This is an amazingly quick exercise to improve the movement of the hip flexors. Whenever I mentioned to PT’s my problem with walking due to flexor damage, they all poo-pooed the problem and could provide no remedies. I could tell the difference in walking after one set. I am working up to more sets, spreading them throughout the day.
Hi MS Gym Team, thanks for sharing the link to this drill in on of the other comment sections! I’ve tried it out right away. Quick question: does the bottom leg need to be fully stretched out or can it be slightly bent? Doing the exercise with a stretched leg I’m having a very hard time not to tip over with every back and forth arch movement. Plus it hurts my hip bone. Thanks in advance for your advice! I drag a toe intermittently when I jog. I think it’s a combination of having a hard time maintaining higher knees and lifting my feet towards my butt. It is not so much foot drop in my case. Do you have any videos on running in particular?
Each time I try to do this, my leg would straighten up and I can't bend it back. Seems like I have terrible spasticity plus horrible nerve damage throughout my legs. My hamstrings are gone too. 😢
I can relate , same here. I like the simplicity of this however long gone are the days of getting up and down on the floor....well, going down is not a problem. Good timing for the video
