I just learned Jeff Beck passed away, and the first thing that popped into my head was this beautiful song of yours. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I lost the love of my life last year and understand the grieving process... beautiful music like yours has been the best medicine.

That Bass has a great sound.
So refreshing to hear someone singing with a normal, natural voice and singing from the heart........ not some cloned pop singer who sounds the same as a dozen others. Tal has a truly emotional quality to her voice. She reminds me of singers from the sixties and seventies who all had unique vocal qualities. I was first made aware of Tal Wilkenfeld on a video of her performing a bass solo with Jeff Beck ("Because We've Ended as Lovers") which blew me away. I'm a professional musician and retired music educator and I know real talent when I hear it. Tal is REAL talent.
I honestly had never heard her sing before now. I'd only seen her play with Jeff Beck. Very impressive!!

Pretty hard to keep time on bass without missing a beat, or fluffing a note while singing counter-melodies with voice. Especially for an extended length of time as in this song. Remarkable.

I had one too but it had a triangle shaped pick guard. I know I paid no more than $100 for it. It was a good bass! Kinda cool to see Ms Wilkenfeld playing one.
Man, that was a great bass....played great and sounded great. Considered a vintage item now days. Better made than most Asian instruments....

How a delicate little thing like Tal plays those thick, bass strings I will never know. I have played guitar for a long time (on and off), and believe me, when you pick up a bass guitar and play it for 45 minutes, it feels like your fingers have been slashed.

She’s such a great talent and gorgeous too! Jeff Beck was right on the money when he found her. And I still can’t believe Jeff is no longer with us. For my money he was the best and I was fortunate enough to get to see him just a few years ago. I know for sure he is still making music in heaven. Rest in peace Mr. Beck. 🎸
tonight is the first night I have ever heard of this star. been doing utube to see a bunch of her stuff.... It's going to be fun to watch her get better - I've heard some really 'out there jazz' with Herbie but that is just part of what she can do so far - I prefer rockin' blues....She has a gift.
