I love how the first 3 parts of vita carnis are all like "Yeah, this is kinda weird but actually kinda great", then then it goes straight to "These are actually terrifying and a danger to humans".
First half of the series: "Look at these red things. They eat garbage." Second half of the series: "There is a decent chance you're being stalked by a meat zombie right now. Check your walls and furniture for breathing sounds. Don't go into the woods."
Vita Carnis jumps from “big meat snake 😮😮😮” to “lovecraftian 9 foot tall creature which stalks you for days on end and guts you while you’re off guard”
It's a bit weird how there seems to be zero action whatsoever, I'm sure if a disfigured meat species suddenly invaded from underground and started attacking people, worldwide mobilization wouldn't be out of the question..
Vita Carnis be like "Hey look at these cool weird flesh animals, aren't they neat?" and then 10 minutes later they go "Oh also, they fucking eat us, by the way"
acktually, blood gets oxygenated in the capillary, the alveoli just stores and diffuses it into the capillary 🤓 also carbon dioxide 🤓 gets diffused out of the capillary ☝ into the alveoli 🗿 but you forgot to mention that 🤓🍸
In my opinion the family getting attacked by the harvester is the darkest and most terrifying part of the entire series, the screams alone sold that scene but the imagery together with the family photo makes it even worse.
The thing I hate about the knock at 30:34 is that it only happened in my right ear, and my door, which is shut, is 5 feet to my right. It is also 4:30 in the morning at the time of me watching this video. That knock just scared away 30 years of my life.
34:30 I feel like people planted growths and harvested them everywhere and only after a while the mimics started to appear. So in other words it probably spiraled out of control for a time (because it also takes some time for the first stage mimic to enter the second stage) and now there are just a bunch of mimics around.
Probably this combined with the fact that (if I understood the video correctly) the crawl is incredibly abundant basically everywhere, so getting rid of it all or monitoring each branch would not be realistic even on the scale of a small city.
The thing I really like about this series is that the horror comes from the basic concept of us not being at the top of the food chain anymore. While the cult and the alien prince are also somewhat interesting, I really hope this series keeps its focus on that core theme instead of getting bogged down in esoteric lore and sideplots like the Monument Mythos did

Truly one of the pyro moments of all time. It’s almost as good as the time a furry yiff artist asked me on Instagram to send them a picture of spaghetti and I obliged of course.
This is one of my favorite analog horrors in recent time. Super interesting lore. It also helps that the fact u can eat the creatures and the food mind control feeds into pyro’s fat fetish.
15:41 I mean, Trimmings seem like the perfect guard pet, because a thief will be trying to break into your house in the middle of the night, hear this shit, and think to themselves "Yeah I’m out".
Honestly, im a prop and costume maker. When I originally wanted to make a horror story I basically accepted to myself "Yeah okay, I gotta learn 3d modeling, rendering and composition" but after seeing the trimming puppet and then the mimic puppet I was like "Goddamn. Why didn't I think of that."
For those of you who wanted to know what the robot that Pyro was holding is called it is a mecha robot called Grendizer it's from a very old anime called UFO Robo Grendizer
So if people are aware of the mimics in the universe, wouldnt people snuff them out? Or be far more aware and be far more cautious by making sure their house is safe when they sleep or sleep with proper protection and safety I.E. locked doors, guns/knives. I feel people would actively go out of their way to kill them to ensure safety of the people around them. I know the incompetence of the government is done for the sake of horror, but it just makes the people in the universe seem mentally unable rather than hopeless.
Yeah, that whole part with the mimics was kinda were it started losing me The Crawl and Trimming's were both introduced in a way where it's believable that humanity wouldn't go out of their way to exterminate them, so I was okay with that. But then with the Mimic and the implication that governments, communities and families just agree to a mentality of "Guess I'll die" seems incredibly silly to me I mean, one must only look at what happens when a wild predator like Wolf, Bear or larger Cat kills a person. They're usually tracked down and either killed or at the very least pushed away further from civilization Also, the whole schtick with firearms not being a deterrent to mimics is also just incredibly difficult to believe. I could see one of them potentially shrug off 9mm for a few minutes (unless you're going at it with full auto) but considering the sheer destructive power of slugs and buckshot, I don't believe for a second that *anything* made out of flesh would be able to just take it and not be seriously injured in the process. Bear's are several times the size and weight of humans and they still get messed up when shot with higher caliber weapons
@@chop25official well I mean, think about mimics like criminals. They may not think like most of the population but they’re still an active part of society nonetheless, some even lead normal enough lives to where they raise no suspicion. No matter how hard we try we will never 100% be able to stop every crime in action, in fact it’s not rare for active crimes to go on without interference leaving enough time for the perpetrators to get away. Most answers to crime are preventing it from happening in the first place. Mimics act like the most sophisticated house robbers/serial killers but on a supernatural level meaning they live outside the bounds of human capability (police interference for example) to stop those crimes. Look at all the historical serial killers who’ve done heinous crimes against humanity, gotten away with it and continued unbothered for years at a time, even after they get flagged they’re still able to go on the run for weeks maybe even months while being actively hunted. Those are humans just like me and you who however, inhuman they may act are still bound by basic human needs and are prone to making mistakes that would lead to them getting caught. Now give them supernatural powers and enhanced ability to live outside of society, outside the bounds of investigation, outside the limits of human nature that inevitability lead to being caught. Is it really that hard to imagine that kind of creature getting away with one off killings every couple days if historically we can’t even prevent fellow weak humans from doing the same probably right now as I type this?
@@r0de The reasoning behind not getting rid of the mimics is tied in with the lore around the cult likely. Also the only instance we see the area in which the mimic attacks is deep in a forest (the other is in a house which you can't tell if its in an urban or rural area). I think the mimics ARE pushed out, and heavy weaponry likely DOES harm them. Later in the series it shows that you can slow them down or disable them via shooting their head or feet. I think its a mix of manipulation and common sense in the government to release a PSA saying "If you see a weird lookin dude, pull out your 12 Gauge and pop em in the head". Also, mimic attacks are shown to be more like bear attacks, uncommon but very real. Yes they kill the bear or push it out, but people don't go out and kill all the bears. Also, mimics are shown to hide away and go into deep sleep or something to digest or whatever. Its probably incredibly difficult to find the mimic after an incident. It appears to be less of "We aren't going to do anything" and more of "Oh god, we have giant farms producing murderous meat people the happen to look like trimmings as a child, hiding in forests outside small towns and picking off people one by one, then going and hiding the forest to hibernate". I think its a combination of factors even EXCLUDING THE CULT ACTIVITY make it incredibly difficult to deal with a new threat.
36:28 you say that sarcastically but that is actually what you should do if your being randomly attacked. Often random attacks (as rare as they are) are attacks of opportunity and if you get away that aren’t likely to run you down. It’s similar to some animals they will pursue, but only for a small amount of time before giving up and looking for weaker pray.

