You’ll be surprised my father just purchased a ‘02 Lincoln Blackwood (87K) (private sale) pickup truck in mechanically great condition but the outside and inside of the car was a disaster dude had a hoard of dogs he paid like 5k for it and paid a professional detailer like 500 bucks to clean it up! He attempted to clean it himself but vomited a few times 😂 It’s extremely rare, my father works in the plaster industry and is alway in wealthy areas doing work and it seems that’s were you can sometimes find good deals!
The mint shine is an amazing product. You can clearly see it's cleaning power on those leather seats. Plus the combo of Biobreak and oxyclean on the carpet and mats! Truly satisfying to watch as always! Very rewarding flip!
Have you ever thought about using a pressure washer to spray out the floor mats once agitated? I’ve found It’s much easier to get all that dirt out initially, and then you can extract them dry
Omg the smell!!! We bought our used van for $2000 and had to drive with windows down the SMELL was awful! We detailed it ourselves just such a difference
How do you like yours? Thinking about getting a really used one and keeping it. I know the gas mileage is really bad but how do you approach that vs an SUV with better mpg's?
@PeakVibe TV howdy. Gas mileage is bad, but you don't go to big V8 SUVs for good gas mileage. Like any vehicle there are things you have to eventually fix, but I got it specifically for the 2UZFE engine. I would like to eventually get a smaller daily driver for gas mileage sake but will keep my GX forever. When a regional manager at Lexus tells you that they regret every day of their life without their GX470, then that's a sign. Good luck with your search. I have a few tips on buying if you ever need help. GX470 people are family and take care of each other.
$2500 is an INSANE deal. You did an incredible job as usual. Personally, I would keep that car it’s so nice (assuming it’s mechanically sound & been maintained). Mint Shine is the best stuff ever made. BUY MINT SHINE & change your life! 👊
Why don’t you show the outside also? It’s kinda half ass detail to be honest. Anyone can shampoo a carpet and steam clean a seat. Skill really comes to bringing the outside back to life.
@@StaufferGarageYou should also check the date on the seat belt to the date of the car and see if they match. If the dates don't match, it means the car's been in an accident and the seatbelt replaced.
It's a crazy insane deal and you did amazing... sorry but the extractions will always be my 🫠 favorite. I will sit there and watch a good extraction all day. Maybe take a couple slow passed on the dirtiest passes.. imo then again you do that in a few already so. It is what it is... just keep up your awesome just how it is. Your hard work is my stress free relaxation... THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK!
And thats why you always check the engine/ transmission before buying a car. Anybody can "detail" a car and suddenly its worth 3x more ??? Yea right. Check the car guys.
I learned the hard way not to buy a smokers vehicle. You can spray... Steam...scrub...ozone machine until the cows come home. You will never get all that smell out.
It’s sad to see someone living on this mess… knowing it was a smoker only stresses how important it is to avoid addictions, folks! Stay healthy and safe 🙏🏻
I paid $4500 for the same GX. The guy thought the diff lock was broken but he just didn’t know how to turn it off. It had 182k miles. Sold for $7200 within 20 Hours of listing it.
Love these type of videos! I do have a request..if you can show us how you remove the seats and I know all will be a little different but I don’t know how at all and I want to deep clean under my seats.

Where I live that car would be 7-9k after it was cleaned up. I need to start buying cars out your way!!! $2500 buys a 2000 Camry that has been beaten into the ground around here.
$2,500 for the GX470 is unrealistic. I just sold my 2003 GX with 230k miles and in worst condition for $5,500. My GX was sold in 3 hours of posting, I should have ask for more.
When you put the leather conditioner on there after you steamed the seat just patcha from emperors new groove just peaceful watching the transformation
I think I would have just bought some weather tech mats and trashed the factory removable ones. Spending $200 when you can turn around and sell that for $9k isn’t a big deal

Gotta say you are THE best in the field! Love your videos. I like the fact you don't talk a lot which is ok but can be annoying. You are so detailed and so respectful of the customer which is so important considering how embarrassing this would be for many. 👍
1. Keep the flip videos coming. 2. You ever worry something will fail mechanically after you purchase? I would love to try this but that would be my biggest fear.
It’s just the a part of the gamble. A good pre purchase inspection is key! Also minimize risk, if you buy something to flip don’t go driving it around or doing burnouts etc.

One item that I don’t see you cover in these flips is how you get the smoke smell out of smoker vehicles? I purchased a Jeep Wrangler TJ hardtop to flip that belonged to what I’m assuming was a VERY heavy smoker, stripped the interior including carpet and seats, threw carpet away worked on seats and entire interior for 3 days, put NEW carpet kit in, reinstalled seats after very heavy multiple cleanings, and put ionizer generator in it and ran it for days (off and on) and could not get rid of the smoke smell. Probably won’t buy one of those again but in case I do….HELP!!
@@ncd7184 I used one for many hours and it did improve it but when it got hot you could smell the smoke slightly. Any other suggestions to completely eliminate it?
@@bengraham1907 I would say at that point you probably need to replace any fabric materials remaining in the vehicle that weren't replaced. Most likely the seats and maybe even the seat belts.
@@ncd7184 whoa!! I think I’ll just stay away from purchasing another smoker vehicle or reduce the price significantly to pay for everything and still make a profit. Thank you for the advice!👍🏽👍🏽
Instead of sucking those nasty mats it would have been better to blast them with extreme apc along with pressure washer. That would reduce lot of time and results will me much better.
Oh, man, I totally would have scooped that from you for $5k! I'm actively shopping those right now even though it'll be a few years until I buy one, and people around here (eastern PA) are asking 2-3 times that for the age and mileage. I guess I know where I'm buying my next car!
What are you doing with the old mighty 😂 I just don’t have the money to buy a new extractor was wondering what you were going to do with it and as usual awesome content always love you’re videos

There's no way you could get that in New England for even close to his final sale price, let alone $2,500. As I type, the lowest price on Car Gurus for a 2005+ GX470 w/150,000+ miles within 200 miles of my area is $11,500. These are typically vehicles with accident damage too and that price is $2,000 below market according to CarGurus. This feels like a unicorn flip.
