My dad had informed my brother that shortly prior to his cancer diagnosis that he had asked God to do whatever necessary to get him back where he needed to be with the Lord. He was diagnosed with ALL. The kind he had 1 in some thousand get it We buried him 2 1/2 years later I believe God accomplished exactly what dad had asked for. Along the way, through the grace of God, he showed his family of 4 exactly what mattered Get right with the Lord, you never know when your tickets going to be called.
God doesn't have to heal us. That is not why we follow him. We follow him because he is The Creator. He is the ultimate authority. The reason we reject Him is because we believe that we are God and we are nothing. We have no control over life and death. Matt has chosen to live his life for the glory of God. Matt and his wife pastor a huge church which is why he proclaims the gospel even in his suffering. Matt was healed, but even if he wasn't, the glory would point to our Father in heaven!
