Yes, definitely. I think I'm in the minority when it comes to not enjoying Longbourn. If you do read it let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!
I think you captured the core of Jackson's horror well in that she plays with the capability of evil/cruelty in people, the transcending of general norms and even the twisted way a community can work together towards cruelty if it becomes the new norm (like in The Lottery). I haven't read Dark Tales (but other works of Jackson), but I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on it.
Thank you! I haven't read The Lottery yet but I definitely will in the future. On the whole I really enjoyed Dark Tales and would recommend it to everyone. If you ever pick it up I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I completely agree that is a huge risk. I do think i'm in the minority with Longbourne because many people liked it but I just couldn't get pass the language and how the Austen-spark was missing. Thanks for watching!
Ooooh, Longbourn! Its been on my TBR list for awhile. I'll risk potential boredom and check it out anyway :D

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who didn't love Longbourn. Snow White sounds awesome, I must check it out.
Let me know if you do. Thanks for watching!

Even though it didn't sound like a perfect book, I really curious to read Longbourn.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on it Katie! Thanks for watching!
I haven't read Longbourne, but as a writer, what a risk to place your book in Austen's world. How does anyone ever live up to that standard?
