- The Nintendo Switch has a ton of games to choose from, in all sorts of different genres. I always enjoy more calming gaming experiences, so today I'll be going over some of my favorite chill and relaxing switch games! Remember, all of this is just my opinion and not a formal ranking or anything. Thanks for Watching!

Breath of the Wild is a pretty relaxing game for me. Sure, it has it's stressful moments, but it also has plenty of relaxing moments too. It's nice to chill out at a town or stable after a tough quest, or to ride my horse around Hyrule while listening to calm piano music and taking in the scenery.
I was really close to including Breath of the Wild in this video, since exploring the world can be so relaxing. But I decided not to because of the guardians and combat. Those piano notes while running around Hyrule Field are so good though!
@@NintendoHero Well, for me, the stressful parts like guardians and combat make the peaceful parts all the more rewarding.
Can't beat Hateno Village night theme nor Zora's Domain night theme, both so peaceful
@@NintendoHero silly reason not to. Most of the game has no guardians. It's an amazing game to wonder in.
I will fall asleep roaming around a forest or fairy fountain picking flowers and mushrooms. So peaceful and nice with the music....
Then the bloodmoon arrives, and even with zero volume, the controller still shakes. How rude when someone is napping!
Spiritfarer is lowkey addicting. I'm 40% through and I can't put it down. Once you're done with something, there is something else that pops up after. It's great.
It’s one of my favorite games tbh. Only player it once but an incredible experience.
A Short Hike is such a masterpiece. I first played it when it came out on Humble Monthly. I still come back and play it every now and then when I want some chill vibes.
A short hike has to be one of my favorite games. I got it for free from epic games on my pc and was initially skeptical about it since it was an indie game. Boy was I wrong... I had an amazing time playing it. It’s fun, has a cool art style, and the music is great. Every character has there own personality as you talk with each of them. Such a cute and wholesome game. I recommend this game to everyone who reads my review of a TH-cam comment XD.
Same, definitely one of, if not my favorite game. In games, even one’s I enjoy, I always find myself wanting to get to the end of it. A Short Hike was the first game I got so caught up in I never wanted it to end.
It's definitely a masterpiece that's for sure. It's a shame there aren't more games like it but I guess that's what makes it so unique and great
Abzu is one of my favorite relaxing games to play. The music is great and all the creatures are so beautiful.
One of my favorite relaxing games has actually been SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. I’ve played that game so many times and it’s so easy to just mindlessly walk around hitting robots and collecting shiny objects 😄
Yonder the cloud chronicles is my favorite relaxing game. Lots of quests and absolutely beautiful graphics and scenery

I always hope someone will mention Go Vacation in chill game videos, not only is it my go-to relaxing game, it's one of my favourite games too. I love the little mini-games and activities but I spend most of my time playing either just exploring or snowboarding. One of the most fun games I've ever played. Happy you mentioned it.

I LOVE Go Vacation. I know that it’s not a very popular Switch game but it’s a very relaxing game for me. I love it so much that I’m considering creating an ACNH island inspired by it. I love exploring the island so much.

@@diegone080 a Switch port came out a few years ago. I’ve never played it on the Wii.
I dumped way more hours into this game than I'm willing to admit, most of which honestly went into 100% completion (screw the diving game btw) or chasing each other around the resorts with a friend
We definitely need a Wii Sports Resort port or sucessor on the Switch, how has this not happened yet
Oh my gosh thank you so much for including Go Vacation, it is criminally underrated! Most people see this game as nothing more than a minigame complication, but it is more than the sum of its parts. Yeah, the main activities aren’t as fleshed out or polished as Wii Sports Resort, but the open world is what makes this game for me. Exploring is way more fun than you would think, it has a wonderful nostalgic vibe that I adore. My friend and I love this game and have a tradition where any time I’m over to visit I bring Go Vacation for us to play. We spend hours just roaming around, it is genuinely delightful. One of our favourite things to do is sit together on the ski lift and listen to the in-game radio station, there’s truly nothing else like it. There’s an Iwata Asks interview where the developers said that their main goal was to capture the magical feeling of being on a vacation, and oh my goodness did they achieve that in spades. So many fond memories with this game, it’s frustrating how misunderstood it is. Everyone should give it a shot, especially since it’s no longer just on the Wii. The Switch version even adds fishing, which makes the game even more relaxing! Go Vacation my beloved :,)
My siblings and I love this game so much, our dad bought the wii version at a pawn shop back in 2013 and at the time we left it to collect dust because we thought there was nothing exciting about it. We picked it up on a random day and couldn't let it go after lmao. There's so many hidden places to find, specific lore for different places, the treasures to collect, it truly is a relaxing place where you feel like you're on vacation, while making it an incredibly interesting and charming world to explore ! I'm a bit sad they scraped the "achievements" from the wii like "jump over X bridge" "find the secret tunnel" because it gave some overworld challenge, and i'm absolutely devastated that the fishing mini game has bug, and if I catch the last fish, my console will turn off. I wanted to 100% so bad 😭I wish they would release a sequel with different activities on a different island, but I'm already so content with it and glad to know people enjoy it too ! Long live DJ Spacer 🙏

