- According to the Contra Costa County Public Defender's Office, nearly half of Antioch’s police department was involved in the racist and homophobic text chains that have rocked the entire community. Stephanie Magallon reports.

Antioch, CA is racist at the core. No surprise it use to be a sundown town! The feds were investigating these officers. The police were going after Chinese in our community and had to apologize now this. The community is so diverse yet this. The Mayor has delt with so much yes he had a DUI. The people of the city kept him in after. No turning back. But those officers need to go there is no deflection from that. So Antioch can move forward.

The murder and assault should be looked into closely not just dropped on a technicality. That’s scary to have them back in the streets seeking revenge. Maybe case by case, any police officer or high officials know this has been a culture for many years
The problem is All of the cases are now tainted because of these officers. They will get off on default. It is those officers who have put everyone in danger now because dangerous criminals may be released. On the other hand people that are innocent yet set up by bigoted officers will go free. It's a mix bag. They have caused this.
P.s. If they go case by case they could be sitting there for years and years. There are people that have been imprisoned that have DNA proving their innocence yet they are still sitting in prison unable to get out because the. States and cities will not spend the money to go through the cases.
There are rape kids waiting for years and years to have the testing. Just not enough resources to get it all done.. In other words there's not enough resources to take these cases one by one. It will default to a technicality most likely and they will be set free.

Most deeply racist people prefer to work with, live with and interact with people of like mind. Those in charge of hiring will feel out prospective hires for signs of common feelings and attitudes about groups of people like them. Back In the day a proclivity for violence and racist feelings were a requirement. They hire their friends, family members and neighbors who they can trust to keep their attitudes on the down low. Still true in many parts of u.s. today, especially in small towns in the deep south. Towns thousands of black people turned up missing just travelling through for a hundred years
