I haven't watched any of these dramas and I'm sure they're far from being masterpieces, but tbh after hearing so much about how chinese netizens critisize everything down to the colors of the costumes, I can't help but feel bad for any c-drama creators and actors. For me, all it takes to enjoy a drama is a good solid story (the most important thing) and a decent acting. Just look at The Untamed- It had some of the crappiest CGI and low budget production, yet it rocked it. And honestly even those fantasy/ period dramas that get critisized for their visuals are still stunning, so people seriously need to chill and re-learn to just enjoy things.

I totally agree. Ju Jingyi can't act. I will never watch any of her and Esther Yu drama. I did some checking on Ju Jingyi. She started out as a singer in a girl idol group. Maybe she is good at singing but definitely not in acting.
It's quite misleading to use Wang Ruichang in the thumbnail for a video about "Worst C-Dramas in 2024" when many netizens praised his acting as General Chang Yuqing in Fighting For Love... He was one of the only good things about the drama.
Agreed. His character was really interesting, and for being a young man, he did a great job of pulling off the confidence and swagger of the general. It would've been a better drama if they'd focused on the relationship between the FL and the general.
I take it the main problem of Chinese TV industry is unqualified scriptwriters. Hence poorly-written dialogues, cliche'd stories and one-dimentional characters. Being unable to make up their own plot the poor writers would cling to web-novels, manhuas and even games. Actually, this is a trend nowadays: similar things are happening in other countries. Hey, comics have become the safest source of stories! Comparing to this Chinese dramas are not that bad.
Naturally there are untalented personnel. But one of the main problems is the sheer amount of dramas they put out, it becomes formulaic. I’ve only managed to finish six or seven whole series in four years. However I watch those several times each.
I listened to another Chinese producer saying the issue is you put your heart into it and it just won't pass review. If it's too complicated, convoluted ( for the rest of the world creative and exciting), less chance of passing review. So do you invest loads of money to be shelved (1%chance it gets through) or write an idol drama that seems toddler language and pass? Then make 2 or 3 of the dumbed downs and get your money back. A lot are now pushing for the latter. Also the ones that are "creative" are usually forced to do rewrites by review. So by the time we see it it's a heap of mess "untouchable lovers " is a good example

In blossom, it felt rushed, and the 2nd lead character death was soooo random..didnt make sense at all and i loved the 1st actress be4 the actual lead took over...sth was lacking tbh

I agree. The first actress in In Blossom was excellent. It’s a shame they replaced her. It actually took me several episodes to accept to the new actress but she was not believable as having the history she was supposed to have. She acted like a princess. She and the male lead lacked chemistry. And like the narrator of this video said his “love” which was really obsession with her made no sense. It was like he felt like she belonged to him because of some silly childhood promise. It was ridiculous. The mystery was descent but could’ve been better. The series could’ve been shorter as a whole. And I agree there was no reason whatsoever for the SML to sacrifice himself.
I watched Romance of the Little Forest because of Zhang Binbin. Esther ruined it. Her acting is so stiff and fake. I did not finish watching the drama. She has no business in acting.
I liked SandF 6 because I'm a big fan of Esther Yu. However, she needs to be more of a serious actress like she was in "My Journey To You" and maybe she will be more respected. Xu Kai did have a great drama in "She and Her Perfect Husband". He was brilliant. However, he seems to be getting more lackluster in his current dramas. I also didn't like the acting of the FL of "In Blossom" and there was no chemistry. Liu Xue Yi, on the other hand, is a really good actor. The rest I haven't seen. But, there are many more dramas that should go on another edition of Worst dramas for 2024 imho. Thank you.
@@yukxii Yeah I got that feeling too. I used to like Xu Kai but his "romance" dramas are pretty lame lately. He shows no passion for the FLs. Except for "Wonderland of Love". I will never forget near the ending. Wow!
Esther is highly overrated, her voice makes me shut the drama right then and there. Her acting isn't great too. Wan Peng was so many times better to be casted as fml than Esther
Any movie that chen zheyuan is can't be a flop Just seeing his face makes the movie watchable I was a lot disappointed in xu kai drama had it on my phone and had to struggle to finish it
I liked In Blossom but I agree with a lot that was said and it could have been better. I love Xu Kai so I was able to struggle through Sword & Fairy. Esther’s voice got better further into the drama.

