The cost of this in America is CRAZY. i live in the Dominican Republic and I got this done twice as my doctor didnt want to remove too much at one go. I paid $300USD and great great results. Perfect...$3,000-15,000 is CRAZY to me lol BTW: When i was researching about it I called a well known surgeon in LA and he was charging me $6,500 for it apart from the $250 for the zoom call and the airbnb and plane ticket. I am not saying to go to a third world country to get this done as it is a huge risk to take, i am just stating my experience. Please dont leave mean comments. Thanks.
I live in Belgium, I had a bleph for 2000€ last year. Not cheap, but he has to pay the anesthesiologist, nurse, the hospital… in Belgium are a lot of day clinics and surgeons rent locations by the hour. But 8 years before me a friend had done the same procedure for 800€. 😮
@@orphanl now that you mention that, the doctor did remove muscle and it was done in his office in about 30 mins. So no nurses, none of that. AGAIN, THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE. AND DAMN 800€ is good!
Well done girl ,I will be doing the same, better spend the money in order to get good results with a good doc ...here in Romania is less than half the price ...hoe you are happy with your results 😀
I've had a lip filler treatment done. My doctor is very conservative and her thing is less is more. She used 0.5 ml and I am very pleased with the results. Greetings from Germany
I can relate I got made fun of people told me dsl which I didn't know what that meant when I was younger. Also people accused me of them being fake. But it's all natural
I’m glad you did this overview, Lorry, because I haven’t understood lip lifts. Now that you have explained it so well, I’m skeptical. Given the cost, the scarring and the other risks, I don’t think it’s worth it, especially if there’s a chance you could have your speech affected or not be able to move your mouth naturally. Even the “good” results are so subtle that I don’t think I’d do it even if it was gifted to me. So now the dreaded long philtrum isn’t good according to our beauty standards. It’s hard to keep up. The more I watch these types of videos the more important it is for me to accept myself as God made me.
I always thought it was a upper lift & corner lift i needed, it's not until I watched this I realised that in fact the V/Y procedure would be more effect as to what I'm wanting So AGAIN Thank you Lorry for continually educating us and providing us with all the information we need 💙
If you've seen Dove in interviews over the years, you'll see how distracting it is to watch her talk. She sort of plays with her lips/ tries to get them to work right? 😅 I wonder if this will impede her acting abilities? Being able to communicate is the most important thing as an actress! Crazy she could ruin that for herself. Super sad.
I’ve had it and it was the only procedure I’ve had. I’m super happy with the results. I naturally have m-shaped-lips (that’s where the upper lip is facing downward, looking like the letter M from the front). The doctor performed a bullhorn excision skin only, and shortened my Philtrum from 20 to 10 mm. It really boosted my confidence long term. There is a visible scar, it’s just white and as I am very pale that’s not a big deal. Only downside is that the scar on the left nostril has a little indent that creates a shadow that makes my nostrils look slightly asymmetrical. But either way, no regrets. Had it done at 25, 4 years ago. Life is better with a top lip.
I think I may have similar lips to yours...in your opinion, with hindsight, would u still have a skin only lift or would you go for the muscle, and why or why not? Thanks!!!
I love how Lorry genuinely wants to help other women feel more beautiful! I think she’s a great example of your body your choice! Nobody should feel they have to get any procedure done to be accepted or loved but there’s no shame in wanting to look your best so why not spread awareness about the risks of surgery while also being honest about how they can make some people feel better in their own skin 🖤 As someone who’s grown up in an environment where all plastic surgery was considered absolutely insane and ridiculous, morally wrong even, Lorry’s videos help me feel less shame for getting chin lipo done last year. Btw I still love my result!
I rarely feel that anyone has such a long philtrum that it bothers me. Some people also just rock that long philtrum look. With confidense, about anything can look beautiful
@@ririimari The way people look overall can't be reduced to single features "long philtrum", "small eyes", "thin eyebrows", etc. Someone can be overall beautiful, and even mire than someone else, even with a long philtrum, small eyes etc...
as someone who’s had this done, it’s probably my favorite procedure. it made a dramatic difference and when i talk you can see the babydoll-like curvature of my top lip. only negative is the gnarly scarring which could’ve been less aggressive had i not kept the lip filler i was told to remove. I have since removed the top lip filler and love the final result! 💞
@@KelLAkiwi Oh no! Thankfully, i already had a good base with my lips so i never suffered from migration. However, having filler at the time of the surgery affects the healing process because the filler causes the area to have weight, thus pulling down on the skin, creating a more permeable scar.
