It's crazy how youtubers with millions of subscribers can't just explain a video as good as you just did in detail. I've looked at sooo many videos for understanding how to daisy chain with this hub the correct way and every youtuber speeds through it. Thank God you made this video!!
Amen. Im about to transition to a NZXT case, mobo and probably fans too (since you are forced to use their fans if you want full RGB capability and as we all know, RGB gives you more FPS and skill ^^) so this video helped me alot understanding how to set it all up beforehand Praise the RGBism!
I agree with some if not most of the comments here, your video was concise- straight to the point and actually resolved something i couldn't get to work around. Thanks for the video !
dude your video was better than 99% of other youtubers, you don't need budget, you just need to be able to explain and show concept and method thank you!
Thank you for walking us through the set up process. I came here after looking on a pc build where they didn't get into depth on telling us how to do the syncing between fans in depth but you did! Cheers man. I hope you are doing well and staying in good health 😊
Thank you! I was pretty perplexed at first even after reading the instructions. Basically the lights need power AND rgb. Rgb chain goes to led in the hub. Then the fans can either be powered by the hub OR in my case the kraken power supply. 2 separate hookups, power AND rgb. Thanks again! This video helped.
Its always the ok quality videos that are for the people fam!! No click bait right on my brother you can aslo use a fan splitter n plug up to three fans per fan slot the hub is a must for the nzxt to work efficiently🤦🏽♂️
The issue with these fans is you can only daisy chain up to 3 fans. I installed an NZXT Z 73 cooler and then tried to daisy chain 3 case fans of it from an empty "out" socket. It would only run the RGB on 2 of the case fans, not the three. Thinking I had either a duff (u/s) fan or cable, I bought another fan. No amount of fiddling and cable swapping made the 3rd case fan work. I'm planning to add some led lights to my pc so I bought the NZXT Hun and a couple of led light strips, the hub should sort the issue out. This should be better explained on the NZXT website, your vid confirmed what I have learnt from other sources on the web. It's frustrating. Thanks for sharing this.
Nice video! This content is def lacking out there. Esp with the z73 aio and all there nzxt fans too, it gets pretty confusing. I've got a headache trying to wire all mine up, heres to hoping it all works out!
God bless you bro, I just started my first pc and my friend had helped me since he had experience, we were confused on why the gb wasn’t turning on but now I found out why because of you 🙏
I didn't think this video was going to answer my question. I have 3 rgb nzxt fans on my nzxt h5 elite case but kinda wanted the bottom fan that blows up to the gpu to be rgb too cause it's so dark down there. But didn't think I'd be able to use another one. This answered that. Thank you I liked and subbed
Thx bro I’ve been looking for a video like this for the past 3 hours because the NZXT „instructions“ are the dumbest shit I have ever seen in my entire life.
Omg you saved me. Been trying to find an answer and here it is! Also I just bought the kraken z53 and want to put 2 of these fans In there, instead of using the nun rbg fans that come with it. Is it the same setup or there's a different way ? I'm new into PCs and I'm building my first one, so don't really know much, thank you btw !
Quick question: for the nzxt fans and liquid cooler I am using an asus motherboard that has aura sync but not sure if nzxt rgb is compatible with an asus b550 motherboard? How did you get it to work on your motherboard without an nzxt motherboard? I also heard if I plug my f120 fan into my asus motherboard it will burn my fan out…
Very informative video 👍 If I'm only installing one of these in the rear nearest my CPU can I skip the in/out cable process? Or does it need one plugged into the *in* on the fan and the other end to the *out* to the nzxt hub? Or do I need to daisy chain this to my nzxt z73 RGB kraken?
Hmm everything seems to be connected and working, but for some reason I’m getting a fan error. It it because I disconnected the fans from the mobo? My fans are all connected to the fan controller, which is then connected to the mobo. What am I doing wrong?
I'm so confused by this. So each fan has a power cable that goes onto a sys_fan header, right? And the second cable you plug into the fan itself in the "in" spot, and then goes directly into the controller, which is plugged into USB2.0? So these will light up without ever touching a JRAINBOW or JRGB or whatever they're called on the motherboard?
If I just want to use one fan do I only have to connect the 4 pin cable to the controller if I only want to change the colors of it, or do I have to plug multiple cables into the controller just to control the RGB of one fan?
The OUT cable doesn’t fit in the NZXT Hub. Any solutions? IN is connected to the IN on the Fan and the OUT has to go into the Hub. The 4 pins are correct but seem not to fit anyway.
Did you plug all 6 into one rgb slot? If so, each slot can only support 40 LEDs (5 aer rgb fans). You’ll have to split the rgb between both spots on the controller.

Just came to thank you. I've watched 20+ videos on how to connect the damn thing and couldn't make it to work until I found yours! Thanks a lot!
I agree with some if not most of the comments here, your video was concise- straight to the point and actually resolved something i couldn't get to work around. Thanks for the video !
The simpler videos are sometimes the most helpful. Thank you!!