Everyone has there own opinion, Chinese paladin 6 was my favorite on this list I couldn't even skip an episode. I enjoy watching Esther she is cute and funny. Anything with Xu Kai is a no skip for me. In blossom was a good drama too
I watched Sword and Fairy 6. I love XuKai, but I was disappointed I couldn't follow the storyline. In the blossom, the 2nd female lead was better than the main lead. I skipped a lot and just watched the last few episodes.

Quality of dramas dropped recently. Even with famous actors, can fail as the storyline is bad. True that many gave up after a few episodes. I did that too. Can't stand Esther's high pitch voice..gives me anxiety. Men in Love too dragging. Forced myself to finish it.

Ju jingyi or "dingly dangly " as we call her as she always has a tonne of hair accessories in. She cant act and everything she has been in has flopped, she's just there for "looks"

Agreed with you, I stuck around the Hunter because of Zhang Song Wen. - I didn't bother with Sword and Fairy because of the FL. She can't act and I am boycotting her. - I could not pass episode 8 with Fight for Love so I dropped it. - Xu Kai can not act either, especially in costume drama so I don't bother with it. - Ju Jingyi should quit acting, any drama she is in, ruined them all. Too bad for all the good actors who paired up with her.

Good script can save bad acting but bad script can’t save good acting. If I find the drama boring, it’s not because of actors or actress but it’s more of the bad script.
@4:30 minutes I recently finished Sword and Fairy 6 with Esther Yu and Xu Kai. Although I did feel something was slightly 'off' about the storyline ( at times), it still pulled me in, and I personally liked the innocence of the main characters ( which I get was not always realistic but it's a drama, not real life!), as they developed through the different situations and challenges they faced. The love plot between the 2nd male and female lead could have been elaborated on more, and it would be interesting if writers and producers could take those 2 characters and create their own separate drama. Nothing is meant to be 'perfect all the time', even entertainment, and that's okay.
I only came across SAF 6 in this list and Yep that annoying baby voice made me drop it. As to why these producers and directors think it's cute🤦 I have no idea.
So glad comments and viewers are not accepting crappy and rushed Chinese dramas being cranked out these days. It’s really hard to find good Chinese historical dramas. So many look like preteens dressed up like adults with an older voice dubbed in. I hope more and more viewers complain and show their disapproval by staying away. The last drama I liked was Legend of Shen Li.
I couldn't agree more with the analysis on In Blossom. The moment the female protagonist changed, I knew the series was doomed. I don't know the names of the actors but the first female protagonist did such an excellent job of engaging the viewer and the character and her story were believable. Her replacement on the other hand was a total turn-off. She cannot act even to save her life. She looked so scarily thin and fragile that I could not concentrate on the story. Also, the transition between the two female leads was poorly done and I just couldn't buy into the forced relationship between the male and female lead after the transition. It had so much potential but unfortunately, they messed it up.
Yes pretty accurate. Jun ji 's acting is pretty bad, she acts like shes doing a school play. Ester is trying but that baby voice is fake and annoying. These rich kids should stick to being rich.

The only part I could manage to enjoy in fighting for love was the section involving the FL and the SML (Wang Rui Chang playing General Chang). I think the series would've been far more interesting if it had focused on that relationship since those two characters were almost equals in intelligence and abilities. The give and take between them was interesting to me. After that arc, the FL going back to the ML looked like a really dumb idea.
I'm watching Fighting For Love now. I'm on Ep. 20. It's very disappointing that this drama gets worse as it goes along. I was enjoying it so much for all its action and I like the actors. I also started Sword and Fairy 4 but dropped it because I found it uninteresting. I won't try to watch SAF6 because I don't like the actors and have found them disappointing in the past. I don't like nepo babies unless they can act. Otherwise, it's awful that no-talent ppl can take the place of real actors.
Seriously, are all the people watching dramas not knowing what are these dramas about?? A lot of people here criticize Esther for her voice and acting in Sword and fairy, but she did absolutelly perfect job. She was praised by fans of the game according to which the drama was created. She did Yue Qi perfectly, the voice was exactly like in a game, her acting was perfect. She even made the director cry by her acting in one of the sad scenes. In fact, the whole drama was perfect, with perfect acting from all the actors. Game fans consider it as the best adaptation of the game series from all already filmed. It’s just that the plot is not an easy one, you have to pay attention and use your brain to understand all what’s happening. And obviously many people don’t like to think when watching a drama, they prefer easy romance /o:

