My dad will occasionally shop on wish, everything is pretty hit or miss. One time, he got my mom a mini pepper spray that is made to look like a thing of perfume. I didn't know this, and being a completely intelligent 16 year old, went to see what scent the perfume was. I sprayed it on my hand, which I had held up near my face so I could smell the perfume. It turns out that one thing that wish does right is pepper spray. It obviously wasn't military grade, but it was enough to leave me coughing and in pain for the next hour and a half.

$39 for 4, 7 Ounce boxes of cereal is crazy. $34 for your first order is still crazy. I'll stick with the store bought brands.

I've never bought anything on wish but I've heard enough of these kinds of stories to stay clear. If I am going to buy cheap items I'd rather go to the dollar store and save on shipping and know exactly what I'm getting.

the reason wish never faces any consequences for their shittiness (apart from a few customers avoiding them) is that, when a customer gets fucked over, wish just steps back and says "it wasn't us, we're just the marketplace. take it up with the vendor!"
never mind that they gave the vendors all the tools they would need to be able to pull such deceptive shit on their customers; never mind that wish pretty much never does anything to shut down scammy vendors on their site.

Thankful for this video and the previous one as I was able to check and double check what I was ordering. So far, I am not disappointed by what arrived.
Honestly this happened to me when I ordered from wish. I wanted to buy a makeup brush set that apparently had 14 brushes but I received one single brush (that was also such cheap quality that i couldn't use it)

i love wish so much! When i do a bit of shopping on wish, I always check the comments under the order. Usually the comments are from people who have ordered and received the product above. Also usually a photograph of the product as well. I hope future wish videos of yours go a bit more smoothly.

My adult son orders from Wish all the time and he has had some of the same experiences as you’ve had. I told him to stop wasting his money on stuff he doesn’t need anyway, especially since he’s living with me at the moment, resulting in my expenses going up.

I once ordered a shirt from Wish that never came. They refunded me and I ordered it again, it never came! The shirt probably never existed. They did refund me a second time so that was great.
Yeah, wish and Ali express are surprisingly open with their refunds, which is especially surprising as they are probably companies that live off of people not getting a refund cause of lazyness
Makes me wonder if they are somehow making a profit---holding your payment and thousands of others while earning interest on the money until the time comes to refund your payment.

@@davis3138 seems that you've never eaten a burger. the place where your fingers gets messy is not the tip that touches the top of the bun, but the middle of your fingers where the sauces drip down as you hold the burger at a 90* angle to the floor.

In NZ there is a burger chain called Burger Fuel and they do higher end burgers (think $15 a burger) and they come with cardboard holders and they're actually amazingly useful. The amount of fillings they give you makes it hard to hold it but the holder keeps it all together.
In the ring description, you read gold-filled. That used to be pretty decent jewelry. If I remember correctly, in the Victorian era, this was very common. Jewelers would stretch gold into sheets and put a piece of common metal in between 2 sheets of gold. (So, gold .. filled with common metal ... like a sandwich. There is more gold than with gold plated and it wore well. Pocket watches were gold-filled. Here's hoping the ring you got is a decent one! 💜

Regarding mysterious addressess .. Chinese sellers often send the item with company that delivers a huge sacks of mail to some address in destination country (or continent) from which they will send it individually to you. If you will try a lamp on the package to look through layers there might be surprises underneath. I learned this from decyphering mysterious Aliexpress packages that i was not able to identify (due to the seller accidentally sending me something completely else) and had to figure out somehow what its supposed to be. Like when you order markers and receive TV remote control instead etc ...

I used to order from them too. I made the same mistake ordering the same wrenches to but I did see you had to go down the list where there was a drop down menu to choose what wrench size you wanted or the whole kit . Now there is Temu out there and they do the same thing in their adds. Just have to read everything.

I ordered a nerf gun for my son, he waited 3 months, he was checking the mailbox everyday, it finally showed up, he was so excited. The box was EMPTY! Wish did give a full refund though.

i only think i ordered a hoodie and some lock picks from wish, and they were exactly what i expected, even with the classic 25% off. The hood was just the hood with a build in scarf, and the lock picks were sturdy and solid, no picks have bent or broken.
My Dad once gave me a Harry Potter wand from Wish a few years ago. It wasn't the material that a Noble Collection wand is usually, it was cheap plastic and free. But either way, I still have it as it's the thought that counts.

