Heavy on medium should pen the first and stop on second. Each stage of penetration loses one stage of armor penetration value as well.
Been alternating between the MG and HMG. Pure fun. If you get a team. Also is a good aid to a squad that needs relief from mobs. While everyone is running away you go out front and just mow everything down.

Ikik it sounds cursed airburst but if you’re support from off to the side on bugs holy shit you’re ranged artillery. Bug breach chaff clear ? Airburst Bt comes out ?antitank emplacement Charger? antitank emplacement. Or if there's a bunch together airburst ( I got a 5 chain charger kill with a single airburst that exploded their rear ) Things closing the gap ? Sentry and spray n pray with gas/atuns Shrieker nest? Airburst (yes it works ) Spore spewer? Airburst It’s so fucking good I promise you I’ve been rocking it on bug 10 missions with little to no deaths or frisky fire incidents Trust gang 💪🏾
What they did was make the heavy MG more accurate. When it first came out, it had a lot of dispersion and couldn't be used effectively except at close range - your shots just went all over the place.

Siege ready perk from the Roadblock heavy armor is pretty solid for bots. Been running ballistic shield, crossbow, loyalist, and then either EAT + Commando + Rocket Turret or HMG + Rocket Turret + dealer's choice on red stratagem and it's pretty solid. Having an extra mag + faster reload speed is a godsend for skipping the ammo bag.
im torn between using the Siege passive or something like the Engineer passive for this weapon. On one hand you get really juicy and nice control and on the other your reload speed is so much faster
I know it’s not what this video is about but I think the reprimand needs an ammo buff and small recoil buff. 35-40 rounds a mag and 35 recoil (the only reason I’m talking about it is bc it’s his primary)
@@primary2630 25 rounds is not enough for 2/3 of the factions, it’s only good enough for automatons bc it can one shot all the small ads but that’s not the case for terminids and its too little for the voteless horde

u kinda need to play it with peak physique armor passive otherwise recoil is too much to control and with supply pack as he is playing u dont need the 3rd mag
@@Patrick-rn1po Pretty sure Peak Physique does not affect recoil, it only improves the "handling" of the weapon which is how heavy it feels aiming it around. Fortified armor perk is the one that reduce recoil by 30% when crouching/prone(and 50% explosive resist). It feels much better to use with Peak Physique but its not at all required, if you get into the habit of making any large aim changes by moving your body to mostly line up the target straight in front of you then you obviously do not need to move your aim a lot to hit making Peak Physique much less useful.

Hmg has easily gonee from one of my least faves to one of my most faves. Useful regardless of faction and highly adaptable. It used to be so bad with basically no damage and no ammo. Correct me if I'm wrong on this last one too but I swear I remember it being 1 less armor pen then the modern version but I'm not certain. Point is this thing is great for my run and gunners
It used to have 75 ammo but they buffed it to 100. But at the same time, they increased the deflection and decreased the durable damage. At has aways been AP4. The difference is, they dropped the armor on Chargers, Hulks, and Bile Titans from 5 to 4. So now you can pen them from any angle.
I was so disappointed that the heroes have their skills locked. I know thats how its supposed to be but i struggle mightily with base kits. Still an awesome addition to the game though.
I remember early HMG, no peak physic, less ammo, sad times.

HMG + Ammo TacPack + Thermite handles almost EVERYTHING! Whatever it can't, you have 2 Strat slots for.
the problem with the HMG is there is no over pin on it for smaller targets. It should be killing 3 deep.

Use the armor that gives you more ammo it gives hmg 3 mags

The “siege ready” also improves reload speed actually, but with HMG’s ass handling it is preferable to go with peak physic or 30%recoil reduction