I read a few of them and there they write about high pitched voice, child-like voice.. In China, they obviously like this kind of voice. Besides, if this voice wouldn’t be wanted by the directors, they would dubb her by someone else - many chinese actors are dubbed, she is one of a few who dubbs all her dramas herself. Try My journey to you - her character there needs matured voice, so she uses matured voice. She also dubbed Gwen from Spiderman. She can change her voice perfectly, exactly how the director wants her to..
This is so true! in LBFD she morphed into 3 different characters. 1 the switch 2. the fairy 3the Fairy Goddess. All exponentially different personalities all played by the same actress very successfully in one production. Love her or hate her its your choice but obviously, she has proven she can act! sing, dance, model ..entertain. Give her her flowers!!

Fighting for Love is especially BAD. I think the problem is the director, who has an obsession of portraying emperors as cruel and psychotic. In his work such as Dragon Pearls, he showed that he has skills to start the series well but always fall back to the same old plot.

Being a cdrama fan for a long time has made me realize that people only care about looks and not talent , you have to be extremely beautiful for you to be considered talented but same people mock actors for doing plastic surgery 🙄. The other thing have noticed is how people with rich parents are treated differently especially if some people don't find you attractive they find any little chance to discredit all the hard work everything because you have rich parents,only those who grow up without money are allowed to slack but still they will still make excuses for them... Some case with Esther Yu all the hate she gets is not mainly because of her acting and voice it's because alot of the male lead's fans that she is paired with are popular and have huge fan base who feel Esther Yu shouldn't deserve to be paired with thier trophies 😂, because they feel she's not on thier level but it's okay notice keep bashing Esther's with the nepo baby card because considering her coming from a rich family it would have been easier for her to use her money to secure very good roles that's why i don't blame other nepo babies who abuse thier influence because imagine working as hard as someone from humble background but you always get discredited because your parents are rich anyways the hypocrisy will always never cease to amaze me 😮😂
JOL2 was my way of spending time waiting for the weekend episodes of Missing Crown Prince. Of all the dramas in the video, I only watched In Blossom in which viewers had to suspend belief for a couple of major points in the plot. After doing so, I was able to enjoy the good guys winning in the end.
You know if you notice its the netizens all the time that get to rate a drama and most of the time when other viewers like me watch them we find these dramas to be good. I guess netizens are a difficult group to find anything good to watch.

I really felt her emotions in that drama, she was exactly how I would imagine character like that could be like. Luckily, many people (and most importantly directors) already noticed how good and how dedicated actress she is, so I hope for more good roles for her. She is pretty succesful now, in acting and dubbing. Complains about her voice are funny, she modulates her voice exactly how she is supposed to, most of her characters are supposed to have high pitched or child-like voice - it is for some reason popular in China.

I tried Sward and Fairy because Xu Kai, but first 5 minutes when I heard FL overly dramatic too cute voice I stopped then and there. If ML or FL is overbearing or week / senseless I'm done.
It is obvious you didn’t understand the plot (o; Her voice was absolutely perfect for the plot. It is based on a game and in this game, the character Yue Qi has maybe even more high pitched voice. It is supposed to be mentally 3 years old child at the beginning of the story. I consider this drama very good with perfect acting from all actors. It was downgraded by haters and also SVIP used for the first time here didn’t help the heat. The plot is not the easy one, you have to pay attention and use brain here - it also caused many didn’t understand the plot (or just wanted to watch something less complicated with more romance). But it was in fact pretty good and the best Sward and fairy adaptation according to fans of the game series.

I get it though , but I walked into this drama blindly without any idea of plot or game. Fighting for Love had a good beginning but quickly went down hill when the script reverts to the tired story of emperor being cruel and scheming BECAUSE he has the responsibility to care for the country and so he feels right to slaughter innocent people!
Sword of fairy was totally super good with Xu Kai he’s is best and true actress in all male Chinese drama, the people who’s saying it’s was bad cause they just hating or they must be blind.
I think they were really out of line to criticise Xu Kai. He's had so many briliiant roles, but he was working with a lacklustre script, and not a great partner. There's not much you can do in those situations.

In Blossom is ( Liu Xue Yi & JJY) is not that bad..it's only they don't have a chemistry and i think JJY is not really fit as the FL here. Xu Kai in Wonderland of Love is very good..but i am so disappointed in Sword and Fairy. TBH, i hate Sword & Fairy series because their ending never good. Always Bittersweet or tragic. This is the same as Novoland series.

