Here's where I got my info. The 1.8 PCM pinout is very similar to the 1.6. www.trackjunkies.org/manuals/ I went through the diagrams and made a pinout for my PCM: tinyurl.com/y7t534rj There might be some differences depending on your specific PCM. On mine, the rad fan would run continuously. Eventually I tracked it down to a failed MOSFET on the PCM board. I swapped it with the condenser fan MOSFET and it's worked ever since. So keep that in mind! What's yours going into?
@@joeturner3645 Did you have any issues with the immobilizer on the ECU? The ECU won't send the signal to the ignitor to give it spark... I'm thinking thats why mine won't start, everything else is good.
@@Nino-cc9ns I was worried about that but mine didn't have an immobilizer. I think mine is a '99 or '00 JDM ECU; do you know which one you have? Mine also doesn't have a separate ignitor, I think it's integrated into each coil.
"Finished" is a strong word, but it's been in a 1970 MGB GT since 2019. It's been dead reliable, very fun, appropriate for the car and gets 40-45 mpg! Here's an incomplete build thread that I should update at some point: www.mgexp.com/forum/mg-engine-swaps-forum.40/mxbgt-miata-swapped-70-b-gt.4149397/
@@OEMPartHaus Ah, I figured you might have come from there. I imagine you've also seen Valvecovergasket's swap? www.flickr.com/photos/valvecovergasket/albums/72157630925710802 Regardless of your approach, I highly recommend it unless you're after big power or car show cred.
Great Video! I also bought the same JDM engine for a swap... happen to have any wiring diagrams for it you can share?

@@joeturner3645 Thanks a lot for the links!! Going to try and start it on the pallet. Its going into a 67 Volvo 122S.
@@Nino-cc9ns Great choice of recipient vehicle. Don't forget to make a startup video!

Did this project ever get finished?

@@joeturner3645 Yep, that's where I originally saw it. I have a B GT of my own and I am considering engine swaps now.
