- Well it was time to get out for the first perch session of the river season. The aim was to try and get one over 2lb, but in the summer that can be quite tricky! I was using aggressive shads hitting the slack areas. It didn't help when the weed cutting started, but that seemed to push the bigger fishing into the margins as id soon find out!

Handsome chap on that t-shirt 😍
But y 😂
😂👌🏻
😂😂😂😂
Took me a minute to remember you actually have this channel 😂
@The_ginger_fisherman did you lose a bet?😂
9:20 it actually appears to me its the same pike. check the split in the left front fin and the markings on its gill plate, pretty cool that it stuck around and still went for the lure after you'd already released it
Yep, split on the left pec and right pelvic fins. It was the same fish.
Agree, same fish - not the brightest croc in the everglades!
I'd like to see you fish for perch in Denmark/Netherlands where Carl caught that 6lb perch. Anyone else like to see this happen? 👍
Loved the chanel for years, great to see it grow with I'm guessing an American audience. Words like "trophy" and "creak" obvs help. But genuinely more power to you!! Blessed with some amazing fishing opportunities that are filmed and produced in an extremely entertaining and professional manner. Long live the ginger fishermen!!❤
Favourite fishing channel by far. Good job Chris 👍🏼
lookin your videos at the evening is like little holidays. thank you very much for your content. really relaxed, puristic fishing with a maximum of passion in it❤
G'day Chris, awesome session again. The Chub and perch were fantastic, all the best form down under mate 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Superb fishing Chris! 🔥 Some cracking Perch there!

Well done yet again Chris.