I haven't watched so much CDramas this year unlike last year... I must have been fed up with the plot and it's not interesting enough. The Legend of Shen Li didn't failed me, though 🙌🙌🙌 Since that drama, I haven't found some interesting and worth to watch CDrama. When I mean interesting, the main leads should have the Chemistry, the actors and actresses should also be good (no limit to their facial expressions and knows their character well), and the comments from viewers shouldn't be about poor editing and cliché storyline.

In blossom started good and went downhill. I gave up...ML is great but I've concluded I'll never watch anything ju jingyi is in again. So i bailed. I skipped sword and fairy as soon as i saw her in ep 1. I liked Esther in my journey to you but find her insufferable in anything else. Xu kai is cute but limited. So no to sword and fairy 6. I dont watch modern chinese dramas. Sounds like the criticisms are mostly valid.
For my part, I didn't know this actress at all. In the drama ''In Blossom'', I found the story interesting at the beginning with the first LF (I don't know her name, but she's a very good actress). As soon as they switched bodies, my interest waned, and the main reason was this actress. I'm not an expert, but this young woman can't act, she was horrible in this series and I gave up in the 8th episode.

@@antboy4972 Yes. I thought JJY was surprisingly good and different in the beginning until I realized it was simply another actress who did not get properly credited! That ruined it for me, although I did not dislike JJY in other dramas and did enjoy S&F4 MORE than S&F new. That said, my FAVES until now were indeed To The Wonder and War of Faith (THEY ABSOLUTELY DESERVE PRAISE, and even the Weibo 9.4 To The Wonder garnered before settling at 8.8), and I liked Blossoms in Adversity, also Amidst A Snowstorm of Love billiards romance in the beginning of the year. But I lamented the dragging script and counter-use of Liang Jie who could not help struggling with the stupid character she got saddled with, alongside Hu Yitian in Men in Love, a protracted drama which got rather disappointing to me (15 episodes should have sufficed instead of the boredom of 40 for that remake from an already not that enthusing Kdrama).

Невероятная клишированность во всем. Будто это все делается на одной фабрике, без использования таланта, ума, фантазии и воображения. Кто в это виноват и что делать? Пусть сами решают, но я рада за китайских зрителей. У них есть вкус и мозги, они не хотят тратить свое время на откровенную чушь и за это им можно аплодировать стоя. Актеры, в данном случае, последние кого можно винить в провале.

I haven't watched any of these dramas and I'm sure they're far from being masterpieces, but tbh after hearing so much about how chinese netizens critisize everything down to the colors of the costumes, I can't help but feel bad for any c-drama creators and actors. For me, all it takes to enjoy a drama is a good solid story (the most important thing) and a decent acting. Just look at The Untamed- It had some of the crappiest CGI and low budget production, yet it rocked it. And honestly even those fantasy/ period dramas that get critisized for their visuals are still stunning, so people seriously need to chill and re-learn to just enjoy things.
I'm still wandering why many producers still get Ju Jingyi even though most of her dramas are flops or poor ratings? Are these producers are idiot or blind?!
I totally agree. Ju Jingyi can't act. I will never watch any of her and Esther Yu drama. I did some checking on Ju Jingyi. She started out as a singer in a girl idol group. Maybe she is good at singing but definitely not in acting.
I watched In Blossom. It could have had fewer episodes. I stuck with it. The second male did not need to sacrifice himself like he did.

Agreed. His character was really interesting, and for being a young man, he did a great job of pulling off the confidence and swagger of the general. It would've been a better drama if they'd focused on the relationship between the FL and the general.

I take it the main problem of Chinese TV industry is unqualified scriptwriters. Hence poorly-written dialogues, cliche'd stories and one-dimentional characters. Being unable to make up their own plot the poor writers would cling to web-novels, manhuas and even games. Actually, this is a trend nowadays: similar things are happening in other countries. Hey, comics have become the safest source of stories! Comparing to this Chinese dramas are not that bad.
Naturally there are untalented personnel. But one of the main problems is the sheer amount of dramas they put out, it becomes formulaic. I’ve only managed to finish six or seven whole series in four years. However I watch those several times each.