@@ComfortASMRalice pretty easy, just minimal activity in that area is advised after surgery. like no eating textured foods that cause certain mouth movements and not too much kissing etc. After 3 weeks i was completely back to normal and downtime is like 2 days.
Hey lorry i just wanna say thank you! I learned so much about plastic surgery thanks to you and your content is really helping me when it comes to my body dismorphia.
Hi Lorry Can you make a video on Pamela Anderson? She’s made a comeback with her recent documentary. I think she’s naturally beautiful and a very nice person. She looks really great.
I think you should have mentioned that people already with a big/full sizable top lip might not be suitable, because it would just make their top lip look absolutely huge...unless that's the look you're going for. I would like to get this procedure done I have a long philtrum...but I already have a sizable full/big top lip, although with very little Cupid's bow definition. I'm thinking maybe braces to pull back my slight overbite might help to minimise the appearance of my long philtrum as it won't protrude outward due to my overbite 😅
Didn't women in the past simply overdraw their upper lip line with lip liner to get a similar effect? Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, come immediately to mind. Seems like an easier and much less painful option!
I was worried when I started to follow Lori that the videos would trigger me to do more procedures but I think quite frankly I realised less is more. Most people looked better when they didn’t have many procedures. The only exceptions to this that I can think of are the Kardashians, Demi Moore and Cher. It blows my mind that people like Gigi Hadid thought they needed to change their looks. Oh well, if it makes them happy, why not?
Lorrie ~ Your makeup shades ~ especially your lip color ~ were especially flattering on this day! 👄You look like a perfect rose. 🌷Just wanted to send that compliment your way🙋🏻♀️
Both of these procedures are exactly what I want. Old age has increased the space between my nose and upper lip. It seemed to happen so suddenly I was shocked. Thanks for info.
För years now I've wanted a lift lip, maybe I'll go for it. One thing I've noticed over the years is the patient feedback sites have gone from very high satisfaction to lower, maybe 70% approval. More issues reported with muscle involved surgery, a couple of surgeons even stopped doing that surgery. That's one reason I hesitate, will I need to relearn how to move my mouth?
I have never had this procedure but I had an accident where my superior labial frenum (the little piece of muscle above your teeth) was cut completely and now I have more difficulty closing my lips, I can imagine this is something similar as it also includes cutting a piece of skin that is directly related with closing the mouth but I would recommend you search a lot about what people who have had this done say about it, specifically how this have affected them throughout the years and your surgeon's advice
I have insecurities but I can honestly say I have lips that some people pay thousands of dollars for but will still never achieve. I absolutely love my lips. And yes, I got comments making fun of them before in my life. But anyways I have a big nose and that's not really the beauty standard. But not everyone needs big lips or a small nose, this thinking is disregarding how everyone's face is different and what may look nice on someone else may throw off the balance of your face.
This is the only procedure I believe I might do in my 40s-50s. My lips are a good size, I take great care of my skin and all is good but the top lip is a tad bit long 😗😆 love love love your content as always 👑🇲🇽 saludos desde Mexico preciosa 💖
lol it's funny you posted this cause I was watching the new season of OBX and was wondering if Madelyn Cline has gotten one. I'm leaning towards no but, idk her upper lip looked kinda prominent in some scenes!
I love this procedure it’s a game changer for people with a long distance from the philtrum to mouth but if you are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring make sure you get the surgeon to inject steroids in the area that same day
I had one done and got a huuuuge visible scar around my nose. had to walk around a year with this scar until I finally got it cut out. Now it's less visible.
Me too, but for me it only ever lasts a month or so ..I also need a lot of botox as my muscle is strong!! I still haven't found the right amount as I keep increasing it every time, and it's still not enough. But it is a subtle improvement...
One thing I noticed is some of these results are barely noticeable... like they maybe had a mm lift. It looks the same as before. I can't imagine shelling out thousands and going through surgery for my lips to literally look the exact same.
I am always amazed about the rigor and detail that you put in to these videos taking into consideration even the rhinoplasty that Kim had that made her a good candidate. I love your videos!
I love Lorry's videos. They are so informative and they really shine the light on how much money and effort it takes to look like a celebrity. Regretfully, they all seem to go overboard which to me leaves everyone looking like factory clones. Also, the chiseled plastic surgery frozen botox filler face can look masculine and drag queeny.
I have seen too many obvious scars on people from this procedure. I wouldn't want a potential scar in the middle of my face. I have also seen people get nostril asymmetry from this. Not for me.
