  • This video demonstrates the loading of all nine bubble plates in a 4" Crystal Dragon™.
    We see the plates getting active from top to bottom, a pan across the still, and a close-up view of the bubbling action.
    Please excuse the poor video quality. It's the content that matters!

      Yes it is. Have you seen the other video with a Crystal Dragon with 16 bubble sections?

    Should be around one meter, Lloyd got the allthread connecting rods with one meter length, and no sawing off was needed for 9 glass sections. Have a look at the respective forum discussion.

      Hello Lee, as you can, this video has been uploaded quite some time ago and is not really an official company video (which have been made by StillDragon North America LLC since then). If you have any questions about what is shown in any of the videos in our StillDragon® Community TH-cam Channel, please visit our international forum at www.StillDragon.org for more information, because our community members do not participate here in TH-cam comments. Listening to those car horns makes me happy I don't live in the city.

      Yes, that's right. That amateurish video was made a long time ago, it was more about the content than the surroundings. There are a lot of videos from StillDragon® users nowadays and if the topic is of interest for you, have a look at the StillDragon® Community Forum at www.StillDragon.org for more insight.

      That controller was built by a member of the StillDragon® Community Forum but I don't recall the details (it was a long time ago and I'm just the forum administrator, not a user or the creator of that video), have a look at www.StillDragon.org for more insight.

    I personally do not buy into this bullshit of bagging people or innovators like the Crystal Dragon Community. Good on to them. As I see it they offer a different path for the people who follow the craft to follow. Weather you run an old pressure cooker and a copper tail in a bucket or you have a really flashy set up the goal is the same. We are all CHASERS OF THE CRAFT and are brothers. Fortunate for us we live where this is legal. Share the information and welcome us aboard we are all mates here.

      Not sure what you mean by that. It's not the Crystal Dragon™ Community but StillDragon® Community, and something like this was a real innovation as it brought industrial reflux technology down to modular DIY tech.
      It's not a different path, but made it accessible even for those not able to work with raw materials, but more something like LEGO for distillers.
      Please have a look at our StillDragon® Community Forum at www.StillDragon.org where you will find a vast amount of information about the "StillDragon® Way Of Doing Things" and distilling in general.

      @@StillDragonORG That is exactly the point I was making. The comment made saying that the gear was overpriced merch from China was a cheap shot.

    • @StillDragonORG
      @StillDragonORG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@smartypants5036 It's not overpriced at all and it's not just some random merch from China. You can ask actual users about it, for example the following comment has just been made recently:
      www.stilldragon.org/discussion/comment/68106/#Comment_68106
      Just because something is made in China doesn't mean it's "cheap" or that you are better off by buying a knock-off from a copy-cat.

    Stilldragon is overpriced chineese produced stuff...

    • @StillDragonORG

      Dear Kalle, it is absolutely no secret that StillDragon products are made in China (and for a reality check, pretty much everything is made in China nowadays). What you most likely forgot to consider is that StillDragon stands for original development, development costs that have to be covered. Others who try to steal a piece of that cake are just cheap copycats with knock-offs. StillDragon is where innovation begins and ends. The StillDragon Distribution Network is hard at work trying to offer the best possible prices for the best possible service, but it's not as simple as just black & white. StillDragon User Group Thinking about "stealing a bit of the cake"..hmm..the flutedesign..wasn't that originaly made by Old dog? Well..anyway..your stills seems to produce very fine spirits..so that counts..

    • @StillDragonORG
      @StillDragonORG  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kalle Klæp Dear Kalle, there may be resemblance in overall design, but StillDragon stands for making it all modular. A lot of items are custom designed, others are regular standard. I may be the wrong person for such a discussion, but FYI @olddog is an active member of the StillDragon Community, have a look around at https:/www.StillDragon.org for more information.