I listened to another Chinese producer saying the issue is you put your heart into it and it just won't pass review. If it's too complicated, convoluted ( for the rest of the world creative and exciting), less chance of passing review. So do you invest loads of money to be shelved (1%chance it gets through) or write an idol drama that seems toddler language and pass? Then make 2 or 3 of the dumbed downs and get your money back. A lot are now pushing for the latter. Also the ones that are "creative" are usually forced to do rewrites by review. So by the time we see it it's a heap of mess "untouchable lovers " is a good example

In korea too they have great actresses. In blossom, it felt rushed, and the 2nd lead character death was soooo random..didnt make sense at all and i loved the 1st actress be4 the actual lead took over...sth was lacking tbh

I agree. The first actress in In Blossom was excellent. It’s a shame they replaced her. It actually took me several episodes to accept to the new actress but she was not believable as having the history she was supposed to have. She acted like a princess. She and the male lead lacked chemistry. And like the narrator of this video said his “love” which was really obsession with her made no sense. It was like he felt like she belonged to him because of some silly childhood promise. It was ridiculous.
The mystery was descent but could’ve been better. The series could’ve been shorter as a whole. And I agree there was no reason whatsoever for the SML to sacrifice himself.
I really thought I was the only one that felt that way. The first FL did a beautiful job with her acting. I ended up not finishing the series.

I liked SandF 6 because I'm a big fan of Esther Yu. However, she needs to be more of a serious actress like she was in "My Journey To You" and maybe she will be more respected. Xu Kai did have a great drama in "She and Her Perfect Husband". He was brilliant. However, he seems to be getting more lackluster in his current dramas.
I also didn't like the acting of the FL of "In Blossom" and there was no chemistry. Liu Xue Yi, on the other hand, is a really good actor.
The rest I haven't seen. But, there are many more dramas that should go on another edition of Worst dramas for 2024 imho. Thank you.

I watched Sword and Fairy 6. I love XuKai, but I was disappointed I couldn't follow the storyline. In the blossom, the 2nd female lead was better than the main lead. I skipped a lot and just watched the last few episodes.

Quality of dramas dropped recently. Even with famous actors, can fail as the storyline is bad. True that many gave up after a few episodes. I did that too. Can't stand Esther's high pitch voice..gives me anxiety. Men in Love too dragging. Forced myself to finish it.

I recently finished Sword and Fairy 6 with Esther Yu and Xu Kai. Although I did feel something was slightly 'off' about the storyline ( at times), it still pulled me in, and I personally liked the innocence of the main characters ( which I get was not always realistic but it's a drama, not real life!), as they developed through the different situations and challenges they faced. The love plot between the 2nd male and female lead could have been elaborated on more, and it would be interesting if writers and producers could take those 2 characters and create their own separate drama.
Nothing is meant to be 'perfect all the time', even entertainment, and that's okay.
I only came across SAF 6 in this list and Yep that annoying baby voice made me drop it. As to why these producers and directors think it's cute🤦 I have no idea.

It’s really hard to find good Chinese historical dramas. So many look like preteens dressed up like adults with an older voice dubbed in. I hope more and more viewers complain and show their disapproval by staying away.
The last drama I liked was Legend of Shen Li.
I couldn't agree more with the analysis on In Blossom. The moment the female protagonist changed, I knew the series was doomed. I don't know the names of the actors but the first female protagonist did such an excellent job of engaging the viewer and the character and her story were believable. Her replacement on the other hand was a total turn-off. She cannot act even to save her life. She looked so scarily thin and fragile that I could not concentrate on the story. Also, the transition between the two female leads was poorly done and I just couldn't buy into the forced relationship between the male and female lead after the transition. It had so much potential but unfortunately, they messed it up.

