- No More Virtual Queue For Rise Of The Resistance means HUGE CROWDS! Rise Of The Resistance has gone Standby Queue for the First Time. In today's Disney Vlog we are at Galaxy's Edge to check out how the new queue goes, and I give my opinion if it's better or worse! Also Rey remembered me which always makes me happy, I hope you enjoy! :)

they got rid of virtual cue just in time for people to pay lightning lane that premium price to not wait 4 hours. 😂 timing is everything 👌🏻

Don’t worry, the normal wait times isn’t more that 65 min away now, obviously, the first day had to be crazy, and in other side, isn’t the favorite ride for many people like me, my boyfriend and I liked, but our big favorite in Galaxy Edge was the great Millenium Falcon 😉

Hey JoJo! I’m so excited that I don’t have to get a virtual queue for ROTR now but seeing this line, definitely hoping when I go next year, it’ll be a little lower. Either way, I’m so excited to go on for my first time ever next year. It’s gonna be so epic! Sorry to see you had to go through this crazy line. I’ve been keeping track of the wait times each hour and it’s now up to 3 hours!! WHAT?! If I was there for this long of a line, I’d be going insane after waiting that long! Great video JoJo!

Congratulations on 96K subscribers. I was at Hollywood Studios this morning. I didn't go on Rise of Resistance but I finally rode Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad. Great vlog as always. Looking forward to your next vlog. Maybe I will run into you on my visit.
I’ve been keeping track of the wait times all day for it. After it hit the high at 220 minutes, it has gone down during the day. At 3 pm, it’s currently a 50 minute wait, tied with Slinky Dog
You should show us what wait times for Rise of Resistance are like if one went closer to closing time for the park.
Insanity!! Dropping the virtual made me drop a park day for my upcoming Nov trip...we will be avoiding HS until this craziness dies down. The worst part is this isn't even PEAK, it's been a ghost town all over the parks, but the 4 hour wait is just nuts!
The normal wait times isn’t more than 65 min now, that was the first day

@@K.Rothesomesauce16 obviously, I’m not talking about right now, when the park it’s closed. Lol, I’m talking about the afternoon, like 3 or 4 Pm, just check your MDE app, the park isn’t never empty, but the crazy wait times was specially in the first day when the ride open without virtual q
@@dalilacantante1 I meant during the Fall down season...not peak Summertime crowds. The fall is historically light crowds.

Hey JoJo, how ya doing? I hope this is not the new norm but if you only come down like 1x, then getting any chance to ride is a good thing, so disappointing when you miss a boarding group. Those CMs were great!! Chewie's reaction to you dancing was funny - I love how they recognize you!!

Hey for any of you who are visiting for the first time, just some helpful info. In addition to all of the helpful info jojo provided(Thanks). There was one slight oversight with the info given. For those watching they may be led to believe that rise is completely doing away with their virtual queue. Which isn’t necessarily the case. If you’re visiting Hollywood studios, it is ALWAYS in your best interest to check the my Disney experience app for possible changes. Disney’s specific wording on this is “availability of standby queue may be limited and is subject to change at any time without notice. Virtual queue may be used again at a later date or from time to time.” Personally I do believe this is to see how standby is going to work prior to their release of genie+ but regardless, if you’re looking to experience this ride, be sure to check the virtual queue tab in your apps prior to opening to see what route should be taken for your magical visit. Awesome videos all around jojo. Thanks and keep up the amazing work!

I'm excited I don't need a boarding pass because last time I never got on this ride. I'm so excited. I'm not going to get on until after my lightsaber appointment later in the day.
I am going tomorrow to Disneyland and will be doing Rise because I will be doing the VIP tour for my birthday so pumped to experience the ride also keep up the great videos JoJo
The real question is what are they planning on charging for Rise with the Lighting Pass Plus up charge. I think that is the real reason they dropped the virtual queue. Ol Bob wants to make a bunch of money up charging guests for things that used to be included.

What my mom Suzanne said no more boarding group system and when I go inside of rose of the resistance when I get my pin I’m definitely gonna say no more frickin boarding group Disney made a smart move for this attraction.

I think they got rid of the virtual queue for the time being so we will get used to having to wait long for it.. so then we will be willing to pay to cut the line when genie plus comes out, which I think will be happening soonish.

