The update has definitely made this kind of run more interesting and fun. Great to see you engaging enemies instead of just trying to run away as much as possible
Yeah, I'm glad they made the changes. You still have to run sometimes, but not as much as before. Yet somehow, running away the majority of your games, which turns into a running/walking simulator, is way more fun for those that hate the buffs than being able to engage the enemy without being outgunned the majority of the time
oh man this gave me a flashback. Kinda like when dog shit used to turn white after awhile, but they stopped putting bonemeal in dog food? I think when I turned off the auto-mantling it became a forgotten nuisance.
Honestly this is incredible, but at the same time I'm wondering even how. Like throughout the whole mission at level 10 you're rarely ever actually shot at but whenever I play on like level 5, if I so much as breathe too hard I get a rainstorm of red shots and usually leave each mission with like 500+ kills. I don't get it.
That's what I'm thinking it's like the game doesn't even spawn 15 hulks and 40 heavy devastators on him. Hell I fart once and they hear it and call 8 dropships on me
@@LuisRamos84 when i played with all 4 of my teammates and i wearing scout armor it felt like this. enemies really cannot see you and youre right there
The tricks are scout armor, crouch walking or crawling, utilizing cover and stuff like bushes and most importantly not shooting at everything. That's where everybody messes up. I've been thinking about posting my runs with commentary to like teach people how to do this
You should attempt this challenge on a jungle planet next. You have to get much closer to take out certain things and it's more difficult to clear out some objectives.
Nice. What's your favourite bot and bug loadout? Also, what's your favourite loadout if you were to do this again, but you are trying to max out your kills. For bots, you get a lot of gunship fabs and stratagem jammers. For bugs, there's a lot of shrieker and stalker nests.
My favorite loadout for bugs is punisher and grenade launcher. In the case of bots, I'm using a dominator and recoilless rifle. Because these loadouts can handle most situations. If I'm trying to max out kills, I think I'll use the loadouts I mentioned above.
@@Antique-nova I think I'll use it like this. For bugs: Napalm Barrage/500kg Bomb/Gatling Sentry/Grenade Launcher For bots: Eagle Airstrike/Precision Strike/HMG Emplacement/Recoilless Rifle
@@stevecha3792 Why the gatling sentry for bugs? Is it to ward off packs of hunters? I dislike sentries for bugs, especially gatling and machine gun because their rotation speed is so fast and they can easily hit you. Plus, the ammo they have is terrible. For bots, I'm surprised. How would you take out bot command bunkers with that loadout then? Are you relying on recoiless on a specific spot? Or precision? Because I think it takes 2x precision to kill it? I've found the 500kg and precision strike way too unreliable and finnicky to take them out. So it's always been 380mm for me.
@@Antique-nova If sentry is alone in the battle while enemies haven't found you, enemies don't call in reinforcements until you attack. I use sentry when I don't want to fight on the main object. I thought I was okay at the game for doing no death solo. I always thought no damage was impossible against automatons because of how random their aimbot is. From now on, I’ll be using the dome shield before engaging enemies at an objective. Regardless, I think the dome shield needs some love.
In the first attempt, I tried to destroy the tower using Hellbomb, but there were so many patrols around me. So I thought it would be hard to run away if it wasn't now
You can see all the side objectives (Radar Station, SEAF SAM-Site, etc.) on the map even without having discovered them yet, plus might just be checking routes and terrain. HMG Emplacement fucks. Pretty early on, he uses it to clear out a Scorcher Hulk that is around the Detector Tower, as the HMG/E can 2-tap Hulks to their eye or kill them with raw damage into the general "face" area. You should try it out, there's not a Bot that the HMG/E can't kill. For Factory Striders, you have to shoot their little "eye", the red dot on the side of their face.
gotta laugh at calling the hellbomb and then just hitting the tower with an orbital. That's the kind of thing that made me laugh when there was a minor uproar about no hellbomb being available on 10s. Like... you were actually calling the hellbomb?
@@stevecha3792 Fellow Shield Generator Relay enthusiast. 🤝 Wish they'd give it a small buff all in all, but HMG/E+SGR has been one of my favorite combos for months now.
To be fair any difficulty will be easy if you avoid 90% of the enemies and only attack bases from outside their range unless forced to get within throwing distance to clear it out so you’re rarely within 20M of an enemy. Any difficulty will be trivial if you play like this, this has always been the case even before the buff patch. Especially since the difficulty of the game depends almost entirely on the player actually fighting the enemy
Avoiding 95 percent of the enemies and destroying bases far outside their range will literally make any difficulty trivial, even before the patch. Do you people even put any thought into something before speaking about it?
@@oldman6916 don't be condescending maybe you're the one who doesn't use his brain trying to create a fight that surely can't win. I think for the future of the game and I've never ran from enemies unless it was imperative to reposition
