My favourite movie lines for Ron and Minerva are in the same scene. “Why is it, when something happens it is always you three?” “Believe me, Professor, I’ve been asking myself the same question for six years.”
In my opinion, I think Snape’s best movie line was when he said to Harry, “You’ve got your mother’s eyes” before he died. This shows that after all the years he had only seen James in Harry, he finally sees the Lily in him.
Snape had always seen Lily in Harry from the moment he arrived at Hogwarts. he was just never allowed to say so (by Dumbledore but even more so by himself) to anyone.

Such a good list. A favorite movie line for Lucius Malfoy would’ve been “Well if it rains, you’ll be the first to know.” Insulting a whole family in one sentence
“A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who've forgotten how to listen.” - Albus Dumbledore Without a doubt my favorite quote from the series
My favourite line of Fred and George(from book): We should have got an E in our OWL’s. We exceeded expectations just by showing up for the exams. Sums up their character perfectly😂
Narcissa wasn't just afraid for Draco but she also would have been freaked out that Voldemort hit Harry with the killing curse twice and it didn't kill him either time. At that point she probably would have been thinking that Voldemort is gonna lose.
For Kingsley, the most powerful oh shit moment was at the wedding where his patronus said "The ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming.” Gave me chills the first time hearing that
Wish we could have seen that. I loved Bill Nighy's portrayal of Scrimgeour - to have seen him in a fight to the death defending the ministry would have been amazing. These are dark times, there's no denying.
Personally, I think Dumbledore's best line is "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it's not real?" and Voldemort's is "Harry Potter... The boy who lived... Come... to die."
My favorite Sirius quote: "The world is not split into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the path we act to choose on. That's who we really are". My favorite Lockhart quote: "Let me introduce your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Me. Gilderoy Lockhart. Order of Merlin third class, honorary member of the Dark Force Defense League, and five times winner of Witch's Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award. But I dont't talk about that, I didn't get rid of the Bandon Banshee by smiling at her". My favorite Luna quote: "You're not going mad, I can see them too. You're just as sane as I am". My favorite Fred/George quote: "He's not Fred, I am" "Seriously woman, you call yourself our mother?" Molly: "Oh sorry George". Fred: "I'm only joking, I am Fred"
This one's from The Philosopher's Stone. "You haven’t got a letter on yours," George observed, "I suppose she thinks you don’t forget your name. But we’re not stupid - we know we’re called Gred and Forge."
After you made that joke about the "Shoelace" line, I was kind of expecting you to do the same thing with the infamous "HARRY, DIDJA PUT YER NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIAA?!?!" with Dumbledore.
For Sirius, my favorite movie line is definitely "You are not a bad person Harry, you're a good person who bad things have happened to" as Harry went through so much at this moment. For Dumbledore it is definitely "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
My favourite dumbeldore line(s) is in the half blood prince. In the start at slughorn’s house he tells Harry not to worry because “you are with me” and then at the end after getting the fake locket, he tells Harry he’s not worried because “I am with you”. Easily my favourite piece of writing in any piece of media
even more to this - when Harry gives Ron, Hermione & Ginny the remainder of his Felix Felicis before going locket-hunting with Dumbledore, he also tells them "i won't need luck, i'll be safe because i'll be with Dumbledore".
Mine, from that movie, is when they are talking to slughorn and Dumbledore asks slughorn if he can take the knitting magazine. Dumbledore says "I do enjoy reading knitting patterns." I am a knitter and really enjoy reading, and trying, new knitting patterns.
My favourite exchange: Lupin : It is the quality of one's convictions that determines success, not the number of followers. Kingsley: Who said that? Lupin : Me.
Hell yeah the line “Give her hell from us Peeves” was legendary. What makes it even better was Peeves’ reaction, he saluted them, and then proceeded to do exactly that, which even got McGonagall siding with him, actually muttering to him “the chandlier unscrews the other way.”
