@@Falsolas spanish speaker I only found some clips in english, so some words are missed and sometimes I don't get some terms and I don't really get what she is talking about
I get this. Having several cousins have since migrated over to the States, their English tends to be more formal and while they can’t always pick up some of my native nuances - in turn they recall more of the bones of the language that I’ve long since forgotten as I’ve just internalized it all… they can teach each other the basics while I teach them subtleties.
Guess sometimes non-native speaker speaks more clearly than the native. Like Kronii(?) and Wawa Her Radenglish is so good!! Love Raden, she's smart and adorable xD
Kiara's got a great vibe with many people, I now realise. Also great to see Raden expand her collab sphere - definitely some good synergy going on here.
In many ways it can be better to learn a language from a non-native speaker. They had to learn it themselves and are more actively aware of its aspects - especially irregularities or unique rules, which may simply never occur as odd to native speakers.
As someone who has no idea who these two are I can't help but notice one thing: Their voices sound so switched. The one on the left looks like she should have a deeper and calmer voice while the one on the right looks like she would have a happy upbeat voice.
I feel like all of ReGLOSS reminds me of Sakaki- they instantly give off a very cool, stylish energy but they're all actually big ol dorks. I love them.
I love Raden, for we share the same hobbies. Like I'm into art, history, and culture. Too bad such topics is not really well appreciated in my country as much

This might be because it's my first time for me to watch a clip of her since all I'm watching is Advent, Promise or nowadays Justice so yeah it's kinda new to me.
I agree with jp watchers on Kiara stream. I'm not a native en speaker and I actually like watching Kiara stream/clip without subtitle, she's so easy to understand maybe because en also not her native language. I hope more en clippers will still put subtitle on their clip.
I would've liked to see their banter in the beginning translated too. They talked about stream time or something, like they had a miscommunication about when the stream starts or something. It was a cute moment.
1:35 its rly true, its one of the reasons i watch mostly Kiara(beside she played games i liked and has a open and funny personality). My english is fine i think but i have problems with accents and when speaken to fast and using words that are harder to understand.
Raden is under appreciated in the west. She is freaken hilarious, but between speaking very fast and using more difficult words, she is harder to clip.
It's better to learn a language from someone who had to learn it themselves (unless they are a qualified teacher or have studied their own language academically). Native speakers don't have to 'learn' their language, so they often have no idea about the quirks of the language that trip up learners, and can't answer most questions about rules or grammar because they've never had to learn them.
As Kiara says the JP members find her English easier to understand because, being German, she probably speaks better English than the native English speakers. She uses less slang, pronounces her words more clearly, and doesn’t run her words together nearly so much. Native English speakers often have a tendency to not bother pronouncing half the syllables in a word, we all have accents, and will take every possible opportunity to contract multiple words into as few syllables as possible. I’ve heard from many immigrants that having learned English in their home country they came to England only to find they had absolutely no idea what anyone was saying and had to practically relearn the whole language again.
I love how the JP/ID girls always seem so surprised when they realize that Kiara is European. Kobo: THOSE ARE YOUR REAL EYES! I THOUGHT THEY WERE SOFT LENSE!
i think Kiara, being esl, is probably a better english teach to her japanese coworkers because she probably understands better what would make it easy to learn a native english speaker who doesn't specifically teach it or study it would not 100% notice certain intricacies that could make it hard to comprehend
Raden, growing up in Japan. Kiara, being a weeb and studying real hard. Except for her motivation, Kiara is nothing special, if she could do it, so can you if you dedicate yourself to learning.
You can blow a Japanese person's mind by telling them the loan word they use for part time jobs, arubaito, isn't from English, it's from German arbeit.
Quite plausibly, since you don't take all the weird idiosyncrasies of the language - which is basically a creole when you get down to the brass tacks - as a given.
That doesn't matter. Any advantage you gain over a native (being aware of how you learned it etc.) is easily diminished by you not being a superhigh level like a native is.
@@broadbandislife Is that a trick question? An educated person who also happens to be a native speaker obviously has a high command of his language. Higher than pretty much anyone who is an adult learner.
@@GarnetTillAlexandros Where did the "educated" qualifier suddenly come from? Because that's not what you originally said. Never mind now that's not even how it works.
