That would be nice having a curry base vid. I LOVEE curry's . Love your cooking too btw just had to say that. I also love how clean you cook too , everything is always nice and clean. 🥰
@@caribbeanpot .. I had a food orgasm with this dish.. that flavor profile.. omg.. the roasting of the geera seeds in the beginning is key.. what a game changer ..
If you can't find achar masala, use dried mango powder (amchur), red chilli powder and garam masala. It gives a similar flavour and IMHO is even better than store bought achar masala. Pro tip: always buy whole spices and dry roast and grind them - you won't use as much as powdered spices and the flavour is way better! Btw, this recipe was bomb! One of the best Caribbean curries I've made! Also, use fresh curry leaves if you can.
I always been nice in the kitchen, but this right here......watchin this right here, just made me want to start focusing more on Caribbean food. I have stray away a bit since I have such a wide range. Thanks brother, Shalom
Definitely gonna make some curry beef this Sunday. I love curried goat but I don’t buy it anymore because of too much fat and too many bones for my money. This is a good alternative. Thanks Chris for these great ideas 😊❤
This looks absolutely delicious 😋😋😋. I've never had curry beef before, chicken and mutton yes but never beef. Can't wait to try this 😊😊. Yes I would love to see the video of the curry base please and thanks 😊👍🏾
Made this incredibly delicious recipe yesterday evening. Hands down the best Trini beef curry I’ve tasted. Trying to send you an email on your website Chris but Captcha is giving me an error, it keeps resetting and timing out.
Yummmm. I always have to cook after work and that does be around 6/7 pm but I always find time to season the meat even if it's for just a twenty/ thirty minutes and still build flavor with the base. I just have to season the meat first 😅
Where are the measurements located? And also could we sit the beef in a bowl of water & baking soda to help tenderize the meat before adding to the curry base?
@@matthewedwards7172 not doubting you (BTW putting beef bones with boneless goat in cooking is a trick restaurants use so they don't have dry beef). Consider the size of the bird and 2 animals you mentioned, a goat and chicken are much smaller and less meat, so chances are you'll have them more readily available with bones.. a beef cow is massive and much easier to get boneless cuts. For the most part, the only beef with bones we get in Canada is bones with little or no meat on it.. basically for making stock. BTW using uppercase is consider rude unless you're yelling at me?
I can’t handle the heat of a chili, so can I not use a scotch bonnet pepper? By the way I love your accent! Wished my trini husband still kept his 😂 also, I don’t have any thyme leaves. I have ketchup, green onions, no potatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper, paprika, white onions, curry powder. I don’t have any chado benni, I do have dried cilantro leaves. I live in California so we don’t have lots of the required ingredients for this dish.

Looks like a delicious curry. Would game meat like goat, water buffalo be suitable?
most definitely... wish I could get some water buffalo to give a try
@@caribbeanpot if you ever come to Australia we have it down here. It tastes like a better cut of beef.