@@grand_admiral_henrich4416 Jason Isaacs is AMAZING as Lucius. You know, he actually punctured Tom Felton's hand with his cane. In the scene, in Borgen and Burkes, when he hits Draco's hand and says "Don't touch anything." The fangs on his cane accidentally went into Tom's hand.
I'm quite fond of Harry telling Mrs. Weasley "I like a quiet life, you know me" in Half-Blood Prince. A nice self-aware injection of humor to make her feel better during a tough time. Genuinely a funny line, but it's nice in context too
My favorite line of Jacob’s from the first Fantastic Beasts Film is when he was getting Obliviated he says “It’s just like waking up right?” It was so heartbreaking to heart that
I think Ginny's best book line is when Harry was going to save Sirius , she said “Excuse me, but I care what happens to Sirius as much as you do!” suddenly striking. “You’re too -” Harry began. “I’m three years older than you were when you fought You-Know-Who over the Sorcerer’s Stone,” she said fiercely, “and it’s because of me Malfoy’s stuck back in Umbridge’s office with giant flying bogeys attacking him "
What a banger this video is! I really love "Dobby has no master! Dobby is a free elf, and Dobby has come to save Harry Potter and his friends!" My second favorite is: "It is one's conviction that matters for the quality of success, not the number of followers." It's from Prof. Lupin.
Evanna Lynch for me is the best casting decision they've made. The only other actors in the series that embraced and fall for their characters this much is Tom Felton. Which is ironic because evanna is a big fan of the series and always wanted to be Luna while Tom Felton just randomly auditioned without reading any books but somehow got casted
my favourite dumbledore (and entire film franchise) quote is "soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy" and surprised there was no flitwick, "names" "professor flitwick, youve known me for five years" "no exceptions, Potter"
In my opinion, Sirius's best movie quote was in Prisoner of Azkaban when he said to Snape: "Oh, why don't you run along and play with your chemistry set?"
Mine is “once again, you put your keen and penetrating mind to the task and after examining all of the evidence you come to the wrong conclusion.” It perfectly sums up Snape in a lot of the movies
McGonagall's favorite line for me is in the movie Chamber of Secrets when Ron says they are going to be expelled and Professor McGonagall says, "Not today"
mcgonagolls line should’ve been “why is it always you three that get into trouble” and then ron answers “trust me professor, i’ve been asking myself the same question for 6 years”
I love Sirius' "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals" from the Goblet of Fire. It is wise and so dramatically contradict to his behaviour in the next book
Because despite everything, Sirius was still a member of the Black family, and that was indeed his true character. Just because he directed his hatred constructively, doesn't mean he was any less of a man ruled by contempt and hatred than his family. Just look at how he and James treated Snape at Hogwarts. Indeed, there was a reason everyone, even Remus, could believe he betrayed James and killed Peter. Ironically, the way Sirius is initially presented to us as the Prisoner of Azkaban, is indeed who he really was deep down.
@@NotAGoodUsername360 Eh, we've seen him after years of what simply put amount to torture, no? However well adjusted he might be, the version of him we see in the present is a result of Azkaban in many ways. He was a dick as a teenager, in an awful household. That doesn't mean he's inherently evil.
the reason he hated kreacher was bc kreacher always followed his mother's instructions and also despised sirius bc sirius was a rebel and grimauld place is the place where he used to be abused by his family. And kreacher still have the values of his mother the way he mutters racial slurs to the residents there.
@@ceciliaeth6550 In Sirius’s defense, Kreacher wasn’t exactly easy to be nice too, everyone but Hermione hated him or at least disliked him in OOTF, though the others weren’t mean to him like Sirius was, but Kreacher said awful things about the others in front of them, and like Sirius said Kreacher knew what he was saying.
