled that you shared them in such a peaceful way with Koru. Having transitioned my life from the known to the unknown, I had to identify and grieve the fantasy self items I owned and the toxic thoughts they were burdening me with. Now that they are gone, my life still has many unknowns, but my home is a safe haven of peace, joy, and room to cultivate growth opportunities. 😊❤
Thank you for sharing these experiences and books and advice. You've pointed out that there's always a balance, an optimum amount of stuff that we find makes our lives comfortable if not beautiful and too much that just leads to more stress. We're all different and need to find our balance. It's a bit challenging when the people we share our homes and lives with have a completely different amount of stuff that they find necessary! It would be interesting to hear more about streamlining, especially in the context of multiple people and different levels of "stuff requirements!"
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! ❤️ I agree, it can definitely be challenging when living with others who have different ideas about how much stuff is necessary.
I very much like your vids. I'm listening to "The Joy of Less" for the second time on Audible, cause I saw you made a vid about it. This book gives me so much mental clarity and pleasure! There are numerous books on decluttering and self-care you could do vids about. I like the soft music you play and love your cat. My sweet Kitty is 13 yrs old and all this building a happy organized home has always been for her in a way. She's just so perfect I cannot believe she's in my life and loves me. Keep doing a great job of vlogging. So happy I found you, I'll be popping by with book suggestions. Greetings from Poland❤️

Or the guilt we feel when we don’t use the things we have. Guilt of not using, guilt of letting it go. How did we get here…. sigh. 😢
True! 🩷
Would like you to make streamlining videos as long as you include your beautiful cat.
Next Sunday there will be a video of the decluttering method. 😊 And our wonderful cat, Kuro ❤️
