  • I've always had a spot of interest reserved for Traffic Lights, but it's never been much use to me in NZ where all of our lights are exactly the same. Thankfully, the same is not true some in other countries!

Those timed pedestrian lights are very cool. Also the white I and - indication. I drove through Copenhagen in 2019 and didn't see these exotic lights. The suspended traffic and streetlights were very cool. Good video, Nice suspended Belisha beacons too.

Those lines at 0:49 are indeed for busses and trams.
-- = Stop (similar to red)
    * = Waring for stop (similar to yellow/amber)
    | = Straight on may go on
/ = to the right may go on
\ = to the left may go on
There are also some triangle shaped marked for multiple directions

They can also have a white "S" for stop.

The sequence of those traffic lights is the same as UK or Germany and yes those white lights are for buses

Hmmm, that White Light is for Trams in Another Country. But, I think in Denmark , It's for Bus

although I think it would be nice to have countdown timers like those in the UK, there would be a bit of a problem in most places as the amount of time you would have to wait varies depending on which directions traffic is currently approaching from (there are some places with amber coloured countdown timers which come on when the green man goes out, although once the green man has gone out you are not supposed to start crossing)

But there are countdown timers on some traffic lights in London and Glasgow

@@pineappleroad They are a thing in the UK, although they aren't really that common outside London from what I've seen.

Maybe, I'm not an expert. All I do know is that they definitely have "Peek Signals" written on them, so perhaps Peek just re-badged another brand's lights.

this is a really bad idea. Especially when you compare it to the system many European countries have been using for years that change color automatically depending on the pedestrian/vehicle activity. Comparatively this system requires more direct manual input, understanding of specific long winded rules and respect for traffic laws, none of which come naturally to American drivers.