My favorite line is when Dumbledore says: "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” The whole entire Harry Potter Universe came from inside JK Rowling's head, and she made it real by generously sharing her story with the world. Thank you JK!!!
Eh I prefer Snape’s line when unbridgeable is interrogating his class she’s like “you failed for the defence against the dark arts role every year?” And he just says “Obviously” 😂 love that line
McGonagall has the best quotes in both books and films. In the films, I love "Yes Longbottom. BOOM!" and her asking Umbridge, if she wants an anti-cough fudge, as she repeatadly coughed interrupting her in her office. In the books, "That, was very KNIGHTLY from you, Potter", got me, when Harry used crucio on Amycus Carrow (or Alecto, idk)
How come no one is talking about that one Luna quote: "Well, if I were You-Know-Who, I'd want you to feel cut off from everyone else, because if it's just you alone, you're not as much of a threat." hands down her best movie quote.
I’d say it’s just as wick as “I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK” bc both show her lack of remorse and regret for her actions that led two children to be unloved for years throughout their childhoods.
@@Annah.k Seriously, I loved the way that line was delivered. It was nothing like what I was hearing in my head while reading it. Carter delivered it as if she’d just won an amusement park competition or something, it was great and it gives me chills every time.
Ginny's most iconic line, " The thing about growing up with Fred andd George is that you sort of start thinking that ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE IF YOU'VE GOT ENOUGH NERVE."
It's just an opinion but for me my favourite quote for George was also when they were leaving Hogwarts and he said 'special discount to Hogwarts students who use our products to get rid of this old bat' Ik it's not exactly same but I'm glad I remember it it's really funny.
For me Hagrid's best line from movie was, "shouldn't have said that, I should not have said that." cause I relate to it so much not being able to keep my big mouth shut 🥲
My favorite Umbridge line is “I WILL HAVE ORDER!!” because it’s just so funny that she was about to get kidnapped by centaurs but that’s still all she cared about. 😂😂
For the Remus one id say his last movie line is powerful too, "it is the quality of ones convictions that determines success not the amount of followers." Used it in my graduation speech too
"Always" is the best quote in the whole thing to me. My friend has it tattooed as it was his mums favourite line before she died, which also matches perfectly with Lily saying "Always" to harry in the forbidden forest via the resurrection stone. "Always" has become THE harry potter line to me.
My favourite Luna quote is definitely: "you're just as sane as I am". That won't exactly sound comforting to the person she says it to (in this case Harry).
For a long time, I haven't understood the "hype" around this line, because, well, his full name is actially Harry JAMES Potter, but as I watched the OOTP movie again, noticed that Sirius said it to James in the flashback, and the writers intention just got clear for me, so now I can totally understand the emotional impact of it.
I Just saw that part again and then I noticed the look and Harry's (Daniel Radcliff's) face. He must've felt so thrilled, happy and just on top of the world. It just made the next scene more heartbreaking.
My favourite Ginny line from the movie was when she yelled “Shut It!” At the Quidditch trials. That one always tickled me 🤣 (As did when Ron said “Accio Brain” in the OOTP book)
My personal favorite Snape line is when Umbridge confronts him during his potions class, asking about him originally applying for the DADA post and saying “and you unsuccessful?” Only for him to reply with “obviously”.
Personally my favorite line from Mcgonagall from the movies was from thbp when she told harry to take Ron with himself to potions class and that he looked far too happy over there.
My favorite line from Harry is “Look at madam bones, and emmeline Vance, it could be me next, couldn’t it? But if it is, I will make sure that I take as many death eaters with me as possible and Voldemort himself too, if I can manage it!” SUPER UNDERRATED LINE
My all time favorite line from Mcgonagall was from when Umbridge wanted to throw Prof. Trelawney out of Hogwarts, and she goes : ` is there anything you would like to say? and Minerva goes all : ` Oh, there are several things I would like to say!` cracks me up everytime.
My favourite movie lines for Ron and Minerva are in the same scene.

