  • I fixed my Recaro seats.
In today's episode I repair a Honda / Recaro seat plastic trim cover which is NLA (No Longer Available) Part number: 81638ST7Z01 "COVER, Reclining (L. OUTER)" .
I remove the cover from the seat and repair it's distorted shape and its cracks using a heat gun and Q-Bond. I follow the instruction from Q-Bond. Then I touch up the repaired area with Transtar 2 in 1 satin black paint. Shame the Acura didn't get these seats as well as Australia and Japan.
All the little details like this are very important when tidying up a car.
OEM FTW on this classic Japanese car. The Honda Integra DC2 Type R needs to be preserved and enjoyed as the classic it is now recognised as. If you enjoy this type of video let me know in the comments. This car is my Honda Type R OEM build. There's still a few mods to be removed and more tidying up on the car is needed. Some people call these classics a DC2R so I'll write that and ITR in here along with Acura which might help our North American friend find my videos. I know sometimes my videos are very basic but hopefully they will help some people and I like to document what I do to the car with video while trying to be creative Most of the time I do everything here myself which is a big job and its hard to remember everything, But I shoot most of this stuff with my old iPhone and sometimes my old GoPro. The Pieces to camera I film with my Canon 5D so I don't use video cameras at all. Although I would love to get one one day and get a Gimbal too which will open up a lot of creative shots in future videos.

Very nice job. I had the same issue with mine. Luckily I got one of the last NOS originals. I kept the old one though... I did try to repair it, but not being the sharpest tool in the shed fecked it up. Used the wrong glue for a start and didn't use a heatgun. So after a week or so it sprang back and laughed at me. :) As far as I remember you can get a NOS replacement part from Recaro. It's essentially the same part, but has Recaro stamped into it.
