Lusy,hi.Could you be so kind to clarify on preposition after verb ,,enter''.I was taught not to use preposition after ,,enter'', but watching video I came across such option ,,enter into''. Which of it is correct?
Thanks Lucy for articulating so clearly so that lipreading (for deaf people like me) is done effortlessly. [I went to bed one night in 2022 hearing and woke up the next morning being deaf. In 2012 my tv turned silent. So I began using subtitles and enjoying the many close-ups during interviews and documentations. I needed nine months for learning it. In Germany the BBC stopped being available a short time after that. What a pity. I used to enjoy all the BBC's programmes so much. Let's say I had become addicted to the BBC's content.]
I’m a native speaker, and I struggled with that one, too. I use both “by” and “on,” but didn’t realise it until this video. I also didn’t realise that “by” is not wholly correct.
Your new video aimed at focusing on prepositons is perfect for learners, from beginner to advanced levels. Thank you for creating such valuable educatinal content.
Спасибо за видео! Тема о предлогах действительно полезна. Я тоже столкнулась с необходимостью улучшить свой английский, чтобы поступить в магистратуру. Обратилась в школу Enline и за два месяца заметно продвинулась. Преподаватель-нейтив помог мне настроиться на язык и преодолеть языковой барьер. И сейчас, благодаря этой помощи, я чувствую себя уверенно в учебе. Было бы здорово получить дополнительную практику с вашей викториной. Спасибо за такой интересный урок!

I got 12. I hesitated between on and by foot, finally opting for the preposition 'on'. I was pleased to understand where my hesitation came from, thanks to your explanation.
I am from Algeria, i am very intersting in learning english because it helps me in my career (i am a professor in university and i have to learn what it is writing in my research fiel), l am glad to find your channel, the truth i had subscribed in it along time ago, but i was not focusing realy on anhencing my english level because i had other urgent porpuses, but now i decide to became fluant in english, and i will base on your channnel. tank you very much for your efforts, hope you achive all your goals.
I got 12 out of 12. To be honest, for the last one I needed the answers to get the correct answer and to pause the video. Without the answers I would have been wrong. Awesome exercise! Thank you so much, Lucy 🌷
Thanks Lucy for such a wonderful session on prepositions. Happy to mention that I scored 12/12. Also, I made an amazing discovery that helped me focus on your pronunciation more easily and improve mine big time. I started to watch your videos on slow speed such as 0.75 or even 0.5; something that helped me focus on your pronunciation and lip read your words. I can’t express my happiness with this discovery and I would encourage others to try it up.
12 correct answer out of 12. I especially answered the last question while you were still reading the options. The questions about "at length" and "true to" were my favorite ones as it was the first time I came across with them. Thank you Lucy🎉
Thanks very much, Ms. Lucy. Not only do I learn grammar, but I also get to know some expressions, such as up a notch and double whammy. More power to you.❤
Hi! I was tricked by number 4 question (the transport error): by foot 😅, but now I know the correct way to express walking somewhere, on foot. Great lesson!!!
I got all right except for the 5th question I'm looking forward *to* the weekend. I thought 'for' sits well with 'the weekend' so, 'for the weekend'. And I felt 'by' goes well with 'foot'. Thanks for the quiz teacher Lucy. ❤
Hi dear Lucy, really u r a wonderful and generous British teacher I've seen, especially for us in Iran where we can not access or have easy access to ur invaluable lessons. I hope you will be the most famous English teacher all around the world .. 🌹🙏🙏🙏🙂
sorry for late. well, my friend I mean easy access to buy the lessons, because Iranian in Iran can not have e-card like visa card , master card ,so on to buy every thing from around the world. @@aham_and_shaheer_myfavourite
English isn't my first language and I'm currently working on improving it as much as I can. Here in this test I was able to score 10/12 which In my opinion isn't that bad. However it was a quiet fun experience to test out my current vocabulary and I got to learn alot, Thanks for the video
Hey Lucy, you gave us another fun and educational video to watch! I got 12/12 and I couldn't be happier at the results. Those 15 years of studying English have been finally paying off it seems! By the way, ngl I had to pause at the last one but fortunately enough I got it correct! Thank you for the video! 💜
As many other students, I scored 12/12! But, some intermediate and advanced questions felt like being eligible for more than one answer option... Thank you, lady! :)
I got ‘by foot’ for the first one which was not correct. I found the advanced ones easier and came up with responses before you giving out the options. Aced the whole quiz apart from the first one. Thank you, Lucy!
Got all 12 correct. I really like your lectures and have learnt many new things that helped me improved my grammer. Lucy please share something about using "to" with "ing" form of the verb in sentences. Especially in resume/cv. E.g "I am willing to take on a new challenge" or it should be "willing to taking on a new challenge".
Got them all right although I hesitated on "on foot" vs "by foot". Strangely "by foot" came more naturally to me, even though I chose "on foot" in the end because it felt like the correct answer :) Thank you very much for your lessons, it keeps me on my "English" toes :D
My Croatian wife struggles with a few of these, but the best is when she tells one of our sons to "go to your bedroom and play with yourself!" when 'by' might have been the more appropriate preposition...
I have got 8 out of 12 however this lesson gave me different experience with proper explanation. I felt the final question was double whammy for me. Thank you so much for lucy's note.
I'm happy. My score was 12/12. The most difficult for me was the 11th. 'In detail' seemed the best option for the first pair, but the 'up with' saved me from choosing the alternative B. You're an amazing teacher, Lucy! Thanks!
Hi Teacher LucyBella, am your student. English isnot my 1st language. One of my ever convo questions was this prep “by foot” -“ on foot” in practical daily living. This time i got it correctly done😊. 12/12. For now
Thank you very much my dear sister absolutely Iam very admirable how you express for the grammar of the language it is the greatest pillars of the language
Thank you Lucy for your Preposition Test. I passed the Beginner and Intermediate tests, but I got few wrong answers in my Advanced Preposition test. Lucy, I will study hard the Advanced English Prepositions.
I thought about collocation AIM ON STH, but now I will try to rememorise it as AIM AT STH. Also, I didn't realize what does AT LENGTH mean before you explained it. Thanks!
That was a beautiful exercise, Lucy! Thanks a lot ❤ I am happy to share that I got confused only with the last one 🎉 Maybe I should start watching BBC news more 😅
12/12 🌟 I barely struggled with the prepositions. The only new thing I actually learned is what a double/triple whammy is 😂. Love your lessons, Lucy - they're always highly informative and enjoyable! By the way, I was wondering if you'd be open to posting more detailed spelling lessons? I haven't seen those on your channel too often, and they're always a bit of a struggle for English learners. Again, thank you for the lesson ❤.
answered all the questions correctly except last two. you makes me really confused with those tricky question. by the way it was so much fun and I hope I'll remember all your lessons. you're the only English teacher I'm following on the Internet over these years and I'm getting benefited out of it. Thank you.
Thank Lucy, preposition is a mystery to me 😩... i fail at q8 - just think it is "in / in ", fail at q10 - just guess it is "on / with", and fail at q11 which i think it is "in detail / up with" because i don't know the new phrase "at length". So happy to learn it. 🙏Thanks. In online intermediate-level exercise q8, i am confused with using "by next Saturday" becuase i always think "by" is a bit similar to "until", but from the meaning of sentence, it becomes weird, did i misunderstand something? 😵💫
I've been caught with "by foot"... Though, I am glad it's not a huuuuge mistake=) And the last one was pretty difficult. Thank you Lucy for this excellent and helpful lesson!

In German schools you usually learn the means of transportation together as by car/train/bike/foot.