“A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who've forgotten how to listen.” - Albus Dumbledore
Without a doubt my favorite quote from the series
HARRYDIDYOUPUTYOURNAMEINTHEGOBLETOFFIRE
that's my favorite
Where?
Slughorn’s “I think I may have done great damage that day.” YA THINK REALLY YA THINK🤦♂️💀🤦♂️💀🤦♂️💀🤦♂️💀🤦♂️
My favourite line of Fred and George(from book): We should have got an E in our OWL’s. We exceeded expectations just by showing up for the exams. Sums up their character perfectly😂
😂true
Oh my god- stop! That's too funny😂😂
😂😂😂
"Ask us no questions and we'll tell you no lies."
I just totally went all the way through to make sure someone had this line. Easily the best Fred and George quote. THAT sums them up to a T.
Narcissa wasn't just afraid for Draco but she also would have been freaked out that Voldemort hit Harry with the killing curse twice and it didn't kill him either time. At that point she probably would have been thinking that Voldemort is gonna lose.
My favourite Hogwarts song is a deleted scenes ( In Noctem)
she definitely thought he would lose and made the best decision for her family
But the fear of losing Draco was the thing what made her lie to Voldemort, who normaly knows when someone is lying
6:53 That “Always” always gives me goosebumps. Every time. Alan Rickman was such a great actor. RIP
When us men fall for a woman, it is often the rest of our life.
Personally, I think Dumbledore's best line is "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it's not real?" and Voldemort's is "Harry Potter... The boy who lived... Come... to die."
DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE!?
Dumbledore’s best line is obviously in the books Harrydidjaputyanameindagobletofire!
@@5amjack This line is in both, but what you put is actually from the movies. In the book, he says it a lot more calmly.
My favourite dobby's line is " such a beautiful place, to be with friends" it literally made me cry
"Dobby never meant to kill! Dobby only meant to maim, or...seriously injure!"
Yes, this Luna's words are great)
I think lockharts famous line and funniest is..."this is amazing, it's just like MAGIC!!"
After you made that joke about the "Shoelace" line, I was kind of expecting you to do the same thing with the infamous "HARRY, DIDJA PUT YER NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIAA?!?!" with Dumbledore.
yeah same LOL
Ngl same lol
Yass
Same
FIAA
6:27 BRO I GENUINELY THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE “DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE”😂
ME TOO I came to the comments to see if anyone else thought the same 😂
"Shoelace"
ah yes, what a word of wisdom from Ginny Weasley. So inspirational
Yes the infamous quote the chosen one speaks. I am just kidding that was awkward
Amazing Amazing 🤯
Truly inspiring. It makes me smile and cry.
It made me cry it was so inspirational
Aren't you the person in the comments of all those drew durnil videos
For Sirius, my favorite movie line is definitely "You are not a bad person Harry, you're a good person who bad things have happened to" as Harry went through so much at this moment. For Dumbledore it is definitely "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
So true!
I like when Dumbledore said,"there comes a time when we must choose between what is right and what is easy".
That's my favorite Sirius quote from the movie too! My other favorite quote is from Deathly Hallows Part 2, "Quicker and easier than falling asleep."
My favorite Trewlaney quote is in the Prisoner of Azkaban where she asks Neville "You! Is your grandmother well?" *Looks into his cup* "What a pity" 🤣
Harry's best line in the movies definitely is: "I'm sorry Professor, but I must not tell lies."
It’d probably be “brilliant” he loves that word 😂
Exactly what I thought. When Umbridge got dragged away by the centors. 😀
Amen
Yaaaas
yess! Facts
I legit *CRIIIIIIED* hearing Lily's movie quote. Oh my goodness it sounds so real. Well done Susie Shinner. It's so raw and emotional I can't even-
"I didn't, I just did my research, unlike some other people"
BEST MORGAN LINE EVER😂
Lol 😆
Lol
My favourite exchange:
Lupin : It is the quality of one's convictions that determines success, not the number of followers.
🎉😂🎉😂🎉😂🎉😂❤
"Get away from my godson *decks Lucius*" is one of my favorite Sirius moments
Sirius did what I always wanted to do wirh Lucuis. Probs for the actor to make Luicus, such a hatable character with some AMAZING improv moments

