You are not novice, really good job, and I want to ask you about difference body metal case between 964 vs 993? I read about 993’s more manageable ? Is it possible to change look for 965 style (design of 965 really more nice)-sorry my English not good-- from France))
First time welding in a very long time ;-) I’m not very experienced with the 993 and cannot speak to the differences other than the rear arches having more space even in narrow body. What I’m going for will be same width as the 965.
you dont need to seam weld. You can Mig braze with silicon bronze in pulse mode. No distortion, out of position friendly, and no need to grind and damage the surrounding metal. Just sand the bronze and it becomes invisible to the eye.This is why Porsche uses spot welds. They know welding on thin metal is a loosing proposition. Research the carbon content of Porsche steel and you will find out it does not like welding.
Should really replace the foam insulation padding from the rollbar and put some quality SFI rollbar padding there, other than that great car. Yours will be better

It’s really nice. You can buy the spacers from DP Motorsport for example.

The foam has been changed to the FIA approved once since this was filmed. It’s a really nice car!
