Great job Rick. Very labor intensive but worth doing to preserve that expensive top. It certainly helps that you keep your cars in the garage out of the brutal Arizona sun! Well we are getting ready for a lot more rain, some wind but not bad, and a ton of tropical humidity. Because what was hurricane Ida is visiting around Wednesday and Thursday. More areas of flooding around here. September is around the corner and so is the beautiful fall weather! Well hope you have a great week. It is around 2am and I couldn't sleep so got up to watch Mannix and Cannon, shows from the 60's and 70's. Then I will go back to bed at 4 and hopefully sleep to 7! It hasn't been too hot this summer but the humidity is up in the 70's so feels like your in Panama! We need some AZ low humidity than the summers would be perfect!!!!
Thank you Dave! Hopefully it will hold up a few more years...If I ever have the car painted it will need to be replaced, but for now it is working well. I hope you all don't have any major flooding and your weather calms down a bit. We had a break from the rain last week, but we are supposed to have a little more the next couple of days. I sold the car with in 6 months of redoing the top so I honestly can't say. I had no issues for the tine I had the car after the process. Water proofing worked very well.
Thank you. I actually sold the car just a few months after applying the dye so I am not sure how it is holding up. It is a pretty straight-forward application though and it did make a difference.
Hey Rick, Our 997 with 44k miles had those same fold marks in the top. Other than that, it was in good condition but still annoying. Currently, the Ferrari has fold marks plus wear marks, like scuffing the material to make holes. Also, has the plastic window that folds where you can see the fold mark in it. A little to far gone for your resto top product but, you got my attention. We bought a new soft top but haven't had it installed yet.

I only had the car for about 6 months following the refresh. For the six months it was good. It continued to repel water 10x better than it had before I did the process. Seems to be worth it if your top is looking a little warn out.
Half the problems are leaving the roof folded down to long , and creases , What I did was raise the roof but not until it locks , go over it with a steamer and then lock it tight. On our Smart roadster it needs the folds too work , so steamed it , fold it down and pegged the folds in clothes pegs over night , and presto it now folds well . Renovo does work well .😉👌✌
I just stumbled upon your channel. I know that this vid isn't about the crosstrek, but I am a 21 year old kid about to buy the 2021 sport model. Do you like your cool-gray khaki color? People say it's a girl's color. Not sure what to think, all the other colors in this model are boring or too dramatic. Thank you!
Howdy and thank you for watching and for your question. I love the color personally and my son who is almost 20 does as well. You will always have negative people out there so my advice is get what you want. It is your can and you have to look at it everyday. It is easy to keep clean, hide scratches pretty well and Its just a great color. Best of luck with your new car and have fun!

bird pooped after applying coats #2, I washed it off but its now very patch, I stupidly use dish soap it looks bad bro. what to do
