Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through TH-cam videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

One of the best moments on this show, and honestly in British tv in general, is Sean Lock’s reaction to child actors!
The Vacuum on Teletubbies was called "Noo Noo". No idea why I remember that when I can't remember my PIN number.
People who didn't experience cold war just do not understand what an existential crisis it was, specially when you were too young to understand it fully. I knew since age 6 and had nightmares for years. Berlin Wall coming down was extremely cathartic moment, when finally that dark fucking cloud was lifted.
I was 18 and working in the City of London in 1982 when the nuclear attack siren suddenly sounded. The siren was rising and falling, just like a WW2 air raid warning. It felt surreal, and terrifying. It was only a test but not everyone knew that. The Cold War was a very scary time.
That dark fucking cloud is slowly coming back.

I've been subscribed to you for what seems a very long time. I like that you are professional enough to just be yourself, and let your quirks shine. In all honesty, that is the biggest compliment someone like me could make. I'm not a good fit to overtly edited and crafted reactions. I like a simple camera set up that has a record button. As long as the audio is clean and relatively balanced, I'm good.
With that said, I have tried so many times with other "reactors" to push for some >>> Green Wing
That is why there are many of us here that have been here for a long time.. Connor is just himself, fails and all and wears his heart on his sleeve. His ego is not in his way, like it is with many who feel the need to do reactions..
I don't know if you're familiar with 'After Work Reactions' but I'm on his Patreon and I've been voting for Green Wing in the polls for a while now.
I think that once it gets popular amongst reactors, we'll see it go off 👍

Re: the pirate bit. How's about this for fucked up...years ago there was a kids cartoon in the UK called Captain Pugwash. They had 3 characters with VERY suspect names. They were: Master Bates, Seaman Stains and Roger the Cabin Boy :D
That's a myth, though a funny one. Captain Horatio Pugwash - sails the high seas in his ship called the Black Pig, assisted by cabin boy Tom, pirates Willy and Barnabas, and Master Mate.

BAWDY - An entertainment style popular in the UK. Especially in those over 50. It involves telling risquee material to a family audience.
Like you said mate. Your not trying to be dirty minded. Thats just how the jokes roll. The carry on films from the 1960/70s are a popular example of this. The movies ussually centre around some kind of farce involving couples, Lots of alcohol and mistaken identity.
They are close to what turned into the USA teen comedies. Things like Porkys. American Pie and later Judd apatows career.
They are very of their time. But last time I checked. Carry on behind, Carry on Abroad, and Carry on Camping were all on youtube. I think youd love them mate.

I agree there's such a thing as too perfect and I think I know why. It's because if every feature is perfect, nothing stands out at all. Every supermodel looks the same, there's no way to tell one face from the next. Most of the superhot actors and actresses at least have unique features. I don't think Margot Robbie would make it as a supermodel as an example, but she's way more attractive than any supermodel.

Just done my good deed for the day! I've just come back from Sainsbury's where I was behind an old lady in the queue. Her bill came to £58.76, but when she counted out all her change she just had under £50. I thought she's probably someone's Nan and I'd like to think someone would help my Nan in that situation especially coming up to Christmas, she didn't want me to help her but I insisted, and in no time at all we had her shopping back on the shelves. and put her trolley back for her.

Can't stand James Corden, the 2012 show of Big Fat Quiz is the only one I've not watched. He was on another one and that time partnered with the great Sean Lock but that show James was fine mainly because the oaf didn't act like a total prat.
