I try my luck at the old Park with the Deus 2 metal detector with only needing 3 more silver coin before I hit my 50th it would be great if I could get there by the end of the year.
Nice to see someone knows how to dig a grass plug properly. 3/4 around and flapped over allowing the grass to recover and not leave dead, horse shoe rings, all over the place. Some good pre-decimals there bud. My fields are calling, so must get out soon, now my flu is over ;-) All the best bud and HH.
Hey matey. 😃 Shame you didn’t get your silver but you had plenty of lovely green’uns!! 💖 Always nice to end on a coin, even a 1p. Expertly done plugs btw. 👍🏻 ATB and be lucky.
Thanks dude. Yeah I feel quite privileged to live in a party of the country that allows it well you have to pay but £30 for the year you can't grumble really
Dan. On my local council website (Sheffield). It says detecting is not allowed in areas managed by Parks and Countryside. It doesn't however say which areas they are? @@DIRTDIGGERDAN
@ajsimmo6788 Hi mate hope your well. I phoned them and asked for them to clarify this a long time ago as it didn't even mention metal detecting on the website. But basically they do not allow detecting on any land owned or managed by Sheffield City Council property buzz killer's they are.
Hi just a quick question. Are we aloud to detect park areas and grassed playing field s I was always under the impression we were not aloud. some1 clarify ?thank you
Like anywhere you need permission from the land owner I'm lucky that my council will let you under a permit scheme. Your best option is to contact your local council and ask them if they have a metal Detecting policy.

The brass item at 14.50 is a Ward from a lock.A number of these stacked together are raised by the key to open then lock.
Cool thanks I thought it looked like something lock or key related now thats makes sense.