I have never been on Rise. I am a early morning riser, but I have a stupid phone and I was always afraid of not getting a boarding pass! I made my 1st reservation for savi's workshop on Halloween! 🎃

yes it is hard for us who are tech challenged and can't get on to the 7am queue which books up in seconds. So being out of town at least we have a chance.
I dont really go to first days because some things may break down or errors can be made since its the first day opened with people and plus, wait till after the hype is over and get a really small line
I do not like virtual queues because I only get to visit from out of state every few years and don't want to miss a ride due to not getting a boarding pass.
Well for those nervous about waiting in an astronomical line, if you have a resort room, you’ll get in line 30 minutes early

I actually miss the boarding groups because I’ve always got it and hate waiting in long lines so I like being able to do other stuff until my boarding group was called
But not everyone can get one.
@@jeanettesmith765 yea but you had two chances to get them either at 7am or 1pm and if you cant get it that day try the next day for me it was easy to get them every single time! I had fast fingers to grab them
I prefer the stand by line. I was in disney two weeks ago and I wasn’t able to found a boarding group so I missed the ride

For me, I think the virtual queue and the standby wait line has its pros and cons. The virtual queue controlled the crowds and they provided a comeback time which is good for families and people who are visiting for a day. The only con of the virtual line is that most families had to wake up really early and there were a lot who were not able to grab a comeback time.
The standby line also has its pros and cons. The pros are that everybody can get on the ride. Regardless, if you wake up early or go late in the afternoon. The cons is that this land is one of the most famous lands and has some of the coolest attractions and obviously, families and people want to visit and have fun. So, that means the standby line is probably going to always be extremely long.
A lot of people are not going to buy the Lightning Lane pass or not going to be able to because of the hefty price tag but it is an option thay Disney is going provide from now on.
Me and my family was there today and I was disappointed they removed the que, every time we check the ride was at 85min stand by, but luckily we were able to ride it once when the ride first open in 2019, and also earlier this week, but I think they need to bring the que back
It’s a great ride but who wants to wait for 4 hours. I did get there early last time I was there to get a boarding pass but got one for 4pm which was fine as we did other rides and went back to our villa for lunch then returned to park
ROTR standby is better than virtual in that you can ride it more than once!☺️
I was starting to get worried when we hadn't seen JoJo in a couple of days.
Like with FoP, it’s rope drop and near the front of the pack, or forget it. I like having the standby queue, but would only do it at rope drop.

I think stand by is good because it’s more fair as to who can ride it… but lines are going to be quite long for a long time! 😬🙊

I hope they still have the standby line when we go in Oct. 2022 Everybody in Fl and Ga is at the ride. I hope you can use a DAS pass to get in.
No big mistake but Disney could tell if u never seen this ride if your a passholders Disney, all passholders should be given a chance to ride and know a lot that can’t ever get a pass.
I prefer both options I think it would be great to have a line for people that did not get the queue and to have another line for the people with the queue thing
If they decide to take away the virtual queue for Rise at Disneyland then the standby lines will be all the way to Splash Mountain and possibly close to the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square is my best guess.

Rise of the resistance is at a 45 minute wait and slinky dog dash is at 50 minute wait, tbh I expected this to happen lol
Hey JoJo, so obviously my comment is from the perspective of a local. I am glad I experienced Rise as often as I did because I refuse to wait any longer than 90min tops. This really disappoints me as I feel it’s nothing more than a ploy to generate $ for genie+ when it launches.

But people at Disney hotels will have half an hour early entry. Rope drop will be worse then
You’re going to hate me but I’m not a Star Wars fan but my son is and we rode it last year and I think it’s a horrible idea! I hate to say this but I’m not sure what’s going on with Disney 🤷🏻♀️ we live in NJ but come twice a year for 10 days, not sure if I’ll continue after my passes wear out in August. ☹️
If you look at Hollywood studios in birds eye view, I’d argue that’s the slower way by far!

So.....I’ll be heading here the second weekend of the 50th celebration. Setting my expectations for a 4 hour wait. No ride is worth the wait so I need some one to try to convince me that it’s worth the wait if it does goes down in time. As of now a 4 hour wait?!?! See ya later
