    I really hope they take his case seriously... Men can be victims of sexual abuse and harassment too and we shouldn't discredit him just because he's a man, let alone a cop.

      @idaslpdhr Sometimes, people who are being groomed don't recognize it for themselves. But can call it when it happens to other people. The same goes for domestic violence victims. It's easy to see that a man or woman is being abused. But when it happens to you, your senses are shut off. I feel bad for him. He is going to need therapy, and that young man was terrified.

      Yes! My dad left his great paying job because of something like this. He had to stay in his RV because it was out of town. His "neighbor" was a coworker and came over. My dad opened the door and the guy started attacking him. My dad, that had recently had a heart attack, fought as hard as he could. The guy told him he was going to f him or kill him. My dad got away outside to his truck. Called 911 and his work friend down the road. The police didn't even take the guy in. And they left MY dad's id in that guys RV and he had to go get it. His boss made him come to his house for the week. They said that he wouldn't have to work with that guy and the next day the other boss had them at the same spot. My dad quit. They begged him back and put him in another state and gave him a huge raise. I was ready to go to Texas and throw down on the little Paris, TX police department. I still say dad should have sued.

    I am a US Army Infantry veteran and decades after my time as a soldier was working all over the world on Ships and Oil Rigs as a paramedic.
    I was put in a similar position. I had to barricade myself in the clinic and call Human Resources and they had the Captain of the ship escorted off the ship in Spain.
    I am a fairly big man, and stay in the gym. This was utterly humiliating. As bad as I wanted to physically injure this freak, I didnt want to create an international incident while thousands of miles from home. I was never at any risk of any real assault or injury... It was just the humiliation and the audacity that someone thought they could get away with acting that way in the workplace while a ships captain.
    He resigned rather than face an investigation. The client got rid of medics on that vessel, so I basically lost my position there. I worked for about 4 more months before quitting and moving away from the United States. I should have taken them the court... But the humiliation was just too much to bear.
    This stuff does happen. The victim here resorted to violence, and I dont blame him... But look at how messed up his life is now. I locked myself in a room with a random employee I grabbed as a witness because I was afraid I was gonna kill this guy. My heart goes out to him. Sorry for what you went through😥; Thank you for surviving and seeking therapy; Some become and stay the thing they feared and hated; Some, even in conscious revenge that if they had to go through it, then so should others and set about destroying young men, just as how some women/wives turn a deaf ear to the cries of their daughters being abused by their husband, the child's own father/step/boyfriend for they had to go through it so why shouldn't she😭 or even him (a boy), in addition, of course, to the other reasons of fear of physical abuse for themselves.
      Solution?
      Freedom of mind from Fear! Cry out loud for help! Call out fire🔥 if able to during and, most definitely, afterwards, run, bawl, cry out butt naked if you have to/bring down all attention on what happen to you and by who!!! Don't love them more than yourself - Rat them out!!!! Don't fear their threat of harm to you or your family; DRAW ATTENTION!
      I applaud this cop shooting off somebody's balls and draw the attention of the nation and world! He has been in hell 'cause of the blue code.
      There is, actually, hardly anybody one can cry to for help - not police, not Church, not school, not nowhere 'cause these hells are rampant everywhere, but Cry out anyway! God will let somebody hear and come to your rescue;
      These awareness should be taught in and from kindergarten/nursery school, though I mention you can hardly cry to the school for help, especially now when it takes up teaching perversions - Lawd God HELP! Gay panic defense is very commonly used in violence against LGBTQ community. In this case , there seems to be some disagreement / fight, and the guy who shot says it was an unwanted advance. Fair enough. But again use of fatal force to diffuse this situation and then the hysterical 911 call is not expected from a professional. It makes it dubious. Still not discrediting the guy entirely. It could even be sexual abuse but still premeditation involved in the murder.

      Basically out of fear of isolation, alienation, termination, penalization etc.. It's hard for you to recognize the issue bc it's a man, but if you put a skirt on it, I'm sure it'll become clearer to you perhaps. Bc the term grooming literally goes along the lines of events that have occurred over time. Being that his complaints were ignored purposely, as well as those same complaints not being readily available for review, goes to show you how they're operating in the department as a whole. So even if he left or gotten terminated, then it could be harder for him to obtain employment in other departments nearby. But back to the grooming. When someone has this goal in mind, they'll do things like play mind games, give, then take, leaving you and your judgement in the balance. Soon as you think that spell has passed, then outta nowhere, BOOM 💥, there it is again. And being that he was drinking, it only enticed the situation even more, and that bravery was boldly displayed outside when he pushed him, and he smiled. I wouldn't be surprised if that turned him on even more, and that supported him being even more aggressive with his approach. Which ultimately led to the young man's fear at that time. In my opinion

A gay man trying to rape a man in the American army is like a black man hanging around with the KKK, it's never going to happen. I remember years ago I heard(forgot some of the details but I know the basic main idea of the story) where the American military and another country's military had to coexist with each other in a foreign country, and this other country's military came from another country where being gay is looked at as normal and gays have full equal rights in that country. The American military didn't like that the other military is acting like being gay is normal and tried to start a fight with that military group.

When you're so selfish you claim victim to every single thing including the sound of a chair. They're so selfish that they use their victim card as a way to control people and ultimately kill people just like Ted Bundy.

      I wish the public could experience this type of empathy for women who are victims of sexual abuse and assault, instead of accusing them of being whores and liars and supporting the abuser, even though there is never any evidence for these accusations against women or any examples where this has ever happened. It is brutally hard and humiliating and is abusive itself to report crimes like this, so the idea people do it flippantly to ruin a man's reputation is preposterous.

      @@courtykat actually I've been in many situations where people of both sexes have made me uncomfortable and I def wouldn't have been at a bar having dinner, especially alone, with them after the fact. And then henceforth I make a point to never put myself in, or to remove myself from, any situation that might send them the wrong signals or create opportunity for them to do it again. I've also never felt it necessary to shoot someone for simply coming on too strong on occasions where I did end up a similar scenario. He skipped a whole lot of steps that should've come before shooting him. And to make it clear, I'm not defending the SGT in any way. Just think the kid made bad choices, handled the situation wrong, and ended up hurting himself more than the person who was actually in the wrong.

      There is currently a huge class action lawsuit in Canada, where I live, against various police precincts by dozens of former female officers who could not stay on the force due to the unbelievable abuse they suffered day in and day out. The depositions made me sick to my stomach. I thought I knew what sexual harassment- and abuse was, but I didn't know how bad it can be, especially in a setting where the perpetrators are above the law and lie to cover it up with impunity. These women tried to put a stop to it through the law, and met a brick wall with their superiors engaging in abuse just as much as their many colleagues. It was so constant I wondered when these guys ever found time to do police stuff. The news media always take the side of accused corrupt cops and talk about "police culture" as though that makes any difference. This is a predictable result of allowing the police to eliminate all civilian oversight and accountability and engage illegally in political activity with right wing politicians who promise raises and the elimination of oversight in return for political activity and endorsements by the force, which are also illegal. Now our police don't even do their jobs anymore3 because they don't have to. They openly break the law and also collaborate with right wing domestic terrorists who "back the blue" meaning they support the cops no matter what. It is a result of Americanization of the police in Canada and it's a huge problem that is very difficult to address because the police have unchecked power now, answer to nobody, and can break the law to get their way if challenged.