If there was like a dangerous bloodthirsty species of creatures that isn't immune to guns the plot simply wouldn't happen because realistically humans would try hunting them all down for good
Yeah that’s my one disappointment with the series, the Mimics are literally just generic “scary lanky man come into your house and can’t be killed by weapons so ur dead lol” monsters outside of the unique appearance of the physical puppet. It would be way more interesting if they could be killed but were more cunning like skinwalkers, it wouldn’t turn into some sort of war or hunt because the whole point of creatures like this is that they’re mysterious and come out of nowhere.

As a resident all my life thank the lord nothing related to pyro will ever be that close to me
14:10 "That is how I sleep knowing I still haven't released Petscop 2"
only pyro can make a 32 min vid into a hour long slop sesh
Good ol slop
“Gemini Home Catalog”💀 2:53
Pyro can’t live in this universe because he’d love the thought of being eaten by the Mimic
Dont worry pyro, we’ll just bring up your third incident every day for the rest of your life :)
YESSS amen, so glad pyro watched this, one of my personal favorite analogs! the storybook was probably the most interesting part of this whole bit 🤞🤞
1:09 It's from Grendizer, a 70s mecha anime.
I wonder why it’s fat tho
The Crawl reminds me of that story where someone threw up a blood clot that was shaped like a lung, the image of it is pretty much identical to The Crawl.
"man coughs up blood clot shaped like bronchial tree, dies"
"The rest of the apples, banana peels and egg shells are perfect snacks"
Pyro: my tax documents 👍🏼 15:28
the door knocking was panned so well that i paused the video and waited a whole minute before resuming and then realising from pyro's reaction lmao
It's a miracle the Stream didn't got pulled when pyro showed the nipple
>Keep a bloody gun
>You have knives in your kitchen.
>Flamethrower
the trimming pet looks like something will McDaniel would make
Someone just killed the Wall of Flesh and crimson started spreading
Vita Carnis is TOP TIER. So glad he watched this.
How to avoid getting stabbed:
Step 1: Don't get stabbed
Step 2: Refer to Step 1
"babe would you still love me if i was a trimming?"
Ah yes Gemini Home Catalog. The scariest analog horror series on youtube.
Thanks for the biology lesson Dr Pyro PHD
I had no idea the areola was part of the lungs
I mean, the general chest area
Glad you finally got around to watching this! Loved this TH-cam series.
This was so scary that I felt I needed to run up the stairs after turning the light off
Inversely to Pitbulls named Princess, Pitbulls named Testicle Crusher 3000 Special Edition are the nicest dogs you'll ever meet.
BROOOOOOO the crawl anatomy looks EXACTLY like the Veins used to export blood in War on Worlds, I wonder if that's what they are based on?
" My Tax Documents " " It Looks Like A Mole Rat " GOT ME LAUGHING
I love the fact that they have interesting names for the various creatures, yet when it came to a disgusting snake that steals skulls, they just named it "meat snake".
The best dono known to mankind 35:16
35:17 Sums up the Pyrocynical fandom
"Where there is death, there are meat snakes"
I love how this is an average life for an ant irl
I hope the part of the stream where he keeps getting assaulted by censor beeps is kept in here
Yep
Pyro turning down the volume instead of complaining about it challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
@@SurfRock74 to be fair I would imagine it would’ve been hard to hear since the dialogue is already pretty quiet
Men can't find the gspot, pyro can't find the areola
pyro confusing the areola with the bronchiole is next level british intelligence
Akchuali I'm pretty sure he was trying to say alveoli which are the little sacs at the ends of a bronchiole
You nota knowing what the alveoli is is really showing the peak of American education
dude that tapping noise coming came from exactly where my window is positioned got my ass
this is so scary that I feel pyro coming inside of me 🙏
Ay yo what
lean furry?
😭📷📸
i want a trimming so bad its the funkiest little fella i've ever seen
This vid really felt like a school teacher putting a video on for students to learn from while they do whatever else
You can't go outside in this universe without powerarmor and a flamethrower
God I lov when Pyro covers my favorite Analogue Horror series because it gives them the chance to SHINE due to his platform.
Winter of 83 is another good one made for april fools but its still kinda fucked up and I think he'd enjoy it!
30:36, I had to rewind that clip cause it spooked me too. I legit looked around my room, scared.
Vita carnis final entity is just thicc pyro.
love how he went for the trimmings to "look how fucking disgusting that is" and then "aw, look how adorable it is"