I do wonder why so many women want such enormous lips. If your lips are smaller or somewhat thin, that is what nature intended. I think of Ann-Margret--my idol as a kid--whose lips were thin and perfectly complemented the rest of her face. Or Natalie Wood, whose upper lip was not all puffed up. All this talk of philtrums confuses me. What? It's just a normal part of the face. Some poor people have a smooth philtrum which lacks the characteristic groove; it is a sign that their mothers drank heavily in pregnancy (now THAT is something that needs a fix!). To me, nothing is worth compromising the ability to speak clearly and comfortably.
I have had the procedure done, after trying filler for years, this procedure gave so much harmony to my face, made my face more proportional and made me look less angry when my face was at rest. Not everyone wants a huge lip.
I'm so torn by this procedure. I have a naturally long philtrum and as I'm getting older it gets longer... but I'm so anxious I'll hate the permanent results I don't think I can do it 😅
Same! My philtrum is naturally long… like 20mm at least! I’ve always felt self-conscious about it and have used make up to make slight adjustments to my nose and upper lip. I’m thinking of getting this procedure done since my philtrum will only get longer as I age.
I can somehow watch videos of necessary surgery but I have a very hard time looking at plastic surgery photos. They look TERRIFYING to me and it's not like I'd think my face would be anything even remotely perfect. I can imagine things that could make it nicer but no desired change is worth all the healing I would have to deal with
I got one CC of filler and 2_3 years later I noticed my philtrum was longer. I shouldn't have got the darn filler because I only did it once and the results were minor and lasted 8 months
@@beameupscotty ya but it didn't happen until after I got lip filler. I don't have one wrinkle on my face . I'm black so my skin hasn't dropped anywhere else. We age differently and I know my own body . I was absolutely the fillers that did it.
I didn’t know corner lip lifts were a thing. My natural lip positions is a frown. I have to activate my smile muscles to get my lips to a neutral, straight position. It’s getting worse as I age and creating lines around my mouth. I doubt I’d ever do anything about it, but interesting to know it exists.
Now that you mentioned I kinda wanna get a lip corner lift because I have "resting B face" and I'm also kinda shy and don't talk a lot so many people probably think I'm angry a lot because of my downturned mouth😅
Great, helpful analysis, as always. Given that you're a pro in my eyes... My ENT said that he'll go ahead and do a septoplasty while he does another procedure for me because my septum is quite deviated. My question to you is, how much, if any, will a setoplasty affect my appearance? (I dont want my nose to change, even though it's not perfect.)
I see some examples from Dr Warwick Nettle! His lip lifts are easily the best. I cant see any scars. Whatever his suturing technique is... it's the best for sure.

I had this procedure done by a top plastic surgeon in LA. I have been left with obvious uneven lips. Very depressing as I blame myself. Would not recommend
Hi Lorry! I did a lip lift 6 months ago. Was done in Seville (Spain) by a oral plastic surgeon. Long story short. Not bad ... I'm just the same almost. The thing is my mouth looks smaller as it was pulled up more on the center. I've contacted my doctor to do a corner lift I hope it helps. It will ! I did a modified one with muscle involved. Love your videos !
Hi, Lorry I love how you break down the procedures that been done! Not judging anyone! I would love to see you do more men! I've seen a lot of actors that are losing there hair and some of the finest ones look different! Keep up the good work!!❤❤❤❤❤
I think lips looked balanced when the upper lip is thinner than the lower lip. I see many lip lift procedures where in the end, the upper lip comes out bigger than the lower lip, and that doesn't look natural at all. It's like upside-down. Furthermore, I see no problem with thin upper lips, like Kate Middleton's. I think we are born with the size of lips that matches our facial structure, and this is a trend that will pass.

The cost of this in America is CRAZY. i live in the Dominican Republic and I got this done twice as my doctor didnt want to remove too much at one go. I paid $300USD and great great results. Perfect...$3,000-15,000 is CRAZY to me lol
BTW: When i was researching about it I called a well known surgeon in LA and he was charging me $6,500 for it apart from the $250 for the zoom call and the airbnb and plane ticket.
AND DAMN 800€ is good!
i got this done in turkey for the same reason
Well done girl ,I will be doing the same, better spend the money in order to get good results with a good doc ...here in Romania is less than half the price ...hoe you are happy with your results 😀
unfortunately getting plastic surgery in the DR has a greater risk of necrosis and death. Each person's story is their individual experience.
