Like the dozens of Rom Com's that are released on Netflix or The Red Box every week starring Chris Evans that were obviously filmed long before his current popularity with the Marvel movies.

It is a shame because the book is absolutely amazing and was so well laid out with a detailed but able to follow plot that clearly took a lot of thought and was really exciting. This film just shat all over that.

I liked how Harry Hole, the legendary detective, pretty much does nothing to solve the case. His partner does most of the work and then he follows up a bad lead and blunders onto the killer's identity. He denies that the killings are even connected WAY after the point that any reasonable person would say that's probably a serial killer. Some master detective he is.
Ooh, boy. I live in Oslo and know somebody who worked on set. From what I hear the production was generally rushed, and the people working on the film were overworked. It's a shame it sucks, from the time I visited my friend on set I've been looking forward to the movie. Too bad.
It's a shame that the movie was so bad, because the book was great. The movie tries to take the plot of the book literally, with the scene jumps, but that only works in the book.
The book is really good though, the movie looked really good in production and it was all the hype here, but once it dropped it was slaugthered by everyone. A critic commented that "it felt like he just had read a summary on the book and made a movie about the summary"