I need this video to get promoted or something because this is the only video where someone finally explains how to do it. Thanks man
Appreciate your help no other video made any sense, this literally took me under 2 minutes to follow from your video
i'm about to fit these in the morning and this is by far the best explanation I have found. Thank you.
You were the only one who solved my problem.
THANKS SOO MUCH!! I was so confused on which cables to use and where I plug them in. Amazing video!

Best explanation on whole youtube. Thank you sir.

Thanks for sharing this.
You've explained this better than the damn manual.
Thank you so much! Great, simple explanation that solved my issues after hours of frustration. NZXT should really let you write their instructions!!
Thank so much for explaining better than other videos. Ive been stressing out what goes where. Thank you again

dude u helped me so much, i was so confused before but u explained it so well. thanks man
Thanks man, i haven´t found any good content on this topic elsewhere.

Thanks, man for the upload
This is the type of video I was looking for
Excellent video probably the best explanation I’ve seen so far thank you👍🏻
YOOOO, this video was exactly what I was needing help with. Thank you SOOO much!
This has been so helpful thank you so much! Going through hours trying to figure this out. Appreciate it!
Literally, cant find this anywhere. Thanks
Thank you for the easy explaination!!

Yoooo this video came in clutch. Thank u

did you figure it out? i’m building my pc today and also have a kraken z53 and also bought 3 aer rgb fans
@@pancake4691 it's easy, just like he said in the video, piggy back em to each other. You do have to have the Nxzt fan hub tho
Helped a ton, friend. Managed to be the 420th to like this vid too :)
This was a big help for me bro! Really appreciate it.
Awesome video! Very useful - thank you :)
Best video out there for this.
Hi. This is very useful. Thank you for sharing!
so for what is the other fans connectors on the hub? nice video btw
Love it keep making videos 🎉
Cool Man…. Much appreciated!!
You should be sponsored by NZXT.... You explain way better anyone else.
Awesome vid, thank you for the clarification.!!!
Thank you, there really wherent any videos
Awesome video! Thanks
Hey great video keep it up

Great work. Thank you
ok but why are there 2 cable going into it? is one for RGB and the other for fan control? where do you plug that into?
You need the nzxt controller ? I have an watercooler kraken x52 cant i plug directly to it??
Did you daisy chain those fans? because I see you only plugged one into the LED on the NZXT hub
I have a NZXT Player: Two and it turns on for a short few seconds, then the fans go to high, then it shuts down. Any ideas? Thanks very much!
Great job!
Hmm everything seems to be connected and working, but for some reason I’m getting a fan error. It it because I disconnected the fans from the mobo? My fans are all connected to the fan controller, which is then connected to the mobo. What am I doing wrong?

My connectors that daisy chain between the fans are not the same siz as the hub connecters how does urs fit
If I just want to use one fan do I only have to connect the 4 pin cable to the controller if I only want to change the colors of it, or do I have to plug multiple cables into the controller just to control the RGB of one fan?
What kind of sata cable specifically did you use because I think Im using the wrong one...
hey i have a problem .. my NXZT CAM no longer recognizes the fan and the water cooling. at first it worked but after a while it no longer worked.
The OUT cable doesn’t fit in the NZXT Hub. Any solutions? IN is connected to the IN on the Fan and the OUT has to go into the Hub. The 4 pins are correct but seem not to fit anyway.
Is nzxt smart devices improve performance of the PC? Please reply
Thank you so much bro
Do you really need the controler hub ?? Cant you plug in motherboard??
Do you need the hub for the rgb to work?
Bro how does your out cable fit into the hub???? Makes no sense
Question: Can I still have each fan have a different color if i sync them?
You should be able to through the NZXT Hub.
Hey, how long is the fan-to-fan cable that you got in the box?
If I had to guess it's about a foot long, maybe a little longer
Enough to stretch from a gaming case front to back (about 0.5m), but not enough to route tidily. They should supply extension cables.
Thank you soo much !
So if I have 9 nzxt rgb fans, do I need 3 control hubs ? Please help
Did you figure this out?
1st fan OUT goes to IN of the second fan and the second fan OUT goes to the IN of the third fan
1st fan IN goes to NZXT HUB
Good brother
Thank you so much
Any chance you know why some of my fans are dimmer then the rest I installed 6 into my rgb controller but 2 are darker then the rest
Did you plug all 6 into one rgb slot? If so, each slot can only support 40 LEDs (5 aer rgb fans). You’ll have to split the rgb between both spots on the controller.
My rgb still does not work I have the hub
Thanks for the video tho 🤙
Thank you
Thanks
so if i have 4 of these rgb fans i cant fit them in one hub?
I don't think so, because you couldn't power all of them through the hub.
@@gwilkers9619 can you power them through the motherboard since the usb is connected to mother Board so it’ll still allow sync
I wish Nzxt made the video on how to install RGB fan and not the useless manual.
@4:00 *reaches for the salt*
BRROOOOO THANKS
