    Nice! it is so refreshing to watch a great instructional video that isn't filled with loud annoying music and crappy graphics - well done!

    This is the second time I used this video. Using the key handle to open it is the best tip ever. I used a heavy guitar pic to pry the rest of it open. Worked like butter. Now my two fobs are good for a while. Thanks CarGuy!!!

    Handling circuit board with uncovered hands is a no no. oil on the hands will eventually corrode the circuit board and contacts on the battery holder. If rubber gloves are unavailable, wash hands then use alcohol to remove oil from finder.

    I received my batteries off Amazon today so felt the need to go ahead and tackle changing my C7 battery while quarantine. Remote didn't work at distance or at door and instructions was as simple as saying ABC--- Thanks again!

    Thank you I figured it would be easy but wanted to check to make sure I didn't destroy the thing was glad to find your video it was very helpful I would have started by sticking a screwdriver in the little tiny slot on the opposite side from where you're supposed to pry and most certainly would have destroyed the thing

    Hi CarGuy11. Nice video. I have a 2017 Corvette that just hit 3K miles. I didn't get any warning on my info board about low battery, but I've noticed that I cannot activate the alarm o lock the car using either key fob. Also, I have to really press on the brake to start the car with the fob inserted into the dash. There is about a 3 to 5 second delay when starting AND turning off the ignition. Do you think this could be due to the key fob batteries? I really hate taking the car to my local dealer, so I'd rather try to diagnose and get informed before heading the the dealership. Thanks.

    • @CarGuy11
      @CarGuy11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks yes definitely try a new battery. For some reason the low battery notification is not very accurate lol.

    • @lisaluke2250
      @lisaluke2250 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarGuy11 you are correct. No warning and BOTH fobs needed new batteries. So another side effect from bad fob batteries (other than setting the locks and alarm) is that you have to practically put the brake pedal through the floor to start the engine, there's a 5 second delay, and then after you shut the car off, the engine runs on for about 5 seconds. Glad I tried this. Thanks.

    Are you getting ready for winter?
    Do you use tire non flat stoppers?

    • @CarGuy11
      @CarGuy11  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately yes. I don’t use the flat stoppers. Just be sure tires are inflated to proper level.

    • @Huey7703
      @Huey7703 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarGuy11 I put Nitogen in my tires last year, less leakage due to larger molecule, then go 5psi over. I normally use flat stoppers, but based upon your experience think I will skip it this year on my Michelin Pro Sport AS3+. I use CTEK battery tender too, but dont use a car cover in the garage. I dislike winter.

    • @CarGuy11
      @CarGuy11  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually this year will be the first time I have non run flats on the car so will see if I have any issues with flat spots.
