Very pretty Ralph! Nice that you played it lower. I’ve recorded this one for December 25 or 26. Same sample set. But, of course with the Nasard as solo. One of my most beloved stops. :-)

I’ve enjoyed your interpretation of these nice little Chorale preludes by Homilius. Another good one is his Wachet Auf.

The composer must have had plenty of coffee before he wrote this. The right hands starts with 16th notes and only stops at the end of the piece! Hahaha. Nice!

You have been showing off the wonderful sounds and colours of this fascinating instrument and its fabulous acoustic to perfection. Your registration in this piece was particularly interesting - and not one I would have ever considered. Thank you for your inventiveness and your musicianship. Greetings from Scotland.

I recall vividly at my father's church our brilliant organist Dennis Keane would play this exquisite piece as a prelude to the Christmas Eve Eucharist service.. The zimbelstern and carillon were magical and the piece set the perfect mood for the service.

Ich mag das Stück ebenfalls, es hat etwas originaeres und das Mittelalter lässt grüßen. Etwas herb und gut für den Advent brauchbar. Sehr schön.

Was für eine schöne und majestätische Interpretation dieser grossartigen Melodie. Im Grunde ist es eine Predigt für sich. Die letzte Strophe hat schon was Jazz-haftes. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Leider gibt es zum zum Gloria Patri keine prächtige Schlussstrophe.

Beautiful variations Ralph. And what an interesting story. From Arnhem to Kampen wasn’t only a shift on organ, but also in culture. And he had at least a woman pupil, also special in those days. I like his piece. It’s both accessible and interesting enough for 5 minutes. I wouldn’t have mind if it lasted a few minutes longer. Nice find!