I’m a fan of Easter Yu but the script is crap! I can’t stand the drama. It’s sucks!
The only part I could manage to enjoy in fighting for love was the section involving the FL and the SML (Wang Rui Chang playing General Chang). I think the series would've been far more interesting if it had focused on that relationship since those two characters were almost equals in intelligence and abilities. The give and take between them was interesting to me. After that arc, the FL going back to the ML looked like a really dumb idea.
I think a lot of the problem with Sword and Fairy had to do with two dramas coming out with the same name
I'm watching Fighting For Love now. I'm on Ep. 20. It's very disappointing that this drama gets worse as it goes along. I was enjoying it so much for all its action and I like the actors. I also started Sword and Fairy 4 but dropped it because I found it uninteresting. I won't try to watch SAF6 because I don't like the actors and have found them disappointing in the past. I don't like nepo babies unless they can act. Otherwise, it's awful that no-talent ppl can take the place of real actors.
Seriously, are all the people watching dramas not knowing what are these dramas about?? A lot of people here criticize Esther for her voice and acting in Sword and fairy, but she did absolutelly perfect job. She was praised by fans of the game according to which the drama was created. She did Yue Qi perfectly, the voice was exactly like in a game, her acting was perfect. She even made the director cry by her acting in one of the sad scenes.
In fact, the whole drama was perfect, with perfect acting from all the actors. Game fans consider it as the best adaptation of the game series from all already filmed. It’s just that the plot is not an easy one, you have to pay attention and use your brain to understand all what’s happening. And obviously many people don’t like to think when watching a drama, they prefer easy romance /o:

I read a few of them and there they write about high pitched voice, child-like voice.. In China, they obviously like this kind of voice. Besides, if this voice wouldn’t be wanted by the directors, they would dubb her by someone else - many chinese actors are dubbed, she is one of a few who dubbs all her dramas herself. Try My journey to you - her character there needs matured voice, so she uses matured voice. She also dubbed Gwen from Spiderman. She can change her voice perfectly, exactly how the director wants her to..
This is so true! in LBFD she morphed into 3 different characters. 1 the switch 2. the fairy 3the Fairy Goddess. All exponentially different personalities all played by the same actress very successfully in one production. Fighting for Love is especially BAD. I think the problem is the director, who has an obsession of portraying emperors as cruel and psychotic. In his work such as Dragon Pearls, he showed that he has skills to start the series well but always fall back to the same old plot.

Being a cdrama fan for a long time has made me realize that people only care about looks and not talent , you have to be extremely beautiful for you to be considered talented but same people mock actors for doing plastic surgery 🙄. The other thing have noticed is how people with rich parents are treated differently especially if some people don't find you attractive they find any little chance to discredit all the hard work everything because you have rich parents,only those who grow up without money are allowed to slack but still they will still make excuses for them...

JOL2 was my way of spending time waiting for the weekend episodes of Missing Crown Prince. Of all the dramas in the video, I only watched In Blossom in which viewers had to suspend belief for a couple of major points in the plot. After doing so, I was able to enjoy the good guys winning in the end.
I watched Joy of Life 2 it was great! of course I like the Action part of it! Great cast as well!

I watch ester drama only one. She speaks like a 4 years old. Xu kai should reject work with her
She is very good voice actres, she does what she is supposed to do. In this drama, she was supposed to talk like 3 years old, because that was her character’s mental age. She did great, you just didn’t understand the drama.
@@lentr4165 I watch all ester drama and I drop all of it after the firdt episode, except for one drama with zang linghe. However, i think she has monotoneous expression. I keep wathing because of the ML.
@@aroundmypet3925 I disagree with that monotonous expressions, she has very expressive face. But Yun Weishan is not a character with rich expressions, yet still, she expressed her emotions perfectly. I really felt her emotions in that drama, she was exactly how I would imagine character like that could be like. But it seems to me you kind of don’t like her, so this makes you to look for faults and ignore what’s good.. Nevermind, I don’t think I could change your opinion. Luckily, many people (and most importantly directors) already noticed how good and how dedicated actress she is, so I hope for more good roles for her. She is pretty succesful now, in acting and dubbing. Complains about her voice are funny, she modulates her voice exactly how she is supposed to, most of her characters are supposed to have high pitched or child-like voice - it is for some reason popular in China.

i enjoyed fighting for love,is the ending that i wanted more and in Blossom i finished to see what will happen but the remaining i stopped watching them

