Oh, really! My fault, I searched for several portraits and constantly found these two. Next time, better research. I'll pin your comment, so others know.
Beste Ralph, weer zo’n prachtige vertolking op “ons” mooi Schnitgerorgel in Groningen. Eén van Böhm’s bekendste werken, een genot om naar te luisteren. Ik blijf je volgen….👍
You certainly know how to create magnificent organ magic with just ten stops! A fabulous performance by you, Ralph, of Georg Böhms Partita 'Ach wie nichtig, ach wie flüchtig' based on the Lutheran hymn. BRAVO!
It's fantastic to hear Böhm's music being played. I was assigned a couple of pieces of his on harpsichord and organ as a college student. Of course, you're performing his work with divine perfection and attention to every phrase, articulation points and so forth. As many have commented, you do a remarkable job of presenting each of these variations using just a few but very thoughtfully selected stops. Your skills are truly exceptional, Ralph. Thank you for sharing this work with us.
Thats a fantastic music "at the end of the busy day". One of my Highlights today. Your articulation is perfect. Could be a CD recording... Thanks for this Ralph
Well, what can I say? This is a fabulous rendition of this famous Böhm partita. Fresh and energetic! Personally I really love a particular type of crisp and clear articulation you use, which suits the music of this period incredibly well.
How gorgeous is this! I really love it. I thought I wanted to learn this work. I won't be able to play as gracefully as you do. How beautiful is this Schnitger? Bravisimo! Thank you Ralph!
Thanks! You should learn it, you could interprete this partitas in many many different ways. This is one of the finest Schnitgers in NL, although many other organ builders were involved through the years.
Here is a painting of Johann Nikolaus Forkel and some another man, not Böhm. But the music is great!

Lieber Ralph, sehr sehr schön😍
Böhm's Partita played with a beautiful schnitger is perfect.👍
Bedankt Ralph🌹
Danke, Clara!

Thanks, Graham! Less is more in this case ;)
Lieber Ralph. Einfach wieder so schön gespielt, Danke.
Danke, Thomas!
Beautiful partita! Bravo for this amazing performance, Ralph! And I find really nice the variety of registrations too.
Thanks, Émile!
Fantastic rendition of beautiful music. And with only ten stops! 😀👏
Thanks, less is more!
A wonderful rendition of this beautiful Böhm partita (which I love to play a lot...) - well done, Ralph!
Thanks, Ralf, it's a very fine partita. But his partita on 'Freu dich sehr' is even better.

Thanks, Christopher! Böhm's harpsichord music is fantastic too, some of his keyboard works sound great on organ and harpsichord.
Fantastic music and playing! Thanks for uploading Ralph 👍
Thanks!
Magnificnet! How wonderful too that a big chunk of the green monster is available - and you make GREAT use of it :)
Thanks, Jerry! Luckily this monster has some lovely sounds ;)

Thanks for your encouraging words, Markus!
Beautiful. Also I love the pictures of the church. It is part of my list of churches/organs to visit.
Thanks, Storee!
Wonderful your skill makes the voice game enchanting.👏👏👏
Thanks, Silvia!
Wonderful as always, Ralph! Baroque music sounds utterly compelling in your capable hands. Bravo!
Thanks, Paul!
It was a joy to listen to this performance. Your playing has a natural musicality which is rousing.
Thanks very much, Nils-Ole!
Amazing that you can create such nice music out of just 10 stops! Bravo Ralph!
Thanks, Vidas. I'm sure that would be no problem for you too ;)
@@RalphLooij Oh but I would need at least 11 stops hahaha!
Your music is fresh and always brings new joy! Schnitger, demo sampleset sounds so great... you're so talented! Thanks Ralph!💕💕💕
Thanks, Clara!
Such lovely colours in your registration with beautiful articulation and ornamentation, thank you!
Thanks, Marcus!
Beautifuly played Ralph !!!
Thanks, Remi!
Fantastisch Ralph. Op een demoset. Ongelofelijk. Ze zouden je de complete set moeten geven als ambassadeur! :-)
Dank, Rien! Op een demoset spelen scheelt een hoop keuzestress, je moet het doen met wat je hebt :)

Thanks, Marek! I'm glad you liked it fresh, the tempo was maybe too quick. But let's call it portrayal of the 'flüchtig' part.
Great composition and playing!
Thanks, Cristina!
I didn't know this partita, it's excellent!
Böhm was a real master of partita writing, thanks for listening!

Sehr schön gespielt amigo.
Hay variaciones muy parecidas a la Partita Ach, was soll ich Sünder machen BWV 770.
Yes indeed, Bach was certainly inspired by Böhm when he composed BWV 770, especially the 2nd and 3rd partita of 'Ach wie nichtig' are very similar.
Amazing rendition as always. Lovely and clean articulation! 👍
Thanks, Eunjoo!
Wonderful! Any idea if Georg Böhm was related to Theobald Böhm? Just curious.... maybe I should already know! 😬
Thanks, April! I don't know, but I do know that Böhm was and is a very common name in Germany.
