- The R62As on the 7 line have been removed from service and will soon be moved over to other lines. I took the opportunity right before this occurred to get footage from the passenger-accessible front window, which provides some amazing views. Enjoy!

Thanks for the memories..as a kid growing up in Brooklyn, the highlight of my like was when we rode the train and I got to look out of the front window...pretending like I was driving the train...these videos bring back those memories

I believe either 3/29/18 or 3/30/18 was the last time the R62A's ever ran on Flushing. The end of the SMEE era on the 7 line too.. I'll remember these trains on the 7.
7 train begins underground and ends underground...cool..
And the 3 is the opposite
I have a GoPro Hero 6 now, I just got it over a week ago. I love the 1080p240 and 4k60 setting so much! This video is a perfect example of how good and powerful this small camera truly is!
But everything looks curved, when it's not. I liked the view on Dj's old camera better.

First the R62A replaced the Redbirds then the R188 replaced the R62A on the 7 line

I was trying to find my old station, 46 bliss. Used to take the #7 every day to work in the 80's.

The 7 Line will have the new speakers as well as other lines except for the 7th Avenue Line and Lexington Avenue Line. The R62A is still at the Corona Yard.
No. When they say transfer, they mean actually leaving the 7 lone and resting in a completely different yard.

A lot of new condos in Long Island City being built that I haven't seen before? Very interesting indeed. I have been out of NYC for 5 years now. It has really changed in 5 years?
Long island/Astoria got new zoning plans, and oh my god has the area changed
Condos!? Lol. Wishful thinking. Tenants have no ownership in those buildings.
Was it better back then? This place looks terrible, I really feel bad for the people having to live there.

my favorite line
R33WF/R36WF were the workhorse of the 7 Train 1964-2003. 62A was displaced by the 142A on the 6, now thry are back home on the 6 with the 7 now all R188. This is truly the end of the RFW on the A Division/IRT as those Remaining cars will be vonverted to full cab either to the 1 or 6 train. Sad.
In the third sentence did mean R62a will be converted to full cab?
Alex The railfan Yes. All the 62A that had RFW on the 7 were converted to full cab when transferred to the 6, this is why i am going to miss Car 1960 which was one of the remaining RFW on the 7
I’ve seen a few R62s in garbage duty or in transfer videos in 2021. We may be able to get it on shuttle services.

No, that's an old block signal. There aren't any signals along the track with CBTC.
I can't decide which line is more "oddball" compared with the rest: The "7", the "J" or the "G"!? Maybe the "S"?

The lights are always on, the rats have to see where they're going.
Yeah when I drove in London, it annoyed us when they left the lights on for whatever reason.
What train car number was this? Since the Redbirds faded away, it's no fun riding in the front car anymore.
Why does the 7 line have 11 cars instead of 10?
Cars used are a different length
@@juliannebeland4719 same length as all the other numbered trains of this type. It’s simply a unique trait of the 7 due to station length and ridership.

You don't want the 7 line going to Jersey. Once the subways travel interstate, different union rules take effect, including the right to strike, and the MTA knows this.
Why were those trains as silver as those in Chicago on the CTS?. Everything looked the same as Chicago, with almost every station looking the same, even the buildings in NYC and surrounding areas, as was in Chicago looked the bland same, and so different to how it looked here in London.

The announcer is terrible. When I was a kid on this train the announcer was annoying but you heard him loud and clear.
