Lashana Lynch will only be 007 at the beginning of the film, when James Bond is in retirement. He then comes out of retirement. The article even states that producers are still looking for an actor to take over the franchise after Craig.
I know, make the Dragon riders of Pern series already. Would be so epic now that graphics can handle it. Heck even the Ammonite Planets would be epic and original.
Even if they didn't cross $1B, there's no reason to believe that they're in a place where they can produce good live action Spidey movies. Yes Venom did well, but there's plenty of opportunity for them to fall flat again. They should keep this deal, try to negotiate a Sony-verse Peter Parker or Miles for live action; a character that can appear in their spinoffs.
Really WB should be giving Disney a real run for their money with great superman, batman, Harry potter and Lord of the rings spin off movies but unfortunately they're idiots

Andrew M I was impressed based on the budget and relatively unknown actors. The special effects were much better than some other movies with higher budgets, and the lead actress was honestly the best part of the movie. Very tense as well with the atmosphere they set up. To me at least.

I don't think it will but I'm really pulling for Aladdin to hit a billion. They deserve it especially because it was one of the underdogs of the Disney movies this year that people thought would flop and I'm glad it didn't.
Why not? it doesn't represent a horizontal or vertical monopoly. I know that people like to throw that term around, but they don't know what they're talking about. For example, Apple, which is a bigger company than Disney (btw) isn't a monopoly, it has plenty of competition. Disney's competitors include two huge corporations that own not only studios, networks, their own/soon be own streaming services, but also ISPs, which actually ARE monopolies. And regarding that cherry-picked headline Grace used about TLJ, that was just that one film, and given how crappy Solo did, it's doubtful they'll get that for TROS. LOL. And theatre chains did stop showing TLJ in favour of more Jumanji and Greatest Showman, showings, because those films were in demand more in the long term.
It's their movie anyway, I doubt anyone outside of marvel care. I'm sure Disney would like to advertise the sequel as the sequel to the biggest movie of all time

Comic-con just makes no sense for the "smaller" studios, anymore. They can't afford to waste money on an event that's not guaranteed to increase the profits on their films. They have to keep ever bit of money they can, to spend on things that will actually boost their Box Office Earnings.
Even then that’s a huge jump from what it was last week! So it’s great. Either way the movie is a success. It can only make more from here. But I cannot wait to see people call it a failure because it did not make a billion.

"Quality" is a relative term but this industry was about taking risks and telling a diverse range of stories, not just rehashing what was done before.
I like the idea of moving Spider-Man to a TV Series. Then only have occasional solo & Avengers films where something big is happening. That way we could get more of the friendly neighbourhood & some of the smaller scale/wackier villains.

Gracie agree with you completely. Aladdin's one of the best films of the year. Forget the critics - this is going to be remembered as a classic, with real heart and a sense of pure joy, not a soulless live remake like many of the other live reimaginings. So glad it's nearing a Billion. It's getting the respect it deserves.

There's nothing else though... You give money to the mouse or no movies worth watching in cinema. There are good movies, but they are not worth the ticket to see in cinema. I recently went to see Spidey and was super satisfied with the experience and it is nice knowing that whatever the case y will go and be satisfied. I went to Shazam and it was 3 hours wasted for me.

I believe that studios are suffering from great content. Disney has a massive array to play on nostalgia which has brought them success. Will see which studio can actually defeat the mouse house if it ever can. But keep it up Grace, love your content!
I saw Far From Home yesterday and thought it was good. Better than Homecoming and definitely better than Captain Marvel. The end credits scenes were crazy. But it did have an Iron Man 2 story to it.

Glad that The Farewell had a great start. Despite the reviews, I'm still going to see TLK this weekend and I'm planning on maybe seeing it 3x. I really enjoy the live-action remakes because I watched Aladdin 4x already with a possible 5th.
Remember how Grace downplayed Homecoming's box office eventhough it turned out to be the highest grossing cbm of 2017 worldwide? Well she's doing it again with Far From Home. I think it stems from the fact that this iteration of apider man took a lot from the miles morales version and she's a sucker for that character.

I don't put a whole lot of stock in RT scores, but I do take it into account a little. Not as much as audience scores and Cinema scores

She played Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel and will take over as 007, prob for only a small part of the film. Criag is still THE 007.
