I love your movie math videos because you highlight the business aspects in Hollywood and no one else does that, and you do a damn good job at it. Please do more of it, I would love to see a breakdown video of the major studios... or possibly how some once revered studios are now no more
I actually think Disney should begin looking to the rides for inspiration. A proper Haunted Mansion movie (Eddie Murphy one is not counted), an It's a Small World movie, etc. If they do a good job with it, like the first Pirates movie, it could turn out really well.

Deadline hollywood made a survey about how movie goers are dwindling as the years go buy and it's not because of streaming but the prices of the movie tickets which is causing that. It also goes on to that people that watch streaming shows are the ones that are likely to go to the cinemas.
Agreed. If Vin and Dwayne can get over whatever it is (I haven’t kept up with the backstory), it would be good for the series. FF is at its best when we see all of these fun-to-watch actors together, not having some of them randomly missing from certain movies when it could have been averted, which only undercuts the strength of the films.

Hobbs and Shaw’s budget should have been significantly lower. Three John Wick movies have been made for a combined total that still doesn’t touch the $200 million that they spent on this. If the studio knew it wasn’t going to make as much as a Fast movie, WHY ON EARTH would they greenlight this with the budget of a Fast movie? Slash this budget in half and these results would be touted as a win and we would have heard a sequel announcement by now. Blows my mind.

My husband and I are subscribed to HBOgo, Netflix, Hulu (without commercials), Amazon Prime and we are planning on getting Disney+. We also have TH-cam without ads. We think it’s gotten out of hand but aren’t sure were to cut. We also recently got the Regal unlimited pass. We were going about once a week to see a movie so when signed up as soon as it became available. It’s $22 a month each but we’ve already used it 5 times since we got it 2 weeks ago. Ticket prices here are about $12 for a standard 2D evening showing.

I saw Good Boys on Friday and it was hilarious....my favorite scene is the one involving the boys in a frat house. ROFL I've had Ready or Not catching dust on my movies-to-see schedule and can't wait to finally see it next weekend....

Blinded By The Light was my favorite, but Good Boys was excellent too. Thinking of switching over to Regal’s service as their rewards system is vastly superior to AMC’s.

Does anyone use AMC A-List? I’m so tempted to sign up for it because there’s an amc right next to where I live but I hardly have any free time so I can really only go see a movie like once or twice a month. And the fact that they’re so expensive is off putting.
If you love movies.... *A LOT,* then it's perfect. I see my 3 movies on the same day, because I can sit & enjoy for that long without getting tired or annoyed (but that's just me). A-List is also incredible because premium formats are all included! IMAX, Dolby, etc. Membership cost is roughly what one of those night tickets would cost! So long as you see more than one movie a month, you get your money's worth. I love IMAX, so I figure, "Why just buy the one ticket when I could get membership?"
RE: Star Wars - Its the last entry in the new trilogy (and potentially the Skywalker saga), so I think it will do well regardless. It also has the Darth Sidious/Palpatine tease.

I dont have a monthly movie pass, mostly because I have 2 small children and require a babysitter. So we stream a lot. Our streams are amazon, hulu and Netflix, we're getting rid of Netflix once Disney+ launches.
