Dear everyone on youtube: This is how you do sponsorships. This is how you get people to watch the sponsorship section and not just immediately skip forward.
Doesn't matter what is being sponsored I still skipped over it. Still annoying to have ads purposely placed in the video itself instead of them popping up on random spots in the video which you can skip after 5 seconds. Another sell out but great video anyway.
Note to most people: DO NOT clean an image sensor with a q-tip and alcohol unless you REALLY know what you're doing. For most image sensors you should use a lint-free microfiber flexible swab designed for cleaning image sensors and methanol instead of isopropyl alcohol. Otherwise you run a major risk of permanently damaging the sensor.
@@hsbravati1 I dunno, it sounds like it runs pretty dang good to me, and the little bit we see it looks like it's in good shape. I won't turn down a video of the chrome getting polished/buffed though.
Image quality during the motorcycle ride is very bad. It confused me because I have a 1st gen Gopro and the image is better than that one. That's probably because he removed the coating, for sure. But great restoring nonetheless
obviously correct, but we are all here for the spirit of the game. An old GoPro isn't worth all that patience and expert effort anyway. There are plenty good used ones, but this is a restoration channel. And there is no human way to re-apply a correct factory-grade coating on a lens without proper industrial equipment. So degraded as it is, it works and it looks the part, which in a world of disposable equipment and planned obsolescence is worth commending.
It's so satisfying to watch you take something that many would throw away and bring it back to life. Not only that, but make it look new again. Thank you for your video's. They are both therapeutic and educational.