I've had a lip filler treatment done. My doctor is very conservative and her thing is less is more. She used 0.5 ml and I am very pleased with the results. Greetings from Germany
Is that your thing too?
My full lips got called "gay lips" in school. Look who's laughing now. I am gay with full lips and I feel great about both.
People with full lips get it done too to make their lips higher
I got called Mick Jagger lips and worse names too.
This is literally me rn
@@noimnotakpoppfpsheacy2526 trust me, you’re winning. Pay no mind to the morons!
Lorry always make videos that keep me engaged the whole way through..it's kind of scary how interesting her content is 🤔

I always thought it was a upper lift & corner lift i needed, it's not until I watched this I realised that in fact the V/Y procedure would be more effect as to what I'm wanting
So AGAIN Thank you Lorry for continually educating us and providing us with all the information we need 💙
Jeez, there's so many procedures that can be done, it's crazy. Things I've never even thought of, lol.
I just had this done. I don't know if muscle was involved but probably not because i didn't have such a long recovery. Im happy with the results
Had mine in 2018 and it was soooo worth it!!! It took years off of my face.
Do you struggle with speech at all? That’s the only thing I’m scared about getting
are your nostrils wider?
If you've seen Dove in interviews over the years, you'll see how distracting it is to watch her talk. She sort of plays with her lips/ tries to get them to work right? 😅 I wonder if this will impede her acting abilities? Being able to communicate is the most important thing as an actress! Crazy she could ruin that for herself. Super sad.
Without information like this, I don’t think people can be honest with themselves about what surgery option is the best.
Thanks!!!
@@KelLAkiwiI would like to know that as well please 🙏
I am so glad you chose to talk about the lift lift again!
With confidense, about anything can look beautiful
yeah I feel like it's more useful as an anti-aging procedure rather than a beautifying procedure for young people
@@ririimari The way people look overall can't be reduced to single features "long philtrum", "small eyes", "thin eyebrows", etc.

Did your nose change?
How was your recovery?
How did the lip filler affect scarring? Had it migrated up to the base of the nose?
@@KelLAkiwi Oh no! Thankfully, i already had a good base with my lips so i never suffered from migration. However, having filler at the time of the surgery affects the healing process because the filler causes the area to have weight, thus pulling down on the skin, creating a more permeable scar.
@@ComfortASMRalice pretty easy, just minimal activity in that area is advised after surgery. like no eating textured foods that cause certain mouth movements and not too much kissing etc. After 3 weeks i was completely back to normal and downtime is like 2 days.
Wow. So fascinating! Lorry, could u do a video explaining more about the V to the Y plasty procedure?
Hey lorry i just wanna say thank you! I learned so much about plastic surgery thanks to you and your content is really helping me when it comes to my body dismorphia.
I agree. All this info is really important and helps us really look into what we think about ourselves. For me, at least.
Hi Lorry
Can you make a video on Pamela Anderson?
I feel like my Philtrum may be too short, it’s like 0.5mm.
Is not good for black people and long upper lip looks good on us
Didn't women in the past simply overdraw their upper lip line with lip liner to get a similar effect? Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, come immediately to mind. Seems like an easier and much less painful option!
"Women in the past" lmao people still do it today
yes they did, even wearing lip gloss makes your lips look fuller...
Lorry, your videos are very entertaining and at the same time, very informative. I don't even know when the videos are coming to an end.😚😚😚
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for doing a video on lip lifts!
Of course!! ❤️
Lorrie ~ Your makeup shades ~ especially your lip color ~ were especially flattering on this day! 👄You look like a perfect rose. 🌷Just wanted to send that compliment your way🙋🏻♀️
Wow, the amount of information you give in a single video about a procedure is amazing! Thank you!
I have quite a small space between my nose and lip so it would just sew my lips and nose together if they did this to me
👁️👃👁️
🫦
Same lol. I already pretty much always get food like burgers and bbq on my nose.
Both of these procedures are exactly what I want. Old age has increased the space between my nose and upper lip. It seemed to happen so suddenly I was shocked. Thanks for info.
Can you make a video about Pamela Anderson and what she's had done recently? She's looking 25 years younger all of a sudden. I'd like her doctor.
Actually strong noses are becoming en vogue
Yeah bigger noses are more beautiful than small noses imo. They often look more elegant and classy to me
@@binkao2938 I have one, a bumpy one, it's nice hearing this.
i like my thin lips. i am told they have a nice shape to them and in this world of fillers and trout pouts it's nice to know i don't look like that.