Loving the constant uploads
Fantastic session. Thanks for sharing 😅.
Lovely bit of chilling fishing Chris. Would give anyone a buzz .
Another fantastic River adventure Chris 👍 Great T-shirt 🎣 tight lines 😉
beautiful perches, I wish I could get big perch like these around here more frequently. My record was 35cm.
Great video Chris,T shirt made me Laugh 😂
Great session, I really need to get out and do some smaller lure fishing soon!
Cracking T shirt Chris 😆
Awesome Chris! Your river's Perch look amazing in the summer. Such fabulous markings and colours. I'm not suprised you got a few of those takes near the surface. Until the dumb EA ruined your day those were almost perfect summer lure fishing conditions. All fish love to hunt in the sunshine.☺ I can't help noticing, that the beach/small weir pool swim always seems to produce Pike for you. It's a definite go to swim for an Essox.😆
Another lovely video!
Nice vid Chris as usual you never dissapoint m8
Nice one Chris 👍
love to see it! Just makes me want to hit the rivers for those perch
Excellent session!
Good video bud Av have some lovely sized perch on smallish poppers ace to watchin thm come up and hit on top
Perch was the 1st fish I ever caught, almost 40 years ago. Always have a soft spot for this species, never really caught them on Lures though, always red maggot or worms.
Inspiring stuff though, definitely going to give Lure fishing a go on my local waters =)
Great video again nice T-shirt keep them coming always quality watch can only imagine what it like to fish waters were you can actually see the fish lol
Top session, top video, top lad..!
"BANG", Smashed it, Crushed it and Nailed it 🐟👍
Mate love the T-shirt had me in stitches 😂. Time for some payback me thinks 😉😉
Hi Chris
just an idea for some content when I was a young chap in the Navy based at RNAS Yeovilton I often went to the river Yeo after work which ran close to the base and fished free lined slugs for the chub I think the method could work really well in your local clear rivers - good luck !
Steve
Love the frog tat!
Love the t-shirt❤👍🏼
Perch seemed to have a wound or an ulcer on it's side, maybe get a treatment spray for your catches :)
He's got some - seen him use it before. I think he didn't see the ulcer.
That t shirt with DB is jokes 🤣🤣🤣
Great fish again ! Pity about the weed rafts E.A sports its in the game 😂😂
Thanks for sharing.
Next time I'm back home in the uk I should pay your fishing spots a visit :)
Another great video Chris. I particularly enjoyed your tee, are you trolling LMAB UK? 🙃
Lucky they cut weed on your rivers ,they leave ours until completely choked, they’ve never cut the gipping near us in my memory 🤦♂️
Nice perch there ,I’ll have a go this weekend now lol
got to love the shirt :D
Amazing video Chris love to see you doing well on the rivers, don’t suppose you know why Dan hasn’t posted in 3weeks do ya???
Loving the T-shirt
Love the t-shirt...... 😂😂
Wicked vid .. hope the nippers doing well
Love the T shirt 👕 😂
Great video as always! Interested to know what fluorocarbon you use?
Chris I love the videos but when talking about the fish can you include the weight aswell ??
Got a question can you fit a polarizing filter to your GoPro so we can see what you see? A lot to ask but good videos I miss the fishing in the uk
Another cracking video, what was that mark on the side of that last pirch you caught
That's the same jack pike, check the markings around both pikes eyes lol. And that big perch looks like it's had a lamprey feeding on it, just wondering what the wounds from?
Spot on vlog exceptional river can I ask what make is the landing net handle cheers
love the t-shirt 😂
Great videos, any chance you can mount the go pro a little lower i want to be able to see the full actions you use on the reel.
What polarising glasses do you use Chris?
As a Lake Erie fisherman, I’m so jealous of these perch lmfao. And ours get pretty big. Ares are primarily a meat fish, not a game fish. But still, this is epic
Nice shirt!
Ace mate
A 42 is a 42!!! V nice indeed!!!
Whats with the t-shirt lol great vid😂
What a T Shirt!! 😂😂😂
Great T-shirt lol
Hi! Nice video, I'm starting to follow your channel it's really awesome. what handle for the net did you use? Is it pushed with spring? I saw that it's Daiwa n`zon, but I am a newbie in Daiwa goods so it's uneasy to find the whole name of it. Thank's
Always enjoy catching perch or atleast I use to, not sure if the abandoned 19th century lime stone quarry still has any in there but I caught some monster's there my pb was 2lb 12oz which may not sound huge but I was told by most standards it was well above average, also it it was milting so maybe the stocked perch may have endured, my friend said he was up there with his mum for a walk and she saw a terpin and when he went to look he said oh I see it over there! But he wasn't looking at the one she saw, I'm thinking someone couldn't handle the smell and upkeep of the tank so they let em loose rather than kill them but I don't think they'll survive a British winter.
Looks like the perch at the end had been almost a heron or cormorants dinner at some point.
You should do some catch and cook vlogs, if you’re not into coking, perhaps your wife could do the cooking . A 2 lb perch steamed or grilled with a buere blanc sauce 😋
Hi Chris, really enjoying your videos, what is the brand and name of the landing net pole you are using?
Newbie to lure fishing, but why are you not using a trace if pike are around the area?
What caused that large wound on that large perch? Great video's by the way.
liking the t-shirt
Love the vids mate came across you about a week ago what rod and reel would you recommend I’m just starting out on lures price range is £159-£180 for both mate
Interesting to see what t-shirt LMAB UK is wearing on his next vid! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That t shirt!😂
The environment agencys new moto, "destroying habitats since 1990"!
What net are you using here? I could do with a long extendable one like that 👌
Best fishing content on TH-cam!
Hi Chris, was that stinging nettle on on the edge of the river bank.
I love how dark that fish was 10:40
Went over a mad looking peice of river today it was the river trent was stood on a giant weir water fall thing looked like pure death if you fell in but looked perfect for a giant pike or somert
Underrated channel 😒
What fluorocarbon were you using in the video? Like what brand and name of fluoro? Amazing video
Yes new waters would be good.
Great content and amazing action shame about being ginger lol
The environment agency clear the weeds in your river? My local river hasn’t been cleared or dredged in years since some volunteers stopped
Do you use fluorocarbon leader instead of wire trace?
Brilliant watching you top fisherman what landing net and handle are you using?
I asked same question on his last video, no answer but it's forgivable cos he's mad busy filming his cracking fishing sessions, but, I did actually notice what handle it is and it's the diawa nzon telescopic... I'll be gettin me one of those for sure..! Tight lines..!
Best Regards from F'n'F Family Lincoln U.K
What landing net handle do you use I’m fishing steep banks and need a light but small landing net pole
Ginger! What cameras do you use?
using 2g mepps spinner is a fishing cheat, always catch decent chub, jacks, perch at start of summer but i do love a paddle tail
What's your go to quick and easy knot when you tie on a new lure?
Chris when your using fluro as a leader what length is ideal?
Not sure there is an 'ideal' as such. I've seen a few YT anglers asked this and they all say they tie a long leader, say 4-6ft, which gives plenty of opportunities to re-tie if you change rig or get snagged. I've found no issue with casting even when the leader to mainline knot has been sat in the spool.
What rod should I buy to start pike fishing
Hi!
what kind of net do you have and where can you get it?
Have you caught them on top water?
What landing net pole do you use ?
How are your casting fluorocarbon?
Where did you get that landing net🤔
Do you get zander in the rivers you fish 🐟 🤔?
