Love the McKenna tie in. Time-Wave was right on after all.

Really great and interesting video! Perhaps we'll rewatch it in the future with nostalgia when AGI is achieved :D

A really nice video about the path to singularity in AI advancement.
Indeed, we're just in a fraction of the lifespan of our planet.
    Thx for sharing these thoughts!

I wonder what would happen if we found a way to upload our consciousness into the AI and became 1.

I suspect you won’t need to wonder for too long a time

Our consciousness as we know it no longer exists in my opinion. Free will is gone.

Our conscious would be a drop in the ocean making us basically not exist.

I'd maybe be eager to digitize myself, but not integrate myself into a hive-consciousness. Even if it’s a lesser existence

I can confirm that ai is at a point now where it's a better wife than my wife

Ai Algorithms? Maybe. But with swell robotics everywhere, Ai jobloss is the only thing I worry about anymore. Anyone else feel the same? Should we cease Ai?

Interesting. I think one of the jobs that will not be easily replaced by AI is manual DFIR. In digital image forensics there exist certain scenarios where a human is more able at visually inspecting the byte order and placement of the binary code in order to unravel hidden data. Steganography analysis is one such field. AI is not yet able to tackle this because it's not all about detecting and reversing an 'algorithm', but rather, tapping into human intuition and motive. I've been at this for 2 years already and our current AI is nowhere close at getting this right. Just thought I'd mention that aspect. Cool video though :)

it will get better at anything that we do sooner than you think. Taking a look at what is not "as good" as humans, it's just ignoring the reality, and yes it will replace a lot of jobs, that doesn't mean you will get out of the market there will be new jobs, or the same ones empowered by AI.

Seems to me that we are _always_ at the end of History by definition...
