John Tembo Delves into the Cabinet Crisis of 1964

In 1964, when Former President of Malawi, Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda proposed that people Malawians should start paying 3 pence for health services all hell broke loose, there was a Cabinet Crisis as ministers resigned. Some say there was more to it, people had been fed up with Kamuzu's autocratic rule and keeping too much power to himself.