I tried Sward and Fairy because Xu Kai, but first 5 minutes when I heard FL overly dramatic too cute voice I stopped then and there. If ML or FL is overbearing or week / senseless I'm done.
It is obvious you didn’t understand the plot (o; Her voice was absolutely perfect for the plot. It is based on a game and in this game, the character Yue Qi has maybe even more high pitched voice. It is supposed to be mentally 3 years old child at the beginning of the story. I consider this drama very good with perfect acting from all actors. It was downgraded by haters and also SVIP used for the first time here didn’t help the heat. The plot is not the easy one, you have to pay attention and use brain here - it also caused many didn’t understand the plot (or just wanted to watch something less complicated with more romance). But it was in fact pretty good and the best Sward and fairy adaptation according to fans of the game series.
@@lentr4165 Use your brain here? I'm not you. You talk about plot, what plot when I couldn't last first 5 minutes. I get it though , but I walked into this drama blindly without any idea of plot or game. And that high pitch voice is not for me and that's all to it. there are certain voices I can tolerate and cant. I get you are a fan of the drama and the game I respect that. Sometimes not all of us have same likes and dislikes.
Fighting for Love had a good beginning but quickly went down hill when the script reverts to the tired story of emperor being cruel and scheming BECAUSE he has the responsibility to care for the country and so he feels right to slaughter innocent people!
I only liked esther in my journey to you because her voice there wasn't annoying but all her other characters have the same annoying voice.

I think they were really out of line to criticise Xu Kai. He's had so many briliiant roles, but he was working with a lacklustre script, and not a great partner. There's not much you can do in those situations.
Esther is a great partner idiot. The only fault in that drama is xu kai that has no acting skills.
I liked Fighting for Love, but I hated the ML and the whole romance angle...they should have left that part out.
In blossom was a decent drama I just dont really like ju jingyis acting no hate towards her but its just most of the dramas ive watched where she was the female lead i would often find myself wanna drop it

In Blossom is ( Liu Xue Yi & JJY) is not that bad..it's only they don't have a chemistry and i think JJY is not really fit as the FL here.
Xu Kai in Wonderland of Love is very good..but i am so disappointed in Sword and Fairy. TBH, i hate Sword & Fairy series because their ending never good. Always Bittersweet or tragic. This is the same as Novoland series.

I haven't watched so much CDramas this year unlike last year... I must have been fed up with the plot and it's not interesting enough.
The Legend of Shen Li didn't failed me, though 🙌🙌🙌 Since that drama, I haven't found some interesting and worth to watch CDrama. When I mean interesting, the main leads should have the Chemistry, the actors and actresses should also be good (no limit to their facial expressions and knows their character well), and the comments from viewers shouldn't be about poor editing and cliché storyline.

In blossom started good and went downhill. I gave up...ML is great but I've concluded I'll never watch anything ju jingyi is in again. So i bailed. I skipped sword and fairy as soon as i saw her in ep 1. I liked Esther in my journey to you but find her insufferable in anything else. Xu kai is cute but limited. So no to sword and fairy 6. I dont watch modern chinese dramas. Sounds like the criticisms are mostly valid.
All those dramas not interesting to me esp the actresses....
Melody of golden age is also another boring drama, fast forward watched only the romance scenes only.

For my part, I didn't know this actress at all. In the drama ''In Blossom'', I found the story interesting at the beginning with the first LF (I don't know her name, but she's a very good actress). As soon as they switched bodies, my interest waned, and the main reason was this actress. I'm not an expert, but this young woman can't act, she was horrible in this series and I gave up in the 8th episode.

@@antboy4972 Yes. I thought JJY was surprisingly good and different in the beginning until I realized it was simply another actress who did not get properly credited! That ruined it for me, although I did not dislike JJY in other dramas and did enjoy S&F4 MORE than S&F new.
That said, my FAVES until now were indeed To The Wonder and War of Faith (THEY ABSOLUTELY DESERVE PRAISE, and even the Weibo 9.4 To The Wonder garnered before settling at 8.8), and I liked Blossoms in Adversity, also Amidst A Snowstorm of Love billiards romance in the beginning of the year. But I lamented the dragging script and counter-use of Liang Jie who could not help struggling with the stupid character she got saddled with, alongside Hu Yitian in Men in Love, a protracted drama which got rather disappointing to me (15 episodes should have sufficed instead of the boredom of 40 for that remake from an already not that enthusing Kdrama).

Низкое качество во всем: проработке характеров, мотивации героев, истории как таковой, фантастического мира. Неубедительная игра актеров (кривляние вместо погружения в образ), пустые диалоги, нереалистичные ситуации. В целом, однообразные костюмы, локации и повороты сюжета. Невероятная клишированность во всем. Будто это все делается на одной фабрике, без использования таланта, ума, фантазии и воображения. Кто в это виноват и что делать? Пусть сами решают, но я рада за китайских зрителей. У них есть вкус и мозги, они не хотят тратить свое время на откровенную чушь и за это им можно аплодировать стоя. Актеры, в данном случае, последние кого можно винить в провале.
