    I have been a Nail Tek for 45 years and the E-file has saved me in my career.
    I took a class 20 years ago on E- fileing.
    Taking care of your body and mental health is very important to have a long career. I am going to service my clients as long as I can. Passion nail technician.

    Electric files are brilliant. I'm not even a nail tech, I do nails for one friend, just because I love doing it. I learned from YN videos, it is easy if you bother. (I actually use one for craft stuff too). I practised on my own nails, never damaged them with the e file. However, when I had to soak off with Acetone, my nice strong nails got wrecked, and it took 6 months to get them back again.

    I’ve been doing nails for about 10 years off and on, when I’m not working. When I first started I was a carpenter and a wild land firefighter and for the past 6 years I’ve been doing cna work and I’ve been going to school for my nursing license lately so I’m not working as much so I’ve been supplementing my income with doing nails again. I invested in a good efile and a different table, and some bomb*** YN products!! But yes self care is a must!! Thank you for everything you guy provide!! I appreciate all of your services and support!! You guys really look out for the best interest of your nail community and customers!! Thank you guys again and keep up the fantastic work!!!

    This topic is so important. We don’t always think about this. You guys are so awesome. I love that you think about everything. I love this. Thank you again.

    I suggest you ditch the chair and go with a large exercise ball. They have stands to keep them from rolling all around. The ball forces you to sit with good posture & they are extremely comfortable when sitting for an extended amount of time!

    Thanks for covering this topic. I did ask in one of your videos for it. So thank you and yes we need to take care of ourselves and teach client how to sit properly when doing nails 🤗👍

    Yes!!! 100% I wish when I was 18 (1997) and started nails someone would have told me. 10 clients a day with no hand file, ugh I hated my wrists.. 😫I don't think people get how sitting all day is alot on your body.. The way you sit, have clients hold their hands, etc. By the time I was in my mid 20s I had carpal tunnel. I tried changing my field and office work bothered me too. I had to have surgery on both wrists. Yes that death grip! 💀 Now that I'm healed I'd love to get back into doing nails ft again I love it omg the mental part of it!! The therapy! I used to dream about them so bad.

    My wrists always hurt after doing a set 😩 I would love to see a video on tips on how to hold the e file & whatnot even when I would write a lot in school I would get exhausted from writing & have to take breaks because I’m so heavy handed

    I am General Manager of a restaurant and have been in food service for years. I do solely press on nails BUT being a nail tech sounds a lot like being a restaurant manager/server/bartender re: dealing with people. Sometimes I get home from work & I tell my hubby like today was a people-heavy day, just give me a minute!!

    • @cmayo5659
      @cmayo5659 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I was a career bartender, those rude customers are rude everywhere they go. Some nights it took me hours to unwind after work.

    • @TereseLeigh
      @TereseLeigh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@cmayo5659 True. But not even rude guests. I find my experience is that only a small percentage are rude but they stick out like a sore thumb and seem many. But even when you have a great relationship with the regulars for example, it’s so taxing to hear their stories, listen to how their day was, talk about their kids and their work life, and their spouses so forth and so on. After interacting with several people like that a day, I get exhausted. I relish the days I can just work on the kitchen helping out the BOH or washing dishes. Lol

    • @cmayo5659
      @cmayo5659 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TereseLeigh yup, it's emotionally draining. I worked in a very small little bar for about 12 years. The regulars kept us going. It's not easy to keep a business relationship. Things get messy when your 'friends' with customers.
