Sounds like you have some fun book plans coming up. Looking forward to it. My mammoth book WAS the Barbra Streisand bio, which is so interesting, but my library copy came due before I could finish it. It’s like 980 pages! Good thing I don’t mind reading in segments! I might try Oliver since Believe in Yourshelf is reading it❤

For me, a great book has characters and plot that haunt me or stays with me long after I read it. A good book entertains me - has a fun plot - can be fast moving or a slow sensuous read (uses the English language cleverly) - has an interesting backdrop for the characters OR just fun characters. A SO SO book is an easy unmemorial read. A bad book is a book I have to force myself to finish. CS Lewis's The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe series comes to mind for me on my bad book list. Such tiny books took me a month each at least to read them. And they are so highly thought of.

Im glad you reviewed the lost bookshop. I was considering buying but I think I’ll try getting it from the library. I love Moby Dick but I haven’t finished it. I started it last year after avoiding it. Honestly the first part of this is really great but why don’t I finish it! You have inspired me to try again. Lol
