Sausalito here. Boat houses/floating homes have been a staple here for a long time. Both my friends who live in one have issues with plumbing. Granted the Sausalito boat houses are much older than this one. Still, it’s enough of an issue for them to scare me away. I love visiting them though, convenient to launch my paddle and kayak
Mallard Cove is my dream. I visit Seattle once a year and i often marvel at them. I was talking to another realtor about renting one for a week and she was really rude and never responded back. You're very lucky to live in there. I was outside there for 4'th of july
Unfortunately the City of Seattle doesn't allow Airbnb/VRBO of floating homes :(. And at Mallard Cove the minimum rental term is 6 months. If you're interested in trying one out, I have links in our floating guide to a dock near the UW where you can rent for >30 days. lake-life-seattle.com/guides/seattle-floating-home-buying-guide/
@@lakelifeseattle That's Bullshit....Why did they do that? That explains why the hotels are outrages. No other city in usa has hotels for them prices. SF, La, Austin Even Ny is cheaper. makes no since. I can see places for rent on Airbnb for seattle. I grew up in seattle and it's such a shame how the place has changed so so much.
It is weird! I don't know why they banned Airbnb/VRBO for floating homes, houseboats and waterfront homes in the city of Seattle. Certainly frustrating for owners and travelers!
@@lakelifeseattle i spoke to that popular realtor that has sold a ton of those homes and she told me last year they have a log of homeowners that will rent out for a weekend-week.
Hey. Loved the home tour. Quick question. Are there laundry facilities in the home? Also can the storage unit accommodate appliances like a deep freezer unit? Looking forward to your response.
Yes, this home has a washer and dryer! I don't know if the storage unit has power, but if it did, I don't see why you couldn't put a deep freezer in there. The second bedroom also has a walk-in-closet that could accommodate a small freezer...
