日本では絵を描く技術、絵を描く仕事は、浮世絵の時代から連続性を持って続いてきたので、現代のアニメーターや漫画家に続いているのは不自然な事ではありません。
浮世絵師や日本画家は徒弟制度だったので、明治期や大正期に活躍したイラストレーターや画家の師匠は江戸時代の絵師です。その画風や技法も伝わります。そこに西洋画の技法も合流して今の漫画に伝わっています。
