  • Somewhat quick video on how to install a wideband into your SpeedyEFI powered NA6 Miata. Have a couple thousand miles on this exact install with 0 issues. Also felt like including some of the TunerStudio settings to help out, as well as a little TEASER for future videos.

    Quick note for the people doing this. Do not pick a random preset. In the manual for your gauge(can be found online if used) there is a table with that will show what the AFR will be at different levels of voltage. Pick 2 of those and enter in the custom gauge window.

      Good call! I missed that in the manual. Mine called for 4.5AFR at 0.5v at 18AFR at 4.5v.

    As simple of a thing this is, you made this crystal clear to me after i ingested enough info to confuse myself terribly.
    Thank you sir - great video.

    Thanks boss!
    I was looking for clarification on the brown ( - ) Signal wire. this totally made very clear some of the things that the AEM manual did not. I suppose it can be difficult to explain in text something that can do so much without being too technical. whereas you nailed it!

    Do you keep your stock o2 sensor as well? My downpipe has two plugs, how would that work with rerouting the stock o2 plug to the Medusa?

    • @ConnorsCorner1
      @ConnorsCorner1  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you do not the factory O2. The upstream one is for AFR, lower one can be completely plugged.

    so if you were running a stock ecu and did a narrowband simulation on this gauge, would you use just the brown wire?

    • @gibsonholder7229
      @gibsonholder7229 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need to use a Wideband that has an optional narrowband output. Not all widebands have one, you'd have to check the product's information to see if it does. If it does have the narrowband output, then you'd wire that lead to the brown wire and leave the wideband outputs alone.

    Where did you get the white wire for exending the stock o2 plug? (for the 5v positive)

    • @ConnorsCorner1
      @ConnorsCorner1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Amazon. There's some super cheap wire on there in all colors. I keep like 6 rolls of all different colors for future projects.

      @@whcwcjecjecuecuw6654 idk then unless you add another 02 sensor. If using a piggyback I would assume you still need to be getting a reading for it to adjust, but idk about them I have full standalone.

    How many o2 sensors do you need in total?

    • @ConnorsCorner1
      @ConnorsCorner1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just 1. The wideband O2 sensor replaces the factory narrow band O2.
