Its not important how many frames per second you use, it is important what you frame! Sometimes it is a lot of fun to look at old black an white fotos.
How time flies... This was a nice vlog. I like the way you presented the story, and there whole through-line with the GoPro and then revisiting old memories. The New Zealand footage was great to see, and the way you cut it together it has this nice nostalgic vibe. Also the theme of new life, It's exciting times ahead!! I agree on your assessment of the GoPro footage, the stabilization in the new ones is pretty incredible. p.s. i think your on screen presence was really good in this video, felt very natural.
You motivated me to dig out my Hero 3 Silver and give it new life. I've started using it for unknown pipe drops (Shady pipe sticking out of the ground) and other areas where I don't want to risk losing my best gear, like old underwater wells and such. Congrats and I hope everything went well with the baby.
Perfect vid perfect tittle. Literally just found my Hero 3+ 3hrs ago, right before I pulled the trigger on an imitation 4K GoPro lol. Still looks good 👍🏼👍🏼
Mate so funny was looking for a video about the gopro3 and clicked yours first Hope you had a ball in our neck of the woods I live and play in New Zealand 🇳🇿 😉
As it so happens, I just upgraded from my gopro hero 3 black to a gopro 11 today, mostly because I bought a Hohem Isteady pro 4 a couple years ago, and the gimble can start and stop recording with a wireless connection on any gopro from hero 4 and newer. The hero 3 fits on it, I guess I could have used the app to control the start/stop. It will be interesting to see the difference in technology from the 3 to the 11.
@@afugezi8114 i just posted a recent ride i had on my channel. Take a look at the quality on my end. Not bad for $30. Maybe you just need to play with settings?
Photographer/videographer here, I still shoot with my Hero 3. Image quality is still awesome at 1080p and have had no issues with image stability. Nice video and comparison here demonstrating how you use it.
Would you say this is good for just having fun creative shots? I'm on a budget and want to bust this out again to record videos of me and my band in the studio. I'm on a budget and just want to have fun getting back into playing with a camera again.
I Got A Hero 3 At A Yard Sale Earley 2023 It Still Shoots Ok Video For 1080p Could Be Alot Worse I Paid 12.00 For It had a sd cardd in it with alot of snorkling videos that i have been putting on my youtube channel
I have no complaints except when shooting a video at night. It's not good I mean it's old and I don't expect much from it, compare to their latest model
Thank you for doing this video: I really appreciate it. I have an old Hero 3+ whose Wi-Fi I reset last week. I don’t want to buy a new camera for my insta account right now for making time lapses of plants
Nothing special man, just 1080P25 on that old one. And I believe it was one the widest setting. I don't use GoPro that much at the moment to be honest, but I would like to get a new one soon.
I didn’t use anything special on it. And there really isn’t any image stabilization on the camera. So yea it’s not great in that sense. The new ones have amazing stabilization though.
I just bought my first GOPRO, the Hero 10. I'm not that impressed. I'm trying different settings. Maybe something isn't set right. It seems like the images are jumpy and not super clear. I have stabilization on and higher resolutions. My Samsung S24 Ultra seems to be nice and not have issues. Its sad if an expense camera that is dedicated to only being a camera doesn't look that great. I can't even find any impressive Hero 10 sample videos. lots of how to videos, but why arent there as many action videos like there were before from gopro?
this looks 4k but this camera doesn't offer more than 15fps in that resolution. Looking at other videos this one looks from another camera idk kind of suspicious

Im so happy to hear! Sounds like an interesting idea 👍🏻 definitely good not to use the best gear for it too.
this is dope! found my old hero 3 last night, plan on using it to make fishing videos
The “Golden hour” footage of the conversation about wine and a taxi looked great! I agree though shooting into the sun it struggles. fun video 😁
Thanks 🙏🏻
Still amazing the sounds and the video footage still amazing
I still use my Hero3 for motorcycle videos.
Although I also use a cheaper, modern 4K camera as well, but the 3 is always with me.
Can you tell me what is the name of this cheaper modern 4K camera is?
@@badro7712 this is one of my videos filmed on the cheaper camera.

@@ACE1932DIECAST I loved New Zealand, hope to come back some day!
Just found my dads old Hero3 from 2007, I’m going to ask him if I could have it for hiking and other adventures and maybe start vlogging lol idk
Why not 🙌🏼🙌🏼
why is your video looks so shaky? I watched old videos of a motovlog but their videos look pretty smooth

You will notice a huge difference for sure ☺️
I bought a 3+ for like $30 and i use it while i ride my motorcycle as a dash cam lol does the job
I bought one as well for the same reason but the footage looks terrible. its very fuzzy and low quality.

Yes for sure I think it’s great for your own personal fun projects!
What camera were you using to film the go pro hero 3 with? Is it a newer version from go pro?
It was a sony a7c actually.
Dude, the video looks GOOD. Did you colorize it or anything like that in post?
Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I actually don’t think I did any color work in this one. All straight from camera.

GoPro footage starts at 1:42 to 2:13 and then again from 2:26 to 4:20 and lastly from 4:33 to 5:17

Hey man hope you have a great day. I like playing airsoft and I want to record me playing. What camera should I use? My budget is like 100$ :(
Hey! I’m sure you can get a used and even newer GoPro with that budget, it would be perfect for that😊
search for hero 4
Try eBay. You might can find one for around $40

Cool video 😉 I also have a GoPro Hero 3 😉
half the problem was that original photographers, whoever they were. never a solid shot always panning and shaking.
i bought one just a few minits ago for about 10 dollar😂
Not bad 😂