I immedality went WHAT WII SPORTS RESORT SHOULD OF BEEN! I went "Wishlisttttt!" since he showed it off. Resort is amazing no doubt BUT this has 50 some activites on here. love quantity over quality. I MEAN SURE both is good but the quality is ALREADY so polished imo.
Red lantern is by far my choice for most relaxing switch game. Short and sweet. I'll play threw it any night I'm feeling overwhelmed
Some of my favourite chill games are Haven Park and Donut County. Relaxing games that can be played for a quick 5 minutes or a chill hour.

Summer in Mara, Yonder: Cloud Catcher Chronicles, Spirit of the North, and Disney Dreamlight Valley are VERY relaxing.
Besides the ones you mentioned in your video, these ones hold a special place in my heart.
I bought A Short Hike for me and my daughter and i have to say that i never thought it would be this fun. It's one of my favourite games that i always come back too. Bought it for around 2,49€ in the e-store. Best value for money that I've probably spend on a game 👍

i want to back up your recommendation as well with a short hike. its such an amazing cute relaxing game! very very very good, i recommend everyone to check it out! i initially played it bcs i thought it was going to be a quick short indie game that i can add to the list of games that i've beaten, but i ended falling in love with it. the island, the characters, the collectibles, the controls. i beat it in one night, but not only because of how short the game is, but because how much i wanted to keep playing it.

on the wii i spend an insane amount of hours in Go Vacation. and after years of playing it i still found new secrets in the ginormous open world maps. Go Vacation is in my opinion better than Mario Odessy when it comes to the openworld part. Plus you can explore with friends. The city map was my favorite because it feels so alive and the amount of tricks you can do with grindin on the many rails was always so much fun. I'll never forget the big jump off of the rocket all the way to the highest building in the map.

Donkey Kong country tropical freeze. It’s a weird-ish pick because it’s a hard game but replaying these beautiful levels before bed always puts me in a relaxed mood.
And The best game music ever! The water music is especially relaxing.
A short hike was a really cool game. Wish there was more levels. Ill buy a part 2 if there was one.

I get relaxed by great exploration aswell so breath of the wild and even hollow knight are chill games for me!
I'm pretty shocked I've never heard of Alba, it looks so chill and right up my alley. Definitely added to the wishlist.
I'd throw a big recommendation out for Yonder. Has a similar art style to Alba. No combat, just exploring a beautiful world and helping restore the island. It's so good.

Stardew valley, Animal crossing, Minecraft, and Go vacation are so relaxing and enjoyable. I’ve had quite a few memorable moments while playing them, whether I was talking with villagers in animal crossing or stardew valley, or exploring the vast world in go vacation & Minecraft it was great. My favorite being Minecraft which has infinite world generation allowing you to always have new areas to explore.
I used to love stardew valley, but nowadays I feel like the time restriction would stress me out.

I think trails of Zero (coming out officially in west on most modern consoles including switch) will be my favorite chill game (basically a police/detective anime drama lol)
Dragon quest builders and DQ treasures are my chill games.

Go vacation is definitely my favorite relaxing game
you really should play Haven Park I'm going to buy it soon as apparently it is similar to a short hike also I'm glad we share a love for wii sports resorts the best game of all time
xenoblade chroicles is a relaxing game for me as well as the fire emblem games as well as forager

Minecraft is not relaxing at all if you know the herobrine myth 😂, I used to play the game with constant fear when I was a kid worrying if herobrine will ever pop up, especially in the mine

It was ok but stardew valley is so much better as it still gets updates and I’ve had it for a year and I’m not bored with it unlike animal crossing. After I did everything it was boring and the developers stopped adding new things.
