The supercharger failed and blew the lobe Teflon into my Weber carbs. It was kind of fun while it lasted, but overall this setup wouldn’t work with such a cheap supercharger. Next time it’s gotta be a centrifugal supercharger and not an AMR-500
I was thinking 4 washers between the back of the hinges and the decklid mounts would push the whole decklid up a few millimeters and the pulley wouldn’t rub - and probably not noticeable from the outside…
Yes! It makes a whoosh at every shift. But I am having stumbling issues - so I have swapped out the turbo emulsion tubes and put back the F11 with 2.00 air jets and 1.35 main jets. It seems better but STILL too rich! 10.2 AFR. Trying a few more things today and I’ll do another test drive….
Man, I tinkered with this forever but couldn’t get it to work properly, and then the AMR 500 delaminated the lobes and got Teflon flakes all in my Weber carbs. I chucked the AMR 500 - I should have used a (more expensive) centrifugal supercharger…
I agree.....buy some stand-off latches they're only 20 bucks

Sounds great! Too bad for the paint burned on the lid!! But you could extend the latches so the pulley won’t rub!

It's certainly sounding awesome when it makes the swoosh sound.
✌️ Peace.
Pop the deck lid