I was actually (positively) surprised when I saw that you got the spy glasses and that they didn't just send you a cheap pair of plastic sunglasses that costs 2 or 3 bucks.
I ordered some stuff from wish a few years back, and it was all pretty much what I ordered. But it was mostly cheep jewelry, so I didn't expect a lot. Actually, one of tge necklesses is still one of my favorites, and I wore it pretty much 24/7 till the chain broke recently (it was one of those ball ones like you find on dog tags and cheep plastic toys)
I think wish is ok for cheep things like that, but you wave to be careful, and don't go looking for expencive stuff.
I got tired of shopping on wish and either waiting a month or longer to get what I wanted or not getting it at all which happens a lot!
Reg the Burger Holder - Here in NZ , we have a famous burger joint called “ Burger Fuel “ , were they give a free holder called “ Doofus “ . It’s a holder for the oversize burgers they sell, made of thick cardboard type paper.

I did a few of the lottery but never won them. I did get the refund.
I’ve had a couple of things that had to be returned, clothing. And, a late package was replaced. I haven’t bought much lately, and I stayed in the really cheap items. What I discovered was that a lot of the shipping isn’t refunded, in general and there’s where the profit has to be.
Being from queens and knowing where that exact address is , is HILARIOUS! 😂😂😂 I literally pass that building every day lmfaoooo .. watch your videos all the time , never thought I’d see a address I recognize

I ordered a total of 2 wireless microphone sets from Wish (receiver and 2 hand held mics) for I believe $15. They arrived maybe a month later. Actuall size, but when I put the AA batteries in, they didn’t work. I think it was meant to be a toy (kinda like the toy kitchens with toy stoves that you ladies maybe had as a kid growing up) lol
I bought my mother and I each a Stranger Things hoodie from wish when I first heard about the site and the show had just come out. I knew it was a knock off, so I wasn't expecting anything more than a cheap screen print hoodie. I wear an American small or medium, so I ordered Xtra large and large. They were toddler sized and made of acrylic or something shiny and plastic-like. And I'm not saying they were American toddler size. They were Chinese toddler size. One of my classmates got a my hero academia hoodie with 2 characters and some odd wolves... Obviously terrible quality. Even a few years back, I got a similarly crappy my hero academia hoodie for a costume of a character (the irony), and it was same thing. Crappy material, and paper thin. They probably put newspapers in it to thicken the layers. I've also seen a lot of those crappy plastic shiny material stuff, and it just screams cheap.

The biggest thing you need to keep an eye on is the shipping costs. If I remember correctly there is an agreement between China and Canada and there is no cost to actually ship

I ordered a different set of tools got one wrench ordered a air pistol got a tin sine ordered another air pistol got nothing I ordered bike motors thay where great and a green dot red dot sight love it and a CO2 pistol love it I quit ordering from them tired of not getting what I ordered or my order not showing up started ordering from them because it was very inexpensive at first but some of the products got to be just as much as going to Walmart so go to Walmart at least you can get what you want
I bought my favorite jacket off of wish it was $37 for a jacket probably worth $60 if sold in the us. The quality of the sewing is not fantastic, but the design is reflective and i get compliments on it everywhere i go. I would never even try to buy the $10 for $300 - $500 items scams though.. just gotta think logically when shopping there. i will say that the jacket picture was definitely done with the flash on, because the pictures you take with it on are dope, but they don't show what it looks like not lit up.. which still looks cool, but not nearly as crazy. Best part of the jacket is wearing it in the rain, because like reflects off the rain droplets on the jacket and it's just glowing little rainbow bubbles for days. 10/10 only regret was not buying a second cuz it's definitely gonna fall apart or wear out.

I've bought some fishing things off that wish app. You really have to read EVERYTHING carefully. I've been screwed by wish sellers a few times. They always give you a refund, but it's a pain waiting sometimes 2 months only to receive the wrong item. They told me sometimes during translation, things get translated differently

Not a joke, was looking for a 6mm wrench yesterday to install some new flight gear (somehow misplaced mine and settled for a 7mm), laughed pretty hard when I saw you pull one out of the bag and say it was useless.
Bought a mask, back when covid hit, thought it would be terrible. I had no expectations with it, I was curious. I spent i think $1.50, 4 months later got it, and it was a high quality mask. Much different from the photo, had adjustable ear loops and even the compartment for filters. The picture showed me those flimsy bathing suit feeling ones... got an upgrade, i was surprised
I bought an instax set and it was a pretty good deal, I wanted it for my new instax camera and use it during the summer. So I placed an order in May and waited. Took the entire summer just to ship it. In the middle of August, it finally arrived. 🤦♂️