This is the only procedure I believe I might do in my 40s-50s. My lips are a good size, I take great care of my skin and all is good but the top lip is a tad bit long 😗😆 love love love your content as always 👑🇲🇽 saludos desde Mexico preciosa 💖
I love your top. The colour really suits you. You're looking beautiful, sweet Lorry❤
Thank you so much
lol it's funny you posted this cause I was watching the new season of OBX and was wondering if Madelyn Cline has gotten one.
I've had a botox lip flip. It looks incredibly natural. It blends perfectly with my overall pout. I love it!
I wanna get this too. My lip curls under when I smile.. I’m nervous tho
@@missarilounot encouraging you but botox wears away with time.
Not for me.
ive been considering this over fillers, thanks for sharing Lorry!
This video was particularly well made!👏🏽 super interesting especially since I’ve been contemplating this surgery in my future…🤔
You are such a nice lady. I really respect your honesty ❤
I have had 2 skin only bullhorn lip lifts but the top lip always drops over time with movement of the mouth, eating etc
I would not do it myself but it actually looks good on many people
I do wonder why so many women want such enormous lips.
@@kita5066 Actually, that particular lift that corrects a downturn does seem very worthy to me.
Amazing video
Hi Lorry, can you talk about eyebrow lift procedures
second i also want a brow lift video!
Definitely!
Love these type of videos. Please continue this series of all procedures.
I would love more risks and complications videos about various procedures!
what is your intrinsic value if you are not individual?
You’re presupposing that the inherent worth of someone is based solely on their physical appearance?
I can somehow watch videos of necessary surgery but I have a very hard time looking at plastic surgery photos. They look TERRIFYING to me and it's not like I'd think my face would be anything even remotely perfect. I can imagine things that could make it nicer but no desired change is worth all the healing I would have to deal with
I got one CC of filler and 2_3 years later I noticed my philtrum was longer. I shouldn't have got the darn filler because I only did it once and the results were minor and lasted 8 months
Your philtrum lengthens over time. It’s natural
@@beameupscotty ya but it didn't happen until after I got lip filler. I don't have one wrinkle on my face . I'm black so my skin hasn't dropped anywhere else. We age differently and I know my own body . I was absolutely the fillers that did it.
Hi lorry please could you talk about Selena Gomezs face
I didn’t know corner lip lifts were a thing.
My natural lip positions is a frown. I have to activate my smile muscles to get my lips to a neutral, straight position. It’s getting worse as I age and creating lines around my mouth.
I doubt I’d ever do anything about it, but interesting to know it exists.
I'm so glad I was naturally blessed with a nice pout but I also think big pouts don't suit everyone's face.
Same.
But if you’re born with it, it suits your face. It’s your natural features.
@@true4585 that's my point

Now that you mentioned I kinda wanna get a lip corner lift because I have "resting B face" and I'm also kinda shy and don't talk a lot so many people probably think I'm angry a lot because of my downturned mouth😅
Bella hadid’s procedures are by far the best I have ever seen
I know it was a lot of change and she was gorgeous before, but she really is so strikingly beautiful now!
Disagree. She should've stopped with the procedures in 2016, IMO. After that she entered Uncanny Valley.
Wow that’s weird. I think she looked better before.
i would agree except i do't like how her most recent rhinoplasty went. they shaved too much in my opinion
I like this direction. Well-balanced information and opinion! Thank you Lorry!
I see some examples from Dr Warwick Nettle! His lip lifts are easily the best. I cant see any scars. Whatever his suturing technique is... it's the best for sure.
Can you start a series on this? Specifically, I'd be interested in seeing the truth about fillers!

I had it done 2years ago along with a rhinoplasty and neck lipo. I don't have nice plump lips that I dreamed of or the cute nose I wanted either (he did a good job just conservative). My I am happy with the neck lipo. Can you do a video on forehead reduction????
How was the neck lipo, I know I will need lipo and lift but I haven't seen results of ppl getting neck lift lipo with the bands in neck being removed
Is there any chance Beyoncé might have gotten this procedure done? Huge fan of your videos Lorry!
Perfect timing! I'm about to get this but im nervous 😬
The risk of talking and eating funny, along with thick scarring in such a visible place makes this procedure terrifying to me
I was thinking about this but I think I’ll try filler first. Beyoncé got it done too and I don’t think it looks good.
They end up looking like they have a cleft lip.
I loooove this frequency, Lorry ❤