Evanna Lynch for me is the best casting decision they've made. The only other actors in the series that embraced and fall for their characters this much is Tom Felton. Which is ironic because evanna is a big fan of the series and always wanted to be Luna while Tom Felton just randomly auditioned without reading any books but somehow got casted
my favourite dumbledore (and entire film franchise) quote is "soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy"

I get a kick out of the "bumbling band of baboons" line. I wonder how many takes were required, since that's quite a tongue-twister.
mcgonagolls line should’ve been “why is it always you three that get into trouble” and then ron answers “trust me professor, i’ve been asking myself the same question for 6 years”
I love Sirius' "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals" from the Goblet of Fire. It is wise and so dramatically contradict to his behaviour in the next book
Exactly. Sirius talked a good game there, but didn't see how that applied to Kreacher.
My favorite line is when Dumbledore says: "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”
The whole entire Harry Potter Universe came from inside JK Rowling's head, and she made it real by generously sharing her story with the world. Thank you JK!!!

Unbridgeable? Ha, ha. That's brilliant!
"Unbridgeable"? Don't change it please.

@@Annah.k Seriously, I loved the way that line was delivered. It was nothing like what I was hearing in my head while reading it. Carter delivered it as if she’d just won an amusement park competition or something, it was great and it gives me chills every time.
Ginny's most iconic line,
" The thing about growing up with Fred andd George is that you sort of start thinking that ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE IF YOU'VE GOT ENOUGH NERVE."
It's just an opinion but for me my favourite quote for George was also when they were leaving Hogwarts and he said 'special discount to Hogwarts students who use our products to get rid of this old bat'
Ik it's not exactly same but I'm glad I remember it it's really funny.
For the Remus one id say his last movie line is powerful too, "it is the quality of ones convictions that determines success not the amount of followers." Used it in my graduation speech too
"Who said that?"
"Me. Just now."
"Always" is the best quote in the whole thing to me. My friend has it tattooed as it was his mums favourite line before she died, which also matches perfectly with Lily saying "Always" to harry in the forbidden forest via the resurrection stone. "Always" has become THE harry potter line to me.
my 2 favorite mcgonagal spells are
"Ive always wanted to use that spell"
and
"bambling bumbling band of baboons!"
My favourite Luna quote is definitely: "you're just as sane as I am". That won't exactly sound comforting to the person she says it to (in this case Harry).
That's actually also Evanna Lynch's (Luna Lovegood actress') favorite line
I love the line sirius says in OOTP the movie
‘NICE ONE JAMES’
Just hits so hard
For a long time, I haven't understood the "hype" around this line, because, well, his full name is actially Harry JAMES Potter, but as I watched the OOTP movie again, noticed that Sirius said it to James in the flashback, and the writers intention just got clear for me, so now I can totally understand the emotional impact of it.

(As did when Ron said “Accio Brain” in the OOTP book)
I think Argus's line was also said by Peeves in the first book, "Oh dear we are in trouble"
Apparently they both said it in the first book. XD
My personal favorite Snape line is when Umbridge confronts him during his potions class, asking about him originally applying for the DADA post and saying “and you unsuccessful?” Only for him to reply with “obviously”.
I love Alan Rickman so much
"People will think you're ... ... ... up to something."

My favorite line from Harry is
“Look at madam bones, and emmeline Vance, it could be me next, couldn’t it? But if it is, I will make sure that I take as many death eaters with me as possible and Voldemort himself too, if I can manage it!”
SUPER UNDERRATED LINE

My all time favorite line from Mcgonagall was from when Umbridge wanted to throw Prof. Trelawney out of Hogwarts, and she goes : ` is there anything you would like to say? and Minerva goes all : ` Oh, there are several things I would like to say!` cracks me up everytime.
