Very nice! Usually I don't like using loads of math nodes but I can see here how they help! The layering of different shaders for the TV screen, the individual pixels, and the banding effects of the TV is especially impressive. I'd really love to see a video breaking down your process, if possible. Also will you ever make this shader available to buy? Great video!
Glad you liked it! Math really is the basis of all proceduralism, so it's kinda unavoidable. I have a walkthrough of the final node setup recorded now, but i started to wonder if should've put more effort into explaining the math? I guess i could make it available for purchase, but for now its available here for the low price of Do-it-yourself :)
@dreadwinter No worries on the math stuff, I think that I, like others, need to just get off my ass and look up tutorials. Any explanation would be brilliant, as usually I've only seen CRT shaders just do the pixelation and call it a day but you went WAY beyond that, with banding, noise, screen effects, vertical and horizontal distortion, and a CRAP ton of other stuff that I can't even figure out the beginnings of. It would also be really cool to see the final animation as that wasn't really in the video, but no worries if that not, still an excellent video and shader!
@@simonvogel161 Erindale here on YT has some really very good tutorials on shaders where he explains all the math. He really knows his stuff. There isnt any animation that i have for this effect specifically. The fox character animation you see in this video is the Eternal Ruins Lodanos video i have up on my channel.

@dreadwinter Thanks for the recommendation! I'm excited to see the explanation video!
